I thought everyone played their part with special mention for the back four and GK. They had loads of the ball and we didn't panic and were on it all game. Lovely. Superb all round wasn't it, enjoyed a few post match beers , everyone in excellent spirits enjoying themselves on cup away days, cant beat it, thought Saints were excellent today , so so many chances we deserved that at the end , players were absolutely buzzing coming over to away fans at the end 16

Yellows are competition specific these days. 2 yellows for teams that entered in the 3rd round means a ban. Probably taking the hit now, for the home game against Port Vale, so they aren’t at risk for our Wembley games. 1

Cabrone Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Bottle that performance and bring it out for all our remaining games and we'll be well set for a prem return. No doubt Fulham would have wanted to win which makes it all the more impressive. 5
gandalf Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Thanks to all who went today and for providing the great sound that drowned the commentary at times. 2
saintstowin Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) I just watched the end back including two of the worst non free kick awards I've seen. From a distance at the game I thought they were bad. On 97 mins in the corner Azaz gets shoved over and then Edozie literally thrown over! If they'd scored from that.... I thought the ref didn't give us much. I also think that chant is terrible ('you're just a .... with a whistle'), I'm more of a 'the referee's a ......' or even better a simple 'you don't know what you're doing'. Probably my age but it's not a good thing to hear sung with such volume. Edited 11 hours ago by saintstowin 4 1

SouthWalesSaints Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Top performance, everyone from 1-16 was incredible. Deserved to progress, I’m sure the boys will be bouncing into training and ready for West Brom. Assume Matsuki, Charles, Stewart, Stephens will come in for Fellows, Jander, Larin & Wood. All of whom as I previously mentioned had good games. Should keep us relatively fresh for weds. Only downside is that Ipswich and Wrexham games being postponed, any idea when we’ll find out about that and if it’ll be one or both. my guess is we’ll take the Friday night slot in place of Wrexham therefore allowing skys coverage of Ipswich to go ahead. Wouldn’t be the worst thing to kick that can down the road.
dsrdorset Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Just back from the game, absolutely brilliant day out!!!!! Fantastic effort from the lads, and us fans!! 😁 Proud of my team tonight COYS 8

sadoldgit Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Delighted that Tonda put out a strong side today. Call me old fashioned but I think it is highly disrespectful to both the fans and to the competition to put out a weakened side, no matter what the circumstances. We should be pushing to get as far as we can in the cup as well as aiming for the play offs. Winning becomes a habit. Today’s result will give the whole club a lift and provide positive vibes for the forthcoming league matches. 4
lambtiss Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Cracking penalty from Ross. He exuded confidence before he struck the ball. None of this Panenka nonsense. 4

That is technically the 37th gameweek, after which the 10 yellow card suspension rule get reset. Downes would appear the more likely if TE considers him essential for Coventry on Saturday, but Bree is now probably equally, perhaps more important. Edited 9 hours ago by markr27

I think its up to and including the team's 37th game, not gameweek. I hope you're right obviously. Managing Downes and Bree for 2 games is a bit of a problem.

Technically it's not Saints' fault for being one game behind, how dare the Club still be eligible to have played in the FA Cup today! Edited 9 hours ago by markr27

Sir Ralph Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Starting to feel like we have a team again. Ever since we went to a back 4 with a back man up top we’ve improved. The players seem to have more confidence and fight. With Peretz, Bree, THB and Downes all playing well we have a strong base of a team and we seem to have kicked out the errors in the main. Thoroughly enjoyable day out. This is why we watch football. Now looking forward to the end of what could be an exciting season. Edited 5 hours ago by Sir Ralph

Wouldn’t be the worst thing to kick that can down the road. The issue is the Friday is just after the international break, if we draw a Prem team they'll absolutely certainly be against having a game that early due to the amount of players that would be away. If we get Port Vale they may play it on the Friday, depends on the broadcasters. So I think both games will get moved. The Wrexham game will probably just move to the Tuesday or Wednesday afterwards instead of Monday, and then Ipswich at home the following midweek. That would leave us with one more free midweek if we somehow do make it to the semi finals where the Blackburn home game would move. Once the draw is made tomorrow, the full schedule is usually announced by the end of the week, Thursday or Friday. Once that is known the EFL will announce the confirmed rearrangement dates, hopefully ASAP but could be Monday next week. I'm guessing, they might announce it earlier. SNSUN Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago It "seems" a bit hypocritical to blame Silva for putting out a weakened team today when we did the same in the last round, but the difference is Fulham did it against a team bang in form and we did it against one of the worst, most out of form teams in Leicester. Is it brave or disrespectful to the competition? It depends on the result. We got through last round, Fulham didn't. Especially when they had zip all to do this season otherwise. I was at Craven Cottage for our win in the FA Cup in 2018. They fielded a weakened team that say too. Bednarek's debut i think. Obviously I'd want Port Vale in the next round but if not I'd rather face a big 6 team and just see where we are against one of them. No shame if we go out, blaze of glory if we win!
Micky Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Craig Burley ranting about Fulham resting players today, I warn you we do not get a mention...!
austsaint Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 11 hours ago, kitch said: Superb performance from everyone there. Jander and Fellows slightly off it, but not through lack of trying. Peretz, Downes, Larin and Azaz all at the top of their game there, and the fans were the only ones I could hear on the telly. Gutted I couldn't get a ticket. Got to use that as confidence booster, going to a nearly full-strength PL team, away, and coming away with a win. Excellent stuff! I’d add Harwood-Bellis to your list of best players. He is playing and leading like a player who is going to be head hunted by Prem Clubs next season if we don’t go up. Scienza too was dangerous (if a little wasteful) in attack, and he’s another who middle to lower Prem sides will surely look at. Mightily impressed by Azaz, especially in the first half. That pass, using the outside of his right foot to send Scienza through on goal was top drawer. Downes once again showed he was written off prematurely by many - he’s right at the top of his game. And Peretz surely convinced the remaining few who believed he wasn’t/isn’t a considerable upgrade on Baz. My only minor complaint with Tonda today was not replacing Fellows with Edozie earlier.
