So which premiership teams do we want to join us in the Championship next season?

I would like to see,

Blackpool- would love to wind up holloway again the stupid rent a quote mug

West ham- just for how appaling the board have acted this season and another semi close away day

Wigan- may struggle if they came down once all their star players have gone

Wigan definitely, i f*cking hate Wigan, a pointless club.

Blackpool, had their season in the sun, back to reality thank you

Blackburn, just to spite their new owners who sacked a decent manager doing a very good job for no real reason.

Think i would prefer Wolves to West Ham, purely because I don't think they'll go straight back up or certainly be as strong contenders. Agree with Blackpool and Wigan though.

Wolves would be better equipped to go straight back up i think, lose less players.

It would be funny to have Holloway back at St Marys and sing "Premiership you're having a laugh" to him again, after his post match interview in January he has it coming to him.

I've never been to West Ham, so that would be a top priority away day, got to tick Upton Park off the list before they move.

after

And wouldn't mind going to Wolves again, I remember they had a really good cider there. I don't usually have a drink at half time, but last time there we were 3-0 down after 20 minutes, so had to get on it, also enjoyed teasing the ball boy in front of us, we nicknamed him "naughty" as he was sitting on what looked like a naughty step, good memories of an otherwise depressing away day.

Blackburn is a good call, their owners probably wouldn't have a clue what to do if they went down! Doesn't look likely though

Wigan and Blackpool for sure, undecided on the third.

Would love to see Avran get back to back relegations from the prem, but think West Ham would have a better squad than Wolves should they go down.

I agree with the OP!

Blackpool - don't like Holloway and don't reckon they'd do anything if they came straight back down, especially with a massive squad of average players

Wigan - will lose some stronger players and also don't think they will do much in their three-quarter empty stadium!

West Ham - will be stronger than the other two but should be a good away day which a lot of us can get to. Also good to see Avram take them down!

Wigan have been punching above their weight for a while.

West Ham have been seriously mismanaged over the last few years, and Gold & Sullivan need a wake-up call to hire a GOOD manager as opposed to Grunt.

Blackpool shouldn't have been in the Prem in the first place.

Wolves have got a very good squad for a team in the relegation zone, and Mick McCarthy is a great manager. They will stay up.

Blackpool just to give that tosser Hollowhead more stick when he comes to SMS, other than that not to fussed they're all just stepping stones on the way to back to back promotions.....

Got to agree with blackpool just to sing "Ian, youre a c*nt, ian ian youre a c*nt" after his post match comments in the cup. But part of me keeps thinking that they have really tried to play some decent football in the prem this season and have beaten some very good sides in the process. Holloway is a gobby yokel tosser, but his team have gone about their business the right way this season imho.

Blackpool, had their fun now back to let the big clubs back to where they belong. Great entertainment though.

Wigan, **** rugby town full of south americans and fans who are never there. Sod off back to league 1.

Blackburn, back to Championship where you belong.

West Ham will be the weakest of the three, they're still £100 million in debt, that's just about sustainable in the PL, but not in the NPC. They'll lose all their good players and sack Grant, they'll be in complete disarray. Blackpool would be the team I'd fear facing if they get relegated, say what you like about Holloway the man, as a manager he's done a great job, and barring Charlie Adam I imagine they would keep the core of their squad together. They're also financially far more stable than most PL & NPC clubs meaning they could cope with the financial cost of relegation a lot better than West Ham, Wolves or Blackburn.

Agree with all of this. None of them deserve to stay up and I don't think will be a threat to us next season.

West Ham - would like to go to Upton Park one more time.

The Wigan hate I've never really understood, after all they're only like Bolton and no-one seems to have a problem with them. But whatevs, would like to have them down so I can cross another ground off the list.

They are nothing like Bolton. Bolton have a bit of history and fill their ground now and again. WIgan are where they are because one loaded fella pumped a load of cash in. Their crowds are embarassing, 14-15k and about 200 away from home. A town and club like that doesn't deserve premier league football, a truely pointless club.

History aside, they're both Lancashire teams trying to carve out a fanbase in an area extremely heavily populated with League clubs, who left their rough old-school grounds to play in new, comfortable, but ultimately bland half-empty stadiums.

Whilst it's unfair that their resources come mainly from a single man rather than gate money, it's the laissez-fair structure of football that should be challenged, not individual clubs. Don't hate the playa hate the game, yo'...

With two games to go, these are the bottom three.

I hope they stay there!!!!!

I'd like to come down:

West Ham - Decent away day fairly close by and I think they would struggle with their board issues etc.

Wigan - Pointless club. Once the overpaid foreign mercenaries all p*ss off they will be a fairly average NpC outfit

Blackpool - Just to wind 'Olly' up and it'd be a cracking weekend away.

Don't want

Blackburn - The North is dark and scary.

Brum - Mcleish is a good manager and will have them well organised.

Wolves - As above with MM.

Wolves would be strong if they are in the Championship next season. They'd keep hold of more of their first team compared with the mass exodus that will happen at West Ham. I don't think Wolves will go down because of their very good win today against a West Brom side who have been very good. I can see Wolves doing well over the next two games and doing enough.

For me it will be West Ham, Wigan and Blackpool. Not really sticking my neck out but I can't see anyone else doing down now. I can see Wigan doing well next season and being up there but the Championship has thrown up a few surprises over the last few seasons. I think Boro will be the team to beat next season

Went and watched Wolves V Baggies today and wolves looked good in midfield and attack but no defence at all. Hop[e they stay up and that really poor loser Hollowhead suffers successive relegations....!!!****!

West Ham - for the atmospheres generated at our place and theirs. also look forward to seeing them and Millwall tear pieces out of each other.

Wigan- club built on rich man's vision and nothing else. the mercennaries will soon find sunnier climes and vistas in Bolton or somewhere. also a new ground.

Blacburn - maybe put in a cheeky bid for christopher samba who is jaidi's one and only natural successor -from the same sam alladyce school of brick sh*thouses. Probably have the most out of the johnny-come-lately northern clubs to bounce back up, so wouldn't mind Blackpool, a club that with parachute payment or no parachute payment will sink without a trace if it gets relegated.

Agree with your three although as an outside bet, Blackburn could still be in the mix as their remaining fixtures are mancs (h), and a last day match at Wolves.

Teams who I expect to do well in Champ next season are Leeds and Leicester.

Pies at Wigan are supposed to be a highlight

The notion that people in Wigan are particularly fond of pies is a myth, perpetuated in part by Wiganers who don't want you to know the true origins of the term.

Essentially, it goes back to the days of industrial action in the pits. During industrial disputes, miners at the Wigan pits were notorious for buggering off back to work early. Hence, they were labelled "humble pie" eaters by the neighbouring pit towns, which is where the term comes from.

One of my Uni mates was a Wiganer who would make great capital out of the "Wigan loves pies" connection whenever we passed a Sayers. I pulled him up on it, and he admitted that he had been feigning love of meat and potato pies for four years to save the honour of his town.

In short, Wigan knows about as much about real pies as anyone else, and considerably less than say, Leeds, who really love their pies.

Wigan - Noddy club. Can't stand them. 16,000 fans when playing Arsenal in the Prem? Joke.

Blackpool - Can't stand 'Olly' and fancy weekedn away.

West Ham - Nearish. London aways good fun and never been.

Last time I went Redknapp was playing ffs.

God I feel old sometimes.

Wigan: They're in huge debt already and relegation would mean they would have to consolidate, rather than throw money at a promotion push.

West Ham: as above, they are totally screwed financially if they go down, Sullivan & Gold talking about bailing them out to the tune of £40M.

Blackpool: Wolves seem to have a bit of money behind them (stadium upgrades in planning) whereas Blackpool would "only" have parachute payments to fall back on.
