Sunderland vs Saints build up

Anybody hoping for a goalfest might be in for a disappointment looking at their home record.

Only QPR have scored less at home, but only 4 of the top 7 have conceded less!!

A tight 1-0 either way or a 1-1 seems likely ....... cue a 4-3 stonker to us then!!

That post was more confusing than Eric's attempt to use his mobile on Friday Night when he ended up in Tehran after Sandance

It wasn't Tehran it was Basra ... sorry Al Barsha!!

You do realise it is a 1800 Dubai KO not 1900 as you advertised on FB?

Next week is the 1900 KO.

Quiet night for me tonight drinking wise but hopefully plenty to cheer to make up for it.

Finally what kit will be in and where are people pre drinking too as well!?!

COYR!!! :D

We will be in yellow. Because that's the only kit we have which isn't the same colour as their home kit. :?

For completion : I'll be drinking, probably water or maybe a cup of tea, in my kitchen.

I love the way Dannysfc can never pin his prediction to just one scorer per goal.

I thought he meant they were sharing a goal by scoring half of one each.

I'll have to ask him to expand on the theory after the game.

Hooiveld instead of Yoshida again?

Seems to be in line with Pochettino's "shop windowing" of talent we may wish to move on, or alternatively "Hooiveld's first choice now", which seems unlikely.

I bet Forren gets on if we're 2 or 3 up.

I've just decided to try and identify a scenario where we'd have to beat Stoke to stay up. And I've given up.

1. Wigan win both their remaining games - Arsenal (a) and Villa (h) AND

2. Norwich secure 2+ points v WBA (h) and Man City (a) AND

3. Newcastle secure 2+ points v QPR (a) and Arsenal (h) AND

4. We lose to Sunderland today by 12 goals or more

Not especially likely, all in all.

Straight red , 3 matches ! My trainee that I pick up in the mornings is a makem , told him if we lose hes making his own way in lol. I think he'll be ok though 2 nil saints Ricky and Jose!

Very happy with that line-up. Pretty much exactly as I'd have chosen, possibly with Yoshida in instead of Fonte. Easily good enough for three points today, especially against a weakened Sunderland. This will be no walk in the park, but I do think we're good enough to win this.

I'd still take a draw though, natch.

Really. Was it a straight red v WBA or a 2nd yellow? If the latter, you're right - it would only be a one match ban.

straight red

Would have liked Puncheon to start instead of Lallana, lets hope Adam can pick up his form.

Puncheon's demotion to the subs bench is a bit of a strange one as some of better performances have been with him involved.

(Did not think I'd ever be saying that 12-18 months ago).

Hooiveld instead of Yoshida again?

No, Hooiveld has played almost every game together with Yoshida so it´s vey unlikely that they would replace one and another.

Jeeez, you would think that our fans would´ve been watching the games....

Agree, has been involved in some vital wins for us, seems that since he's signed his contract, he's now on the bench, even though Lallana's form has been poor.
