WHAT ???? Sweden has most blond girls in the world : ) Norway second.....

No way, if I may call you Jose. Norwegian women are mostly dark haired - Norway is about 10th in thr blondey tables. You get most blondes around the Baltic - Finland, Latvia / Estonia / Lithuania, Russia, Poland and Sweden have more.

Is the chairman first class? And have people been working hard behind the scenes?

The fitness and medical team all work ever so hard so that the players can come in and be the best that they can be everyday. We all pull in the same direction at this football cub to achieve our common goal because a house divided against itself cannot stand

It was interesting to hear about Liverpool fans finding it hard to take that Southampton had out-manouvered them in the signing of a quality player. A club's 'history' has no bearing on its future and Liverpool fans old enough to remember when their team was consistenly winning league titles must already be noticing that they have to look further down the table for their club now. If the signing goes ahead it will be nice to have put one over on a club that relies more on past and fading glory than it does on current performance. Having looked at Forren's background and what has been written about him, I'm very surpised that Liverpool didn't get him signed up before they alerted other clubs to his availability, and probably insulted him, by demanding a 'trial'.

Forren was discovered by Molde FK in 2008 when they met KIL/Hemne in the first round of the Norwegian football cup with Forren and two other young players impressing highly in a 3-1 victory. The three were invited to trial for Molde in a junior tournament following which Forren signed a 5 year deal with Molde. It is reported that he took the top Norweigen league by with storm and that European clubs, A.C. Milan, Newcastle, Liverpool and Hoffenheim have all watched him play. But Forren said that he was still young and had a long career in front of him so he would stay at Molde for a while, before moving to a bigger European league. He said that . He has also been l.inked with Lazio and F.C. Copenhagen and after winning the Norwegian league with Molde in 2011, the club rejected two offers from Club Brugge in December 2011.

Forren made his debut for Norway U21 in 2008, playing a total of 14 matches for the under-21 team and scoring three goals. He was later capped twice for the under-23 team. He made his full debut for Norway in January 2012 as a substitute, but since October 2012 he has been first choice alongside Brede Hangeland in Norway's central defence.

Sky Sports saying QPR are keeping tabs on the Forren situation and may step in.

NA said that when a contract for any new player is signed the club would announce anything and not before - he mentioned there have been some hijacks (probably meant Remy) but from his demeanour he was pretty happy and didnt deny Forren was close.

I like the 'can he play CB' joke better. Not sure it will work here though.

I can see Astori staying at Cagiarli until the summer. That's what happens on my FM game anyway.

That is so 2013! 2012 was all about 'can he play at left back?' You are right, it doesn't work with CBs though.

Has anyone asked yet why we are buying a Moldy footballer ??

Nope and fank fook nobody has tried to come up with a question about our tendency to last ditch defending at the end of games and put on an Allo Allo accent to vonder if ve vill see an improvement in our Vegard Action

But the last Norwegian CB we signed was our Claus

....and he wasn't a bad deal either (£400K in 1996)....ended up with over ** 400 first team games to his credit and bled for the cause on a number of occasions.....

**one of only a dozen players (and the only non-Brit.) to pass 400 apps. for Saints

Don't recognise the name, but he's Norwegian you see,

(Swedes don't take them seriously- unless one of their long-distance skiers trounces a Swede in the Winter Games).....we should ask Norway Saint for an update (a regular poster on the Overseas site.)
