Pompey Takeover Saga

Perhaps Rovers can join in the action with the relegated PL clubs. These clubs are citing the AFC Wimbledon points deduction this season and comparing it to the lack of points deductions for Sunderland.

Spoke to a Wimbledon fan who said he had been told as far back as last season that it was a case of when and not if the club were done over for fielding ineligible players - their admin is diabolical.

Everyone with a brain knows he will stay with us all summer............

Because he'll get the Barca job by Christmas

As their fortunes improve I suspect it will not be such fun knowing they have got away with real penalties. Whilst I do t expect them to get back to the PL or. Championship quickly they shouldn't be alive to have the chance

No chance whatsoever of them getting anywhere with current ownership. They might get out of League Two but that will be it.

Don't worry, they can always do a rights issue to raise capital.. What do you mean, 'they aren't that sort of share'??

lol they want merson as a coach. the man can barely speak.

also, current player berated for a photo with england's lallana, but merson is fine despite being good friends with matt le tissier.

Maybe he was a guest at the 'gala' dinner to dish out some financial advice?

But they're only about half a percent away from being under new ownership.

Magical 25% hutch, keep up, besides, they'd still be fan owned, just a consortium of wealthy fans and all.

Thats right, they will be owned by the most committed, keenest and most passionate bunch of asset strippers in all the land

Where the F^CK is the justice that a good honest club like Bristol Rovers of great tradition go out, when a cheating c***** of a f*uck*arse club like PORTSC*UNT survive after walking away from literally millions of pounds of debt.

Not their fault, it was their owners. Apparently. You know, the ones who were widely praised as upstanding pillars of the football establishment and whose business practices were said to be beyond reproach and an example to us all.

Heroes>Zeroes>Villains now of course

Feck, I didn't see that Rovers were down until now :(

Always liked the gasheads, helped even more when we acquired Lambert off of them.

Oh oh, the scousers have thrown away a 3-0 lead with 10 minutes left. Don't they realise Cheats FC desperately need the million pound bonus money for them finishing first?

That 3 points we took off Liverpool at Anfield is starting to look very costly for the Skates.

Seems like Palace fans are getting a lot of praise. Gary Neville even saying it's the best he's ever seen. Does that make them the bestest fans in the world for the next 10 years now. Even if they go quiet, kick off and don't turn up? I mean, that's how it works right?

It would have to be, they nearly got 18 points when in non-League one season for the international clearance issue having signed a "retired" player from Cardiff within a couple of seasons of his "retirement". To get done again is VERY careless.

You have to remember that £1million in Portsea can be forced down to loose change (less expenses) via two admins, so it's no great loss.

Though I would agree that we need to create some myth around it...

I'm sure we can cobble together some vague link between our away win at Anfield and pompey losing a potential fortune - that'll be three points they gave us for a big discount on cranes for the docks, chuck in some imaginary industrial action because of Liverpool getting funding for cruise ship facilities and we are nearly there!

As a Skate/Liverpool-related aside, please tell me that Glen Johnson isn't England's right back? :scared: - last night he played his way right off the plane, through the terminal, the gift shops, the long term parking, and into a donkey sanctuary in Devon - he would be third choice at SMS - possibly fourth if Guly could cover back.

JWP has covered admirably at RB for us so think that would make GJ 5th choice

That's contradictory to the elegant prose of the Villa supported that writes for the local rag.....

Who's most likely to be correct though, I'd put my money on Mackrill

At least Mackrill's up front about which club he supports, plus his mangled prose makes more sense than that published in Pompey Pravda by the Bard of Fatpipes

I thought they had to be over 18 to be a shareholder?

If that is the case, then surely a 'Junior (under 17) (trust shareholder)' can't exist, whether early bird or full price.....

There is no statutory provision prohibiting a child from owning shares. At common law a child will not be bound by a contract to buy shares as they are not 'necessaries'. Some companies will not accept shareholders under the age of 18 years by provision in their articles or terms of issue.

"How quickly does a month go? They say that a week is a long time in politics, wel this month at Pompey has felt like a lifetime of emotions all rolled up into one!"

The Factless school of hyperbolic emotional drivel journalism and quality proofreading has obviously rubbed off... Now all he needs to master is the one-sentence paragraph.
