Am I missing something? Why does it take so long to confirm the dates/times? It's 2 games. We know the teams and the stadium they'll be played at. I reckon I could organise it in less than 5 minutes following the draw and give people a chance of booking train tickets at a semi-reasonable rate...

Man City haven’t decided what is best for them yet

😉👀

Purely hypothetical,  but if we beat City we will have won more games as a Championship team against Premier League opposition this season than we did last season as a Premier League team. Madness, but even if we lose, we're level on wins from last season and it does show the current team can mix it up with the big boys if we go up.

Man Citys original game that weekend has been brought forward to the Wednesday, whilst Chelsea's has moved to the Tuesday.

Might mean we are playing on the Sunday and the Ipswich game is being pushed back a day?

Hmm... Good spot!

I would say those rearranged dates for Chelsea's and Man City's PL matches must surely indicate that they're playing their semi finals on the Saturday and Sunday respectively... What other reason would there be?

So, Sunday it is for us then...

Wasn’t Leeds’ game also moved to the Wednesday?

Yes it is, which might detract from reading too much into it.

Interestingly, all three (Man City, Chelsea, and Leeds) are away from home so might the choice of day for the fixture not be determined by the home club, and possibly Police there ?

Bloody hell no wonder 30,000 odd motorbikes get stolen each year and shoplifters are clearing the shelves daily. Waste of resources.

My bad, not sure why I thought Leeds were playing Tuesday 🫠

If we’re saying a higher police presence is needed for Chelsea v Leeds then it seems logical to do it on the day before the London Marathon, the Saturday - therefore meaning we play City on the Sunday?

Just seems common sense if that’s the case.

Man City were already due to play on the previous Sunday so their game couldn't be rearranged for the Tuesday, they had to play Wednesday.

Sky are broadcasting both fixtures so that's why the Chelsea game automatically went to the Tuesday as they wanted those two games in unique slots.

Is this a guess or fact?

There will be people within the club who will know by now so perhaps thats where these rumours are coming from, the later they leave it I think ticket sales will need to be quite swift to allow time to post (unless Saints go for digital option this time)

The only “rumours” I’ve seen are people positing it on here.

Nick Gregory who runs his own coaches to all away games, says it’s Saturday 5.15pm, I’m sure he has solid contacts at the club

On the Saturday you also have the following London teams at home:

Fulham V Villa; West Ham V Everton; Arsenal v Newcastle; Charlton v Hull; QPR v Derby; Barnet v Gillingham; plus Luton v Barnsley.

Putting us on the Sunday would leave us facing 3 games in 6 days. We would also have to reschedule the Ipswich game to the Wednesday.

Man City and Chelsea have no game for 8 days after Sunday, Leeds have 5 days.

He must be incredibly confident he's right as taking bookings already , getting ahead of the official travel

Or accepts it might be switching to Sunday instead, but he wants to know the current number of customers so he has enough time to prepare.

Tickets £30 up to £150 !!

I'll be interested to see how that breaks down in the different areas of the ground.

I'm susprised we are the Live on BBC 1 choice........maybe they fancy an upset 😉

Its okay though as there's no cost of living crisis and everyone's flush. I despair with how football supporters are exploited.

You reckon? I would’ve thought we would.

Yeah it's a lot of tickets and there's a huge amount of games this month.

I know a few who aren't going and said they're saving money for Preston and play offs.

Absolutely. Also the fact its City doesnt help. Let's be honest, even if many dont want to say it, the chances of beating them are extremely slim. So if you're a family and end up with the more expensive end of the tickets its going to be expensive. For the 3 of us, including travel, as Im a few hundred miles away, it could be a £700 day out. That's ridiculous for a game that is on TV and at a stupid time.

Saturday suits Junior Tamesaint who is running in the London Marathon on the Sunday for the MS Society (if interested I csn send a link to his Just Giving page). If it had been on the sunday he would have had to have run bloody quickly. 😁

Yeah reckon a fair few will just assume no chance of winning and make it easier for them not to bother.

Similar with Chelsea really, which turned out to be true!

I can't see many of the 25,000 saints fans who went to the Arsenal match giving up and not bothering with Man City.

That still leaves 11,000 empty to seats to fill if we do end up getting the 36k that’s been mentioned on here a few times.

Or people who've already committed to Preston and can't really afford to do both?

I know some fans share my concerns about the fixture pile, the lack of recovery time could severely impact our push to return the the English Premier Soccerball League as we have that all important tie on the tuesday night as we aim to finish 4th.

I think they'd probably sack off Preston...

We took 55k to Wembley for the JPT...I can't imagine we'd struggle to sell 35,000 for this...

No the ones who have a lot of day to day expense beyond football and it’s not like we haven’t got a lot of matches in the next few weeks. It wouldn’t be an easy decision to give this a miss but many won’t have that choice unfortunately

That’s fair enough if a financial choice but to not go because think we will lose is not what its about
