Do you have him on standby. Ok with the strongest underneath the other 2. Better?

So is anyone going to watch the final. I’m not, but will probably be back by kick off. Might watch the Scottish final, but cannot stand watching Celtic win another trophy. Looking forward to watching Bolton v Stockport and Salford v County though. But I do love my lower and non league footy!

My cousins husband works at a championship club, and is fairly influential.

trying to get info out of him has been hard but he did tell me yesterday that it is well known in the league that Saints are pretty full on with the peeping into other teams training, regularly breaching the 72 hour rule. He said that other teams in the league would put additional measures in place in the build up to playing Saints, such as dummy training drills etc.

also said that other clubs have caught us out but no photographic or video proof, hence why “they won’t get involved”. Also, clubs are careful not to go in too hard publicly as football changes quickly.

Last things he said is that we have been the biggest advocates of fairness and fair play at various EFL meetings, very high horse type of stuff, which has allowed others to find our current situation both amusing and predictable.

Just a thanks for that post. It gives us a lot more about what's been going on.

How or why on earth would anyone actually watch it? Surely radio silence until full time, check score then either watch highlights and laugh if hull won or simply pretend it never happened of the lot won.

Would this press-led vitriol have been the same if it were a bigger club like Aston Villa?

As I've posted before we're big enough for people to take notice but small/localised enough for most not to care, so in essence probably not.

Your fault for being in Greggs. I get into Waterloo around 4pm...so they shouldn't be any boro fans around at the time. Just later tonight I hope to see them in the hundreds, all dejected! :D

Not that I'd encourage it, but he used to have a LinkedIn page (by all accounts) so whoever knows how to get hold of old versions of webpages ought to be able to dig that up...

The information I’ve seen is 100% true and is from a former senior high court Judge via a friend who is a KC and Judge. It clearly wouldn’t make us any friends though!

Any more to share on this? Or was it just a case of after work beers in the sun getting to your head?

If you have any info to share, firstly share it with the club. Secondly, why would you not share it on here (we might be more competent than the legal clown the club pay…)

Whilst they won't admit it, it must feel so hollow for Boro being at Wembley today. Whilst I'd love to be promoted I'd hate it if the circumstances were reversed.

I really doubt this assertion. Boro will be content and even more so when they win this afternoon. Hull aren't at all good and shouldn't be anywhere near accession the Premier League.

If Gibbo had sent someone to check us out in the same circumstances I wouldn’t have given a toss. As Eckert said, the game is all about what happens between 22 players on the pitch when it comes down to it.

Makes you wonder why the best clubs in the world have £100m training facilities really. Why not just save the money, buy all the lads a PureGym membership and get them to turn up with their boots on a match day.

As said earlier, it is all a bit hollow for Middlesbrough today. They haven’t made the final through merit, they are there through a courtroom. Hardly a great sporting achievement!

You can try and tell them that as they celebrate promotion back to the PL if you like.

Apart from entrapment, you mean.

Knowing we were going to cheat is not entrapment. If we had an email inviting some of our back room staff up too Teeside for tea, biscuits and a guided tour of their facilities, where we were invited to watch them train and take photos if we liked, with everything else that subsequently happened, then we’d have an argument.

Try not to wear any of your best footwear. Wouldn't want to see them damaged from the floods of tears (hopefully).

Eurgh. Supposed to be at Beer Merchants now, sipping ill-advised pre-match imperial stouts at their Omnipollo takeover.

Thankfully managed to get a few online, so today's not entirely fueled by FOMO.

Enjoy the sunshine and don't get sucked into doom scrolling, folks. ✌️

My friend just said 3 upwards. With the strongest on the bottom.

“Strongest on the bottom”….easily remedied with lashings of lubricant.
Allegedly. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just wondering  what sorts of  litigation and  FA / EFL action we might still be open to.

I imagine that anybody and everybody who thinks they might have a claim is looking at the possibilities.

Classic dirty northern wankers. Probably what Middlesbrough high street looks like, so just trying to make themselves feel at home.

I don't understand this obsession with clubs from the north east hanging around Trafalgar Square the day before a big game. London has so many great boozers, and if you really want to drink outside, Hyde Park is perfect.

Just a bizarre lot in general.

I'd be content, but I certainly don't think I'd feel the same as I did when we beat Leeds a couple of years ago. They'll know deep down it's underserved. Shame for them really.

Underserved ? I really, really doubt that they see it that way. They are no doubt convinced, rightly or wrongly, that we've been "cheating" at least since the turn of the year and that we've gotten the come uppance we deserve .

They might feel aggrieved, probably wrongly, that there was no VAR in the return leg which would probably have awarded them 2 penaltys and Matsuiki sent off.

Their fans won’t give a flying fuck, or feel hollow about anything. In their eyes they’ve been wronged and if they win it be “justice is served”.

So the Hull team bus has been smashed on its way to the hotel. Of course, according to Karen FC it’s Southampton fans on some sort of conspiracy to get them fined.

Are this lot okay? Absolute creatures.

Cretins, the lot of them. Used to know a Middlesbrough fan. Went into his back garden. Dog shit everywhere, hadn't picked up any of it. Dirty wankers.

Let’s hope Boro have worked on their fitness levels. With it being 30 degrees today and a big Wembley pitch they will be blowing out of their asses after  10 minutes

This is one thing I am clinging on to. I think if Hull can keep them quiet in the first Half they will be there for the taking in the 2nd, even if they are 1 down.

Probably be cooling breaks, like that's real football. English football season used to end start of May until they started with the endless international breaks.

Oh and let’s hope they have not. They were given a few days off. I really do not think they thought they were going to be reinstated you know.
