OMG how bad are we? Masters of PPP - Ponderous Pointless Possession. Win all the stats except the one that matters.

Eckert out of his depth. Such an obvious mistake to hire him. Not fair on him, the players or the fans. Whoever made that decision needs to be accountable - bowed to pressure way too early and unnecessarily. Meanwhile Danny Rohl burning it up at Rangers (for those that remember the Will Still vs Danny Rohl debate...I do think we tried to get him in fairness).

No energy, urgency or belief in this team - even when we pull a goal back. Just awful. Fans leaving with 5 mins to go says it all - we all know we aren't going to create any last-minute chances. Watched listening to the Hull City commentators who were very fair - Southampton 'not exactly pushing on after scoring' the understatement of the day.

Questions to answer please:
1. Was that first goal Ryan Manning's fault for an unnecessary and bad back-pass or Quarshie for not 'taking control' - obvious answer is a bit of both, but I thought it was more on Manning when it happened. Eckert obviously blamed Quarshie

2. Was the second goal the goalies fault - he started coming for the ball then changed his mind - or just poor defending at the back post (again)?

I was wrong - I thought Tonda showed promise, but now I think it was the wrong appointment in the first place and he needs to go. The problem of course is that Spors/SR will not do it…they’ve got their puppet and they’ll stick with him or pick an equally shite replacement.

Who’d have thought it, with a complete novice appointed to manage a group of players who were already clearly lacking discipline and desire . You’ve just gotta laugh now at the shambolic nature of all of this.

They appointed a fucking novice last May, and when it inevitably went ‘tits up’ the SFC Brains Trust then appoint someone even younger and with less experience.

Shocking inept mismanagement from those in charge.

1. 100% on Manning, that. Just so casual in the way he knocked it straight back. Quarshie tried desperately to get to it but Manning's pass was straight to McBurnie FFS.

2. Haven't seen another angle to get an idea if Peretz could have done better, but it's all on Downes and Wood who were both marking the same player but both failed to actually challenge for the header. Fucking pathetic defending.

1. Mannings fault entirely - in acres of space but numbnuts programmed to pass backwards, but misplaced the hospital pass to an unsuspecting Quarshie.

2. Keeper was impeded getting to the ball and by then there was no CB properly positioned to challenge the striker.

Terrible, just terrible. We've become so easy to beat. Given the lack of communication from the owners and the board, my only explanation for this horror show is that they've lost interest. I'm hoping that means they're planning to sell up and that we're still in this league when they do. Anything else means they are so clueless they still believe we can go up this year. Sad times.

Was there any chants against SR at the end of there game? Could hear some chanting after but Adam and Jo were talking over it so I couldn't tell if it was us or the Hull fans celebrating.

We had more shots and better chances and still lost - very depressing. Not sure who to blame really, I feel like we should have won that.

40 goals conceded gives us the joint second worst defence in the division.

So many defensive players who are "fine for this league" as well.

I don't blame the manager - he's just as ineffective as his predecessors. The rot set in long before he came here.

Should've nuked the site from space in the summer and rebuilt from scratch. Losers permeate every nook and cranny of the club. Until they're gone, there's no hope of moving forwards.

Yep, that's my verdict too. Complete crap from those 3 all day. Downes is so completely predictable, always passes it backwards even if that puts a defender in the shit and he has no-one around him, he seems to have no awareness or ability to turn on the ball. Manning wandering all over the pitch in the second half, what the f*** is up with that, he just pushes Leo to hug the touchline when if anyone should be on the ball with a free role it's Leo. Wood seems to have zero presence in the box on crosses and corners.

No idea what's going on at the club but it's obvious there's a ton of shit attitude and those 3 + Stephens & Armstrong would be my best guess. Fits with what Alfie House said about needing a clear out too. Cancerous.

Not sure when the last time we went 7 games without a win at this level but it was a very very long time ago. Possibly under the Dutch duo, but i am even doubting that

In contrast, I'm very sure I know when we'll next go 8 games without a win!

Just to spread the shit a little further, Armstrong was completely anonymous today, no presence, no threat, no effort to get the team going when we went behind, inspiration factor a big fat zero. Why the f*** is he captain?

I watched that on a feed with no commentary,  so I got to to listen to the crowd.

There really is no atmosphere any more. 4 years of Sports Republic have knocked the shit out of everyone. Could hear a  lot of SR get out of our club, you don't know what you're doing and your not fit to wear the shirt.

Game wise, like most people I really only want to see Fellows and Leo starting. Jander , Charles and Bragg are OK.  Stewart looked a class above in his movement but unfortunately he is made of glass.

I sort of wish we had lost to Leeds so we didn't have to sign Downes and THB.

Bit worried about the keeper on corners, but until we get some defensive coaching  we are fucked.

I feel so detached from the club now.

Complete useless team

Get rid of Tonda by 9pm tonight.
Sell all the players by Monday, 3 can have a fee as have some creative skill the rest are football robots and just get rid of them on a free. Complete useless football and idea how to play the game. Get a new squad in from leaque 1 and proper footballing manager.

Sideways and backwards manager and players OUT.

Time and time again. Not only has this a negative impact on the team, it also just wastes their money. They took over in our relegation season 2022/23 and have continued to invest heavily, but in the wrong areas, and sack a manager who was being worn down by the impact of them not buying a proven striker. This is still a problem over 3 years on. They are still recruiting the incorrect managers and players time and time again and trying to fit them into our idea of playing football, and continues to have a negative impact on the team and the club. You think they would realise they are just peeing their money up the wall. If it was you or I investing you would want advise and surround yourself with people that are experts and well respected in the area of work, so you money was protected as well as it could be. There is always a risk of course, but then there is complete incompetence, which the owners are showing. I just do not understand how you can be so blind and careless with your own money?

They can still make this work if they put a better strategy in place, strip the set up top to bottom in the summer, or even now, so it is in place for the 26/27 season. Parachute payments, hopeful scrap enough to stay up, or start again in league one. If we get it right (they get it right) we should have it spot on next season.

I cannot see the above happening, we will continue with the cycle, rinse and repeat until we keep falling and SR clear off. They have the money to make this a success, but they do not have the foresight to execute it!

Not good enough today. So infuriating. Why go back to a back five today. We looked so much better in a back four. That is on the manager.

Tonda has got to go, I'd have RM over this bloke any day

First thing they need to do is identify the bad apples in the changing room and get rid of them.

Predictable that we would concede whilst pissing around at the back and from a corner giving a free header in the 6 yard box without a player near him.

Fellows was the only player doing anything and he subbed him.  That’s when I left.

Eckert is fucking shit and should be sacked.  5 at the back and plodding around like a load of old men.

Sports Republic, please fuck off.

They spend money, and everytime make us worse.

What is their net spend? Not very much I suspect.

As bad as it gets.

Lucky we had the new manager bounce, or we’d be absolutely nailed on for another relegation.

With the points we have already, we should be lucky enough to avoid it.

just listening to radio solent apparently eckert has been missing regarding a post game analysis, he’s “missing”/ “nowhere to be seen”. i’m hoping the board has called him up and he’s been sacked

So what will Ekhert do….????

I do know….

He will give the team 3 days off!!!!!!

It won't make any difference, three days "coaching"   v three days off. We'll still be utter garbage and lose.

Yes strip out ‘top to bottom’ as mentioned. Start again with proper management in place. Keep it simple and do not over complicate. Get rid of the old ideals as that kinda football has moved on. Blank bit of paper.

Here in Carlisle they are still trying to get rid of the deadwood a year after the owners realising they were being taken as mugs by some football people. They now stay out of the footballing side of things. Might go up this season, but think they will be spot on next season.

The thing is they realised their mistakes, but will SR?

Done a Reggie Perrin/John Stonehouse, stripped off and faked his own disappearance into the River Itchen.

So we're back to clearing out the bad apples, eh? Change the f-ing record, we've been trimming dead wood from the squad now for about five years.

You can deny it all you like but the bad apples are there. and keeping them will not end well. Time for some tough decisions to be made for the sake of the football club.

Football is supposed to be atleast a tiny bit enjoyable, watching us return to the ponderous boring football again after a promising few weeks is fucking depressing.

The last 20 mins today after we got back into the game sums us up, a bit of enthusiastic promise and end up with same old shit.

It’s not just ponderous and horrific to watch, it makes teams wide open. Example A from today below of what passing around the back is for losers
