He's a very good signing for Boro though, was excellent at Bristol City last season

Yep. They’ve addressed their 2 biggest weaknesses GK and Striker. If they can continue to create as many chances as they did in the back end of last season they are going to be right up there

It's the Saudi investment that Simon Jordan linked with us last summer.

This guy seems to just pretend to buy clubs. Rumoured interest with Saints, then strung Bristol City and Derby along since. One to avoid.

He's hardly a chancer is he as shown by his involvement in multiple sports.

Yeah I'd have liked Vitek had we not managed to sign Peretz permanently. I'm less sure about Lankshear but overall they'll be up there.

Speaks too publicly and doesn’t follow through in his football examples. Clearly very wealthy and successful, so not a chancer. Just a time waster when it come to buying football clubs, so far.

They’ve also signed the CB Phillips from Spurs for £7m. Must admit I hadn’t heard much about him but he was mentioned by a few on here.

Middlesborough appear to have spent quite well from the sale of Hackney, and their unexpected windfall from Rogers. Am hoping we do the same from the sale of Charles (on a MF and CF), unless of course we’ve already partly spent it on Peretz and Larin.

So frustrating that the likes of Chelsea and City hoover up these kids early from other clubs.

This lad seems to have a lot of potential. Solid loan for Burnley.

Fully agree, before the oil/state money funded these academy hoovers he would have been coming through at Saints. Sad times.

Premier League interest is surprising.

Cheap midfield cover, still a reasonable age, had a decent season when we went up. Depends if he's over his injury but he'd be reasonable midfield cover for one of the smaller Prem teams and someone that can perform in the Championship pending relegation. I still think he'll likely go to a Championship club though.

It feels like good value, sensible from Wolves - the manager gamble aside Wolves seem to be making sensible decisions this summer. I can see why Wolves may be ahead of us in the queue for him too so fair enough really. Hopefully Spors can find somebody else more Jander than Downs.

Must have been parent company that was insolvent leading to administration and -10 . A building company ?

Lowe tried to say the club was solvent while the parent company was insolvent and therefore the -10 penalty didn’t apply. The trouble was they were intrinsically linked.

The ruddy cheeked bastard knew that was total bullshit. He just spouted that crap to disguise the fact that he maliciously took us into administration days after the deadline for the -10 point penalty to carry over to the next season if we went down without it.

This article mentions Saints. But its doesnt look straightforward with Sheffield United and the moving of shares to one of ge companies involved. It could be another City issue where its not clear but so dont bother with any points and turn a blind eye..

Though not a direct comparison, in 2009 Southampton were docked 10 points by the EFL after their parent company went into administration and the football club claimed there was not a financial link between the two.

Because they add "Fuck off West Brom, we're Wolves" to the song, it's being removed for "mass offensive chanting".

The fucking state of the world now.
