Assuming he leaves, my abiding memory of BBD (and not his fault BTW) was seeing him hugging the left touch line whilst AA did the same on the opposite wing, against Forest. I've never seen two strikers so far apart, it was lunacy.

Mine will be his BAFTA award winning collapse after the ‘head-but’ at Newcastle.

So, BBD going. Horrific player for saints, but good luck to him

Sugawara gone. Horrific player for saints, just fucking woeful, but good luck to him

Onuachu gone… you get the drift

My explanation is the two players that became magnetic due to a freak electrical storm which then either had them treading on each others toes, or pushed to the extremities of the pitch. There was probably a way of harnessing that power somehow with a coil of wire, but none of our managers found it.

Your autocorrect is coming up with some crackers.

If BBD was in an office, I wouldn’t trust him to work the photocopier.

I think Sugawara is the best departure so far. He has been appalling since day 1 over here. BBD at least has had a bit of success in this league, and could do alright with a new start

Not since day 1 - his first game or two he actually looked like he could be pretty good (some good positive running and crossing), but needed some time to settle into the team positionally and defensively. Sadly that never happened and he went backwards from there.

yep, it's the perfect visual metaphor for him attempting to control the ball before shooting at goal.

The fact he can't get in the team, even when none of our forwards can score says it all.

Edozie and Aribo outgoing news has gone quiet.

Not as quiet as incomings, deathly silence on that

I'm not too concerned about lack of rumours. None of the players we've been linked with, apart from Spertsyan which obviously isn't going to happen, fill me with much confidence. Azaz maybe but not at the price Boro want.

I trust Will Still when he says we will definitely be bringing in new wingers/10 so hopefully things are moving quietly behind the scenes.

Charlton, Preston and Blackburn were three of the sides that liked BBD as of a couple of weeks ago. Think it’s likely to be a loan whoever he ends up at.

Waiting for an update on other matters.

His signing on fee deterred Everton and West Ham. Given they’ve both made signings since in that area that ship sailed but I reckon Brum after the window,

Well if Brum get him that's one up to them against us because he's a very good player. Not one who might develop or could make an impact - he's the finished article. For whatever reason SR don't seem to want players like that and prefer to clog up the squad with absolute dross that they then can't get rid of.

That would be right wouldnt it ? Goes to Charlton and that mad little Welsh bloke turns him back into a regular goalscorer !!

Yep, that's the smart money bet, West Ham in particular, which will piss their fans off no end. He almost certainly wants better than Burnley and feels he's too good for the champ so there's zero chance he's signing for us. Honestly don't know why people think this is some kind of easy, no brainer signing.

Nobody thinks it's an easy no-brainer signing but I'd like us to show interest in him, have a go, see if he's interested, explore the option but it won't happen with this mob in charge because they have zero ambition other than to turn a quick profit on a gamble.

Fine by me if it strengthens a team who won't be our rivals, he can't play against us anyway.

Imagine losing 1-0 away at Charlton

BBD scored the winner then gives Nath a shoulder ride on their lap of honour at the final whistle

I honestly wouldn't be surprised

Keeping Fernandes (so far) is a huge positive.

He'll go probably late in the window because SR is all about pound signs and not about developing a decent football team.

One thing you can't knock from this window is the ability to shift deadwood. We should end up with a much smaller squad, which is one win at least.

Yeah, shift the current deadwood to make room for the incoming deadwood as replacements - we've seen how they operate.

BBD going makes sense, he wasn't even in the squad at the weekend. I imagine someone will take him on loan, no one is going to pay a fee for him.

He's got some qualities for the right side I'm sure, but we're not that side as we like to play football.

If we can shift Taylor, Edozie, Aribo, BBD, ABK, Sulemana, Onauchu, Suguwara then that's a huge chunk of wages and deadwood gone from the club, which is something we all wanted us to do 100%

We now need to make sure the quality comes in the building to replace those. It just seems like we've got such a short period of time to do so much, if it goes as we need it to go I don't think we'll have ever seen the likes.

We’d be paying a% of the wages which SR will hate but it’s the only option to get his career going again and his chin off the floor. PNE and Blackburn more likely I’d have thought but if Jones gets him scoring 15 goals this season, win win, he’s then an asset again to sell.

Out of that lot the only one I wouldnt object to staying is Taylor tbh.

Last years transfer dealings were probably an all timer as far as how not to do it

Fernandes the only decent one

Quick wizz through reveals so far we've signed  a dodgy 3rd choice keeper, Dibbles has gone to Everton for a wad of cash ( Did they agree a return by date?)  and no one knows F all about anything else.

Taylor is another of those good lads to have around, we've got a lot of those. I don't think he's of the required quality anymore though and we are already stacked at LB. (Assuming Wellingtons injury isn't bad that is)

Then, tired and unsteady, he’d drop Nate after the effects of a Friday night in the pubs of Greenwich, in a replay of Tony Adams’s holding aloft and dropping winning goal scorer Steve Morrow at Wembley and putting him out for the rest of the season.

Yep, I’d say that was as Russell’s weirdest and shittest call tactically, and there is significant competition

I liked Rak-Sakyi, but his loan at Shef U raised some eyebrows as he did diddly squat. He's got genuine ability and pace though, certainly adds to what we don't have. I'm just not quite sure if he's any better or any more proven than Edozie that's all.

He’s got more end product than Edozie, which isn’t particularly difficult.
