If Will Still had still been manager during Spygate he would have just re-loaded the game back to before it happened.

'Spygate 2' hearing taking place TODAY

The Independent Disciplinary Commission hearing into 'Spygate 2' is taking place on Tuesday and a decision is expected within 24 hours.

Southampton are waiting to know for sure if they'll be playing in the Championship play-off final against Hull, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday at Wembley, live on Sky Sports with a 4.30pm kick-off

Bit fucking late if that’s the case…

Prediction:

we’ll be on Page 137.

And speculation will be rife as to what time on Wednesday there will be an announcement, and the outcome

Surely the later they leave it the more of a ball-ache re-arranging the final will be?

I think no news is good news.

I think the fact they've left it this long is probably not the worst sign. May be clutching at straws though.

Source? I mean we're obviously guilty but if the punishment is in a fortnight then the game goes ahead as planned and expected.

Are they waiting to see what happens Saturday ?

Higher points deduction if we fail to beat Hull

If we get to the premiership bigger fine with delayed lower points deduction when we return to the  Efl ?

I googled if the FA or EFL have the right to obtain such documents and found the following...(FA.com website). Was hoping they could only do so in a criminal case...

Yes, the Football Association (FA) and the English Football League (EFL) have the authority to compel clubs, players, and officials to produce texts, emails, and other personal messages (e.g., WhatsApp) during investigations. This power is derived from the binding rules and regulations that participants agree to upon registering or signing contracts within English football.

Premier league this is not rugby or Scotland or England prior to 2007

Sorry one of those small things that irritate me far to much than it should.

I'm thinking just before the kick off when saints have been kicked out. You hear a glass smash, the Stone Cold music and Dragan strides to the centre circle with the high court injunction.

But you did know what I was referring to.

Also wasn't it 2017 ?

I can't believe it is still possible we will get kicked out at this late stage. Imagine the fall-out. Surely the EFL have had the evidence from both sides for days now and will have considered whether there is enough to warrant kicking us out. If they felt there was this would all surely have been expedited with utmost urgency to get a verdict. Instead we've got to Tuesday and all we hear is that a remote meeting is taking place at the moment. Might be way off the mark but this smacks to me that we'll get a substantial fine and maybe a points deduction.

It isn't the EFL that decide though is it.. It's an independent body and we're led to belive they only met today..?

Whatever happens can we all just agree to refer to Middlesbrough as 'Brough' or 'Borough' in future (rather than Boro), as that seems to be one of the things that upsets them more than Spygate.

Just to get this clear. What annoys them more? Brough? Like Frank Bough. Let’s just call them Bough. That might annoy them even more. Hope so. Great to have a new hate club. Spurs and Pompey were old hat.

If they do kick us out no way that Boro are replacing us Saturday, or not at all. We have an appeal process (Swindon didn't appeal) and also the end of season timing will preclude this. Hull will argue that they should be awarded the tie etc.

To be fair to the independent panel, this isn't their concern and they will look at the evidence, rules and previous cases to come to their decision.

If we 'win', I think it very unlikely that the EFL appeal the verdict before the game, although they'd reserve their position if we won depending on what facts have transpired.

But would the EFL have already seen all the evidence from both sides which is my point. If so maybe they've made an educated assumption that kicking us out will not be on the table.

How about we shorten it to "BRA"?

It not only sounds the same, but it does cover a load of tits!

If Boro's officials, fans and media hadn't gone into such a frenzied and unhinged meltdown over a bloke, a tree and an iPhone, would this have been viewed any worse than an ungentlemanly 'misdemeanour' ? It's not even a specific rule in other leagues and, despite looking poor for any club which is found guilty, it's hardly the crime of the century.

That said, it would appear Hellberg's tears and the rest of the OTT response from Teesside has worked in that it's left many folk (Saints fans included) thinking the 'offence' is up there with poisoning the opponent's matchday breakfast and fearing eyewatering punishments as a result

Time will tell, I guess.

Probably a SaintsExtra post at 6pm to announce that the enquiry took place today, no decision has been made, and a decision is expected tomorrow.

Insightful stuff.

Some good points and this is why I still think there is something in the honeytrap theory. The OTT faux outrage from Boro has been astounding in my view. It is not in keeping with what we are led to believe happened unless there is far more to it that has not come out yet. They have stoked up an absolute frenzy of bile and hatred towards us which doesn't seem in keeping with the alleged offence ie a young intern standing in plain site with a fucking phone camera to his eye spying on players training about 200 yards away.
