Going to be a tough one for us as they are a boogie team.

They will also be fresh from a week off.

We need to stick to the same team and tweak it on how Bristol City play. (Fellows/Matsuki & Bree/Abbott)

Well then hopefully they will be too busy shaking their hips and doing the funky chicken, and will leave plenty of room on the dancefloor for Leo to waltz through their defence.

Then we just need to get the Northam faithful to resurrect a classic old chant from the 80s...

Stick with the same starting 11. Make sure transition is as fast as the 1st half against Swansea and all will be well.

Bring in shoehorn, mess about with the attacking line up and all will be broken.

Would be amazed if they are so open to the counter like Swansea.

Heard that quite a bit 2010-16 when home victories became very frequent occurrences from the Northam. 

Bristol City is a bogey that we need to pick. Visually, as a bogey, it would have a hard yellow crust and be really thick, long and stringy when picked.

But let’s pick it anyway at last and wipe it on the wall.

I'd probably start Matsuki but otherwise no changes.

We need to get Abbott in at right centre back at some point but that can wait until after the break.

Bristol City seem to love playing us, especially when they get to end a notable run of results for us (no home league defeats in 8 months) 

They have played two games this month, winning both away to Burnley and Preston, if they hadnt had their game at home to Lincoln postponed last night I think they'd be top of the league now. 

Dom Ballard will score. 

3000 away fans should make it a good atmosphere, now Yates has closed official away pub is the Church across the road from Mayflower theatre 

Hopefully limited changes for Saints , try to keep a settled side and build up some momentum

Around this point of last season we were getting ready to play the skates. We were a disjointed mess, and after narrowly winning our first game were in the middle of what would turn out to be a run of six matches without a victory. 

The first XI we put out against the skates in mid September last year was: 

Bazunu; Roerslev, Stephens, THB, Manning; Downes, Charles; Fellows, Azaz, Fraser; Archer - managed by Still. 

The likely first XI we'll put out against Bristol City on Saturday is: 

Peretz; Bree, Wood, Schlotterbeck, Manning; Downes, JWP; Fellows, Azaz, Scienza; Larin - managed by Tonda. 

Looking at those two line-ups there's a valid argument that we are the same or stronger in literally every position, including manager, than we were when we were fresh out of the Premier League. (People may argue about Charles vs. JWP but personally I'd have them on a level. I also don't think there's any drop-off between THB and Schlotterbeck, who has been outstanding so far). That's no mean feat. 

We're still going to have the odd blip like all teams, but we really have come a long way in a year. 

I think we'll win on Saturday and I'm starting to genuinely feel like we're going to compete for the automatics, now the -4 is a distant memory and the team is starting to find its rhythm, especially at home. 

4-1 win, followed by a win at Wrexham and going into the break with the top two looking over their shoulders.

Scineza, Jander and Stewart on the bench, with us thumping it up to Archer, Fraser in ahead of Scienza, Bree farmed out on loan somewhere. Terrible wasnt it. Still was so bad.

Nah, not irrelevant at all. 

Roerslev -> Bree

Fraser -> Scienza

Archer -> Larin

...are all massive upgrades, and Still -> Tonda is probably the most important of all, because Still was so tactically inept he could have had the best squad in the world and he wouldn't have had a clue how to use it.

Man, these little buggers have caused us so much shit over the years. Can think of some massive games where they showed up and ruined the party. 

Please lets exercise the demons this weekend. Show us things have changed. 

As for Dom. Yeah, we know we fucked up letting him go. After the weekend I will be wishing him all the best. He's a good lad.

We’re going to have to be really really on it to beat these, and not only because they always seem to do a number on us. They’ve won 3 on the spin, a draw at St Andrews before that, with their only defeat being on the opening day against Millwall who obviously started like a train. They seem to be clicking and will fancy their chances, especially with a whole week to prepare. 
 

The bit I’m holding onto is that they’re also leaky at the back and without a clean sheet all season, I’d be shocked if either side picks one up here. Maybe an end to end game will suit us as it did last night and we’ll come out on the right end of a 3-2 or something similar. Think this one could go either way

Same team, same strategy , but make sure Scienza is protected. Otherwise they'll just kick him in the first ten minutes like every other team tries to do.

Maybe even start with Edozie, take the sting out of them, before bringing on Scienza.

Ballard has been on the bench and hopefully stays there. I'd hate it if he scores.

Yeah i think people need to be realistic on Saturday, Bristol City could field their u18 girls XI they would still manage to get a result against us, its just the way it is
