Saints V Norwich

Hereford v MK Dons

Leeds V Accrington

Carlisle V Bradford.

Ties to be played week commencing 14th December,i believe.

Pretty chuffed getting Norwich at home in the Semi,i feel we can overcome them in a one off match, would not have been so confident in a home /away scenario.

This is a good draw.I'd rather face MK Dons or Hereford over 2 legs than Norwich so if we can get past Norwich we've got a very good chance of getting to Wembley. At this stage anyone at home is a good draw really.

Good point and well presented.

With Naaarrrwich already up there vying for a promotion spot, will they view this game as a hinderence?

I'm pretty sure AP will be delighted with another home game and will be licking his lips at a possible big day out at Wembley.

I think thats a good draw, more likely to beat them in a one off game at home than over two legs.

Beat Norwich and you have to fancy us over two legs against MK Dons or Hereford.

Absolutely....chances were we had to play them at some stage and better this than a home and away two legged affair.

COYR !!

Without getting carried away, Why should we fear anyone home or away in this league?

Many on here are saying that they wouldn't fancy us away to Norwich. Why not.

On the evidence in recent weeks when high flying MK Dons and Charlton turned up(or not) we made them look what they are..........Average at best!

This side now IS capable of beating anyone including Leeds.

We have a winning mentality now which is something that Pards stated he wanted right from the Hearts game.We also have a team that don't know when they are beaten, L Orient and Torquay being two examples of comebacks recently.

Believe in this team and we WILL be promoted this season.

Stuff the season of consolidation sh1t.

Listen to Pards interviews after the Charlton game.He mentions Wembly appearences, either through the JPT trophy final OR PLAYOFFS

This team BELIEVES that they are capable, so should we...............COYR.

Best draw we could have hoped for in my opinion. As others have already said, this round is one game, whereas the next round is over two legs. Would rather play Norwich just the once, plus being at home is great.

I reckon we'll get a big crowd for this as well.

This is the best draw for us.....we've already shown we can beat mk dons...i'm sure we can handle hereford, worry about that later.

As said above...Norwich over 2 legs could be an open ended contest...wouldn't be so confident of going to wembley with that. However, a single game at home, playing like we are at them moment...we should get through to the 2 legged final...and we should be able to take either of the other teams over 2 legs.

That's alot of 'shoulds'......Can almost smell Wembley now though....we have been given every chance to get there, so let's make sure we take it and get a big crowd for this game.

I hear what your saying, however although playing very well we still only drew with Orient and Torquay and we still have this tendency to always concede goals late in games so you still never know with Saints.Too many times in the past when everyone has been so confident of Saints winning we have ended up disappointed.Although we look like beating everyone at the moment i still get worried about over confidence.

Norwich are in great form... even better than ours, they've won 8 of their last 9 games, and the one they lost in that time was away to Leeds.

Still, i'm feeling confident of getting a result, though I doubt it will be easy by any stretch of the imagination. Hopefully it will be a good game, as you've got us scoring freely (what is it, about a average of 3 goals a game??), and them with only 4 goals conceded in their last 9 games.

Do you remember eveyone who was at that game?

He's just trying to be funny because I was dying in hospital that day and he had to go to the Torquay game on his own.

Oh, look who wants to jump on the JPT bandwagon? Dont remember seeing you at the Torquay game.

Plastic.

Still got my ticket here \o/

I talked to a Swindon supporting mate earlier today, he said that Norwich were absolutely dire in their Johnstone's Paint Trophy match on Tuesday night. Swindon are having a lot of trouble scoring at the moment, but they apparently ought to have won about 6-0. He suggested that our reserves could probably beat Norwich if they played like they did in midweek.

From reading their forums it seem like their manager puts out the reserves for the JPT - if this is the case then we should most certainly beat them

Not at this stage of the competition they won't, next week will give us an idea of what we will be up against.

Doubt it will be on TV this time as there are Premier League fixtures on both the Tuesday and Wednesday evenings that week. I really want to go to the game, but am scheduled to have an operation to have two wisdom teeth removed at four o'clock on the Tuesday afternoon. So the guys had better win for me, as i'll already be in a lot of pain!

The dream Saints-Leeds final has definitely moved a few steps closer this morning!

Last time we beat Norwich in the Cup it was on the way to Cardiff, so why not Wembley this time?!

Norwich home was possibly the best draw for us. Big crowd, more revenue in the coffers for this game, as the Southern Final home leg (hopefully) would be a big crowd even it was Hereford in all likelihood.

Norwich at home good draw, I know they've been on a good run of late, & I watched them win 3-1 at Stockport couple of weeks ago. Whilst that score line sounds convincing, it really wasn't. I was expecting to see a confident & much better team, similar to what I've seen of Saints. I expected them to be full of running & a much bigger goal threat than they turned out to be. In fact they didn't create a single goal, County gifted them all three from poor passes around their own box, and goalkeeper error(similar to Hammonds miss against Charlton but they scored). Other than that no goal threat, I was really surprised how poor they looked. Hope they play like that at St Marys in the league & Cup

BRILLIANT!!!

With my other half being a dirty Canary, we couldn't go to either of the league games this season, due to work commitments (and haven't been able to for the same reason as we've been slipping down the Leagues together...), but we can go to this game! Whoop whoop

And we're at home, which is a big advantage. Great draw for me, on a personal level.

Remember a Cup game against Norwich in the early nineties - first game I took my son to - he was a Liverpool supporter as most young kids were at the time

Managed to get tickets in the stand close to the Directors Box

Saw a lot of the ball because it spent most of the game level with our eyesight!!

Branfoot never understood the concept of FOOTball only LONGball

I think next month's game will be more attractive to watch!

Thankfully my son was not put off and is now a keen Saints fan

Agree it's the best draw we could have hoped for, but the result will by no means be a formality.

Norwich, by all accounts, are up there with us and Leeds as one of the best teams in this League so they will feel they can beat us. It could be a very tight game, but we have no reason not to be confident in our own ability.
