Austin Transfer Rumours

Kaiser Soze

Recommended Posts

Apparently the Charlie Austin signing is off.

In a sensational last minute twist the Swindon striker refused to sign after complaining about having to drive back and forth to Southampton to have medicals and be shown around the facilities every day for the last fortnight.

Remember the real Keyser Söze was Roger 'Verbal' Kint.

I think this is now all we need to know on the subject. He's ours!...apparently

''OFFICIAL

Charlie Austin has been anounced on Southampton radio to join Southampton for a deal reported to be 1.5 million plus connoly and lee holmes may be apart of the deal

OFFICIAL NEWS YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!''

Not a bad deal really , getting a good player and getting the other club to take 2 of our injured players in the process. This Cortese isn't stupid.

The £1.5 million would barely cover the medical costs for treating Holmes and Connolly!!

I smell utter BS. However, if true, it would be one of the great swindles of the century!!!

Deal is still very much on. Don't have any other info.

If we pull this off (which will be a massive achievement considering the number of other clubs involved) I look foward to a personal apology from everyone on here doubting my credability ;)

And if we don't pull it off....? ;-)

Don't worry, when it all comes to a head you will no doubt get the deserved reaction from our rational forum users. ;)

Which means the poor blokes got to jump in car and get down to SMS to have his seventh medical, be shown around Staplewood and then have another medical before signing on for the new owners at midnight.

He'll probably get a police escort all the way down to Southampton.

I'm going out to the 419 he might pass by.........

Wiltshire Radio commentators gave a list of visiting managers and scouts attending the match (honestly! It was during half time waffle).

And they specifically mentioned Nigel Adkins as being there. No wind up; no lies - just reporting what was on the radio this evening.

p.s. Austin missed a penalty

expect a lot of league 1 managers go to a midweek game to watch other teams if have a free week

he was probably watching Tranmeres Ian Thomas Moore, he'd make a great "cover" player and ideal fifth choice striker in case everyone else is injured. Just the sort of player we need on our books.

But what if Thomas Moore then gets injured?

At least two more strikers needed I think

Hmmm, those two might get injured though, best play safe and get another 5. If we can give them all 5 year contract so they are still with us when we get to the PL (all being well) even better. We'll need a squad of at least 100 players then and we need to start planning now.

An excellent strategy. But what about when Tommy Forecast gets injured?

We could probably do with a couple of extra keepers as well. Although if we base this on England, they take 3 in a squad of 22 for a maximum 7 game tournement, using that ratio we need 144 players which would include 19 goalkeepers to get us through a 46 game season, we urgently need to strengthen, get the cheque book out Cortese FFS.
