The Semi Final Ticket Thread (Chelsea)

Is there an actual window for 'general sale'?

I don't have a ST or a membership or games from this season but plenty of db history, ex ST holder etc.

Will it actually get this far or is there a non-members-with-games-from-this-season window first?

Friday is general sale with one qualifying fixture from this season. I assume they'll announce another sale window after that so you should be OK for next week.

League cup final basically sold out at this stage/criteria set last season-

‘Members plus one home game’

Yet still plenty of tickets left!

My prediction is game will sell out on the Friday, 3pm.

If the club hadn’t faffed about and sold the tickets before the WHU game I reckon we would have sold it out- a fair few I know just can’t fathom spending near on £70/80pp when transport and food etc is factored in on these half-hearted players we have this season.

With this 'pick a seat malarky' and being able to view the green dots (and you don't even need to log in) - if it doesn't sell out - it looks like you might be able to pick say, a £30 seat, monitor whats not sold - and come KO move into say, an unsold £45 seat...

Agree it is far too complicated. In my group of 10, all of whom are either season ticket holders or members we have 7 different qualifying dates. Given we have less than 33k season ticket holders and members it was always going to make general sale so why over complicate it.

Over complicating things is something our ticket office specialise in (incompetence runs from the top of the club down) ignoring the basic rule of business if you make your product difficult to buy the less you’ll sell of it, will be interesting to see how many sell tomorrow, first time non-members get to buy, no idea why they’ve narrowed down “qualifying fixtures” to not include league away games, that seems fairly pointless.

NON SEASON TICKET HOLDERS/MEMBERS

Subject to availability, following the sale to Official Members, tickets will then go on sale to supporters without a Season Ticket or Official Membership, based on how many qualifying fixtures they have purchased in the 2017/18 season. All home Premier League fixtures up to and including Stoke City, all Emirates FA Cup games from this season (both home and away) and the Carabao Cup fixture vs Wolverhampton Wanderers count towards the criteria, meaning that there are a total of 21 games which can be used to qualify in this sale.”

Chelsea still haven’t sold out either.

Anyone received tickets yet? I purchased 4 tickets in 2 different transactions a few days apart, but the first lot bought on first day of sale haven't turned up yet
Have got mine bought on the first day, not the ones from this Monday.

Should just be on sale to anyone with a purchase history now.

Completely right.

Saints have made a right pigs ear of this sale, by thinking we are a bigger club than we are! Ticket office manager needs stringing up.

Nope, that can’t be right, Ralph made that clear when he put us in our place a while back. It’s simply just another example of making a ‘pig’s ear’ of most we seem to touch these days.

There are a few more deserving candidates ahead of him on that list.

Anyone with a supporter number who will not be going and interested in purchasing a ticket that I will pay for. My son has now decided he would like to go with me but he does not have any qualifying games this season on his supporter number. Thanks.

TBF, it's pretty pathetic if we can't sell this game out...!

We're not selling this game out, people need to accept that now, the club even increased their comps when they realised it and have now had some returned because we can't even give them away.

Wonder how that has come about.

Guessing its tickets they held back for friends, families, corporates, etc but didn't end up needing? I did notice when I booked up (as soon as sales opened on day 1) that there were several groups of seats within certain blocks that seemingly had not been put on sale.

Edit: just read ericb's reply which pretty much confirms this

Loads of prime lower tier tickets back on sale near halfway line - that will annoy those who bought elsewhere having missed out on them.

You're right - it bloody has...!! How the fv ck have all of these tickets suddenly become available when they've been saying for days that they were sold out. I was probably buying my tickets (cheapies in the upper echelons) this morning at about 09:15 ish and your post is 09:28, so fv ck knows what is going on.

Bollux to it...

I know someone who bought upper tier at 8.55 this morning but would much prefer lower tier. I think the policy is no exchange of seats. The club has no control over the ticket prices but it does control the sales procedure. Unless there’s a reasonable explanation for these “sold” seats suddenly appearing as if by magic then it’s pretty poor by the club.

My guess is that these are Staff tickets which they weren't able to shift

Your guess is right, these are comps that we haven't been able to give away. Absolutely damning state of affairs that we can't even give away tickets to a cup semi final

So real fans wait days to qualify to buy tickets, support the club and end up with the dregs. Meanwhile the club can't give premium tickets away to erstwhile 'supporters' / queue jumpers. Excellent PR / customer skills.

If a miracle happens and we win, I hope the final tickets will go to the people who purchased semi final tickets first. Before ST holders who didn’t go, regardless of how many games they’ve done. No doubt they’ll be thousands who couldn’t make the semi final, that’ll now be free to go in May.

In an ideal world that would be what happens. Alas it wouldn't.

That's part of the advantage of being a ST holder always has been always will be it's a reward for stumping up the cash for a whole season before a ball has even been kicked and I have no problem with that.

I'll admit I didn't take up my ticket as a ST holder for the semis. A day out to Wembley is an expensive business and I'm not in the position to afford it for myself and number one son twice in the back end of one season so I'm optimistically keeping my powder dry for the final.

From this afternoon's press conference....

- Davis the only confirmed absentee from the squad due to a new injury (achilles)

- Considering starting Bednarek to maintain same defensive formation as vs Aresenal

Yeah but did he mention anything about semi final tickets?

Also a little annoyed, bought tickets in the highest tier yesterday morning but would love to sit somewhere not surrounded by empty seats. Dropped them an email about possibly refunding the first purchase so I can buy the more expensive ones but not expecting them to do anything about it.

Won't make any difference to me either way. Just can't be Rrsed to trek up to Wembley anymore. Using it as a club ground has ruined its special status, just another over-hyped, hyper-expensive footie stadium with inadequate facilities, lousy catering and stinking loos.

What about those ST holders who generally can't make it? pre booked holiday's / arrangements, work commitments etc...

I don't fall in that category, but this is a bit of a silly comment.

Personally I think the club should also check all CCTV and anyone who arrived at the stadium late or left before the final whistle over the past 5 years, shouldn't be allowed to go either.

I did the same thing, response from ticket office is they are non-refundable as a 3rd party sends out the tickets.

I have no problems with the categorization of selling tickets. But I think that a couple of the categories could be merged and the windows could be made smaller. After that, get it on general and try and get as many up there as possible.

I really dislike this ‘I’m a better supporter than you because I’m going to the semi attitude ‘ FWIW I’m not going and as an intelligent, educated person I’ve made a rational decision based on a number of factors including cost, likelihood of winning, the fact it’s on TV and not least I’ve taken in to account the dross we’ve been served up and the money I’ve thrown at the club in the last couple of years to be and 2003. I attended all of those but the Premier League has changed so much since then and it’s now just business. Personally I don’t give a rats if we go down. It’s the club I support and I’ll be going again next season when a new era starts. In the meantime I hope you all have a great day, that we win and all the deserving cases get Final tickets.

As I said in my post, I’m sure they’ll be thousands of them with legitimate reasons for not going. There always is.

So someone who has been to every game this season, home and away, but can’t make the final because of a pre booked holiday (let’s say) doesn’t then deserve a ticket for the final?

Have a day off with the I’m the biggest and bestest saints fan persona.

Face it, were sh!t at the moment, a large number of our fan base (as with any club our size) are glory hunters/part time supporters who will only venture out for the odd/big occasion. Again, with any club our size, we have a core of 18-20k that will ‘support’ the club whatever and about 3-4K who are willing to regularly trave (what loyalty do the club offer to these btw??? Absolutely f all)l. The rest, they won’t like it but they’re armchair fans.

As long a you get your ticket for the final, don’t let it bother you who else does.

I’ve got my ticket and in my group I have friends who are going who haven’t been all season and won’t go again (unless we make the final). As long as they don’t get one at my expense, who really gives a ****. I’ve just accepted that our fan base / support is f ucking appalling.
