Rumours are it'll be Gary Rowatt who has also been linked with Blackburn. Shame.

I think Rohl has just ended Martin’s managerial career. He comes in and results change over night and they are 6 points of the top with a game in hand.

Martin struggles to set up a good attack and Bonnie Blue is tighter than his defenses.

How many times does he have to be utter shite before he accepts that he is the problem.

Honestly i can't believe there's still people blaming Martin when it's actually football that's the problem, Martin is a visionary, way ahead of his time. If only the game itself could catch up with the fact that goals don't matter and sideways and backwards passing is what the spectators are there to see.

In fact his powerpoint should be mandatory to everyone in the country and the beatings should continue until there is no doubt that his way IS the right way

With Frank gone from Tottenham, Martin's patience in not taking the Leicester job seems to be paying off. Surely a shoo-in for the vacant Spurs position.

He won't, but if he did get the job that would be ultimate box office.

Ralph Hassenhuttl now the bookies favourite after Rowatt backed away. I won't lie, I'd feel a bit disappointed if he went there.

But to employ the manager that lost 9 nil against them not too long ago... Leicester are funny.

I'm no Russell Martin fan,  but tbf people can say his football was boring and as you jokingly say goals don't matter.

Just to go all MLG on you.

The 23/24 season our 46 games had 150 goals which was the highest in the Championship.

A crap premier league manager with messiah like delusions ..yes.

An entertaining Championship manager with games full of goals and ultimately promotion...also yes!

You are right, there was clearly room for improvement here as reducing the number would've given us higher possession stats. Every time we scored the opposition started with the ball taking the possession stat down, clearly a massive mistake by Martin that. Good spot.

He'd be walking into an absolute shit storm and deserves better. That club is poisoned and its a thankless task for whoever goes there - all that lies ahead is cost cutting, wage cuts, and a struggle so survive whilst they weaken the squad iteratively over a couple of windows. I don't want that for Hassenhuttle, all amusements at them signing him (after the 9-0, bertrand, Vestergard) aside.

Please say he is. Their swanky stadium will be a nice addition to the Championship venues.

dont think it will be to long before leicester go into administration

Does the owner have money troubles?  They have some players that could easily sell to get about £150m. Wages are probably high, and like us are on the players more difficult to move.

I recollect reading somewhere that Leicester did not ensure that players arriving on big wages did not have a relegation clause in their contracts which obviously a major oversight if true/

Yep, King Power almost went bust on the back of the pandemic - as their business in duty free was null and void for months. I think the Thai Government saved it, but in exchange a big % of their profits have to go back to the airport authority for rent space, as well as the Thai Government - so the King Power brand is not what it was, their profits are down 75% and the club is a big casualty of that.

Quite a few of the players on their books don't have a relegation clause in their deals if they did go down to L1, so they'd automatically be in breach of the L1 rules and have further deductions. King Power going into trouble hasn't helped them in any way, but they've been horrendously mismanaged in light of that.

I think they'd struggle to get that. Fatawu is obvious, probably 30 to 40 million but after that they'd struggle to get more than 10-15 million for a player. Mavididi may have some value, Skipp and Winks possibly but I struggle to get close to 150 million. Their squad is old, poor or running out of contract and a lot of them are on huge wages and their young players aren't exactly doing much, Monga aside perhaps. Even Jordan James who has been one of their best players this season is only on loan.

Of course if they did go down, Fatawu's value would probably dip as clubs wanting him would be dealing with a League One team. They're in real trouble. From what I've read the owner, the son of the guy they love,  has lost interest and barely comes back from Thailand now.

Thanks, didn’t know the business was losing that level of money or players not have relegation clauses in contracts, makes you wonder why take on Aribo.

Fatawu is the best winger in the Championship, 21 and would be worth more than Dibling. Mavididi is still decent and Monga has interest from many top European clubs. Don’t know the squad that well, there could be a couple of others to boost sales.

Although the owner doesn’t go to many games, he watches live games and Doesn’t seem to be interested in selling up

That is mental. How can a 10 year old boy playing Football Manager know that it's just a basic thing to put relegation clauses in, yet they have a board full of professional businesspeople who are highly paid to focus on nothing but running their operation worth hundreds of millions, and not one of them thought to do it?

That sort of thing just boggles my mind
