MK Dons home leg moved to 9 Feb

It's not even been moved because it will be on TV.

it's been moved ''incase'' there is a chance it will be chosen for TV

The second leg of the Dons' Johnstone's Paint Trophy area final against Southampton at St Mary's Stadium has been brought forward a week to Tuesday 9th February, kick-off 7.45pm.

The game had been scheduled to take place on Tuesday 16th February, but dates have been adjusted in order to fit potential television schedules should the game be selected for live coverage.

Does anyone else find it incredibly difficult to find ticket news for upcoming matches on the OS these days? You would have thought it would be one of the easiest links to find, but I'm buggered if I can find it now. Anyone help?

At least its clear on the MK Dons site

Does anyone know if restricted General sale will still be on the 18th Jan? Or has this moved too?

Would have been easier if I was a season ticket holder but work commitments says otherwise!

I just called the ticket office and general sale/restricted general sale is on the same dates still.

(not talking to myself, just letting others know!)

I would be inclined to think that another reason for the rearrangement is that we want the 16th Feb free in case we have to play a 5th Round replay, or to rearrange a League game.

At the moment we only have Tues 2nd Feb and Tues 16th Feb free before March, and there's already Swindon to rearrange from Jan 23rd.

If we draw in the FA Cup against Ipswich the free 2nd Feb date will be used for the replay, and should we get past them into 5th Round we will have to reschedule Hartlepool from Feb 13, and also have Wycombe booked on the 23rd Feb which is when a 5th round replay would usually happen.

If we beat MK over 2 legs we'll also have to rearrange Oldham at home (scehduled for the weekend of the JPT Final), which we could slot in on March 2nd if we move the 2nd leg forwards, but if the 2nd leg was on the original date it would be too short notice to do that.

Probably worth someone starting a thread on our fixture congestion ruining our season now...

What a farce - 4 of us going from Nottingham - i've booked 4 hotel rooms on a no refund basis through Expedia for 16 Feb - will the club reimburse me????

Can I suggest you write to the club immediately with full details and perhaps enclosing photoscopies of your booking details. This will be a very good test of the club's fan friendly nature under the new regime - which to date has not shown through one iota.

As much as Lowe was hated, when it came to getting refunds on STs etc. he put his money where his mouth was if any fan was not happy. This is not quite the same, but the club may possibly give you free seats for the game if not hotel costs.

Good luck and let me know how you got on.

Plus rearranging any games that might be postponed by bad weather, certainly not impossible.

Email them, say you dont want a refund but a change of date for the same hotel, if it is the same price they might do it for you.

I do not get back from Vegas until Tuesday 10th so I am gutted about this. ****ing Sky!

It's not even on Sky though, that's the thing. They have moved it "in case it gets picked for TV". So basically, whoever made this decision made it with Sky in mind rather than the fans.

On that note, who WOULD have made this decision?

7pm kick-off is a joke, some of us have to work and then travel. Changing the date was not a problem but time is silly.

My thoughts exactly! And if there is weather like this evening or an accident, the M3 will be a nightmare. No time for a beer and I'll be lucky to make KO!!

Bollux to this, don't they know people have to work and getting to a 7pm kick off is very difficult to do. Why change the game just in case it might be on telly! Proves yet again with the ticket fiasco from saturdays FA cup and not opening up the Kingsland etc. and now this, that they don't give a t*ss about the fans.

I must agree - Ticket news should be one of the clearest and easiest things to find on a football club website, yet it's now more difficult than on the old official site, probably nothing to do with the club, all to do with the new design, which is the same on many other official club sites.

I find it particularly difficult finding away ticket details, they seem to be all over the place. As a fan who predominantly goes to away games, and is involved in the ordering/distribution of tickets for the Northern Saints it would help me greatly if they could have one section of the site purely for away tickets news, as it is I have to look all over the place.

any one bought one online yet?

Can't see them online yet, even though the OS says they've been on sale since Monday 4th. Last time the JPT tickets were in a sub-menu in My Account (Cup match renewals), but the link there to JPT final does nothing.

The away tickets should appear at Midnight tonight.

Bought a Norwich one on-line and it was in the normal list. Probably will only appear there once they go on gen sale.

This is David Luker's response to my complaint about my lost expenditure on hotel rooms for the 16th Feb

"Thanks Andy

If I may, I will respond on Nicola’s behalf.

The rescheduling of this fixture is actually out of our hands. We have NO SAY in this whatsoever. We only ever get a say in the kick-off time. However, if TV coverage is involved, this is then out of our hands also

The fixture has been moved by The Football League. If you’re in agreement, I will forward your email to them for them to respond to you directly?

Best wishes

David
