obelisk Posted Saturday at 15:52 Posted Saturday at 15:52 This time it's Leicester's turn to stage a 2nd half come back then.
Sheaf Saint Posted Saturday at 15:52 Posted Saturday at 15:52 Well at least we haven't gifted them a 3-0 lead this time. Bragg and Matsuki looking decent, and good to see Edozie getting involved well and winning the penalty. I would suggest hooking Archer at HT cos he's been hopeless again, but I doubt Larin can play a full 90 yet so I expect he will be subbed first. 1

Disco Stu Posted Saturday at 15:54 Posted Saturday at 15:54 It's had the feel of a pre-season friendly which is understandable given the number of changes. The lower intensity has allowed Romeu to boss the midfield though. Archer isn't taking his opportunity unfortunately. 2
goodymatt Posted Saturday at 15:54 Posted Saturday at 15:54 (edited) Wasn’t a particularly convincing performance but another example of how fragile Leicester are. Mavididi and Ayew looked the most dangerous that half. When they nearly scored and Manning did an amazing goal line clearance, it all came from Quarshie charging over to RB, Jelert was signalling for him to take the runner but he just kept going and they really should have punished us. Wasn't sure if Larin put enough pace on it but in the end it was perfect placement. Happy to be leading at HT with a scratch side. Edited Saturday at 15:56 by goodymatt
whelk Posted Saturday at 15:55 Posted Saturday at 15:55 McGoldrick scores again - his 600th league appearance! 2

Holmes_and_Watson Posted Saturday at 15:57 Posted Saturday at 15:57 One up with our only effort on target = clinical. 🙂 Positives:- Long made a good stop with his leg. Manning cleared a certain goal onto the bar and away. Edozie has looked positive, and did well before also getting us the penalty. Larin gives us that target, and has been involved. Matsuki also looking positive, with Jelert, Brag and Romeu getting good moments. Romeu got into things as the half went on. Quarshie had some good forward passes early on. Although done by Sure once, he did get at least one good tackle in too. Leicester had a lot of the ball in our third, but we did okay. Especially with 10 changes. Tonda has used a lot of these players, so not too many should be really rusty. With the team we put out, can't be anything but pleased with that. 1
SNSUN Posted Saturday at 15:58 Posted Saturday at 15:58 Obvs I'm not watching the game but praise for Edozie from those watching pleases me. He always had talent, I'm not sure what was going on with him under Still but it seems he's back and he'll be like a new signing if he keeps it up. Shame he has Scienza as his rival for the spot although he can play on the right too. 1

Harry_SFC Posted Saturday at 15:59 Posted Saturday at 15:59 Romeu looking a bit more up to speed. Has made some good interceptions. Still a bit slow though but given his age there's nothing he can do about that. 1

Archer just runs around and when ever he gets near the ball he's not strong enough to do anything

benjii Posted Saturday at 16:04 Posted Saturday at 16:04 Good to see Romeu getting into the game as the half went on. Looked off at first but grew into it. He's a way off challenging the first XI but could still be useful to have for the run in.
Thereisonlyonemickychannon Posted Saturday at 16:06 Posted Saturday at 16:06 Oriol Romeuo....oh we love u
SNSUN Posted Saturday at 16:07 Posted Saturday at 16:07 Simon Thomas on SSN has mentioned Tuesday's result at least 4 times now. Loving it.

AlexLaw76 Posted Saturday at 16:08 Posted Saturday at 16:08 If Pompey dont go down (and pretty sure they wont), Leicester is a great alternative. 3

Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 16:12 Posted Saturday at 16:12 That was shite defending to be fair and Long was weak. We’ll pay the price for pissing around a bit too much.

obelisk Posted Saturday at 16:13 Posted Saturday at 16:13 Nobody near Skipp and he has the time to score with an overhead kick. 1-1 and the comeback is on.
trousers Posted Saturday at 16:13 Posted Saturday at 16:13 (edited) Good job Long will never get anywhere near the first team... A bit like the other new 7th tier fella never will I guess... Edited Saturday at 16:14 by trousers 2
Saint Fan CaM Posted Saturday at 16:13 Posted Saturday at 16:13 Got to get Archer off - he’s passed to a Leicester player more than his own team.
obelisk Posted Saturday at 16:14 Posted Saturday at 16:14 Archer has plenty of room to get control of the ball and he loses it. Time to get him off.
