Watford 2 - 2 Saints: Post Match Reaction.

One point is crucial. Although not ideal, we're only 3 points from safety as both Norwich and Forest are 1 ans 2 ahead respectably. As long as we do better than both in the run in by a win, then we can stay up...slim, but possible- if only we can get a home win soon!!- our away form will get us a few more points!

Shame Euell missed a sitter and then Watford score straight after. Point is not really enough, but it could keep us up. As long as the 10points are not taken, then after tonight we are still in with a shout.

10 points or not, finishing above the drop zone will at least mean there is no deduction next season.

A point is ok but not really enough in our position.

Sounds like we need to work on defending

set pieces according to radio solent.

To be fair, we've been needing to do that since the mid 80s!

Given that our track record against Watford over the last few years has been shocking, ordinarily I would take that result. But I don't think it will be enough in the long run. We need wins, and to get only a point from two games against lower opposition in the space of 3 days is not enough.

We only have to do better than Norwich if we can beat forest on the last day.

Got it all to do on Friday now. Still Argyle dit it, why shouldn't we? I have every confidence if we can get some strikers striking, after all we have Saeijs scoring now - who's next to step up to the plate?

After we were 2-1 down I'd settle for the point, but really it is probably not going to be enough, as this was our game in hand and would have put us level with Norwich had we won.

Having listened to the match on Solent, it seems that although we played much better than on Saturday, we suffered from some rather strange decisions from Wotte. The most incomprehensible according to Merrington being Smith a left footed player out on the right and B-WP a right footed player out on the left. Merrington urged Wotte to at least swap them around from time to time just to try something different, but it didn't happen at all. Weird. Then when it came to the substitutions, Merrington was amazed that B-WP went off and not Smith, who he thought had not earned his corn. He wondered why Wotte did not try Surman on the left and B-WP on the right.

Size was stupendous for his goals, especially the free kick, which was of unexpected quality, but which of the two CBs was responsible for allowing Priskin a free header? One of them should have been marking him and if that was Size's responsibility, then it removes some of the gloss of his performance. Again, Size had a handful of somebody's shirt and risked another penalty. Surely he should have learned his lesson from Saturday. There was a bad miss from Euell that could have won it for us had he not bottled it, but equally there was a worse miss from Rose that could have won it for Watford. Davies came under fire for being beaten at his near post, albeit from a narrow angle, but Merrington reckoned that when he watched it again, Davies would be disappointed. However, Davies' season has been immense and so it's unfair to lay much blame at his door. I continue to wonder what the point of Wotton is.

Merrington was calling for a poll on whether Wotte should remain next season. If he keeps us up from here, then he will have earned it. But personally I don't think that he's up to it, although better than Poortvliet.

Anyone but Surman!!!!

He has all chuffin season to step up to the plate and has come up short, with the experience that he has v many in the team and the amount of sunshine he has had blown up his backside he should be banging on the door of the captains armband by now.

I am very disappointed he did not step aside for a player who had the midas touch tonight by comparison.

Well we are still in the mix.

F*cking awesome. SIZE! Absolute beast of a free-kick. Davis at fault for their first, really should've saved it. James is what we need in midfield, not scared to tackle, a liability at RB though, got raped by McAnuff. We were quite lucky not to go 3-1 down but a point is far on the balance of play. JPS! F*ck yeah.

Euell really needs to learn how to finish. Had a couple of wonderful chances.
