According to BBC, Norwich have offered a contract to their preferred managerial option. Martin and Still thought to be in the running.

Norwich fans did end up protesting against Stuart Webber when he was DOF, after a dismal time of it. I wonder how long their patience would last under Martin in particular. They were sick of watching Farke's uni-system fail.

It is unclear when Leicester will discover the outcome of this hearing, but many sources claim a final verdict is not expected until the end of this year at the earliest.

Appeals could risk the row dragging on into the second half of the season.

After rules were amended earlier this year, any sanction – including a points deduction – could be imposed this season with Leicester in the Championship.

That uncertainty is threatening to cause great disruption in the chase for promotion.

Leicester and the Premier League declined to comment.

Coventry are on fire, be amazed if they screw this up now.

Leicester, with a pending points deduction, are looking average. They will likely change their manager....can only be time for....

Top 2 needs to be the target.

Catching Cov is out of our control, but not impossible if we beat them twice, but second is all to play for.

We'll see with Cov. I've watched them the past few games and they seem to be a bit of a bomb scare at the back, just they know how to put the ball in the net to save them!

Need to take emotions out of it

Americans get it.

Americans pack up sport ‘franchises’ and move them across the country. Their sporting culture is very different from ours. I would be put good money that if the two clubs merged you would see one, if not two, fan led clubs formed that would draw fans away from Sheffield Unitesday.

Automatics:

Coventry on 40points (13clear of ipswich, 16points clear of us) are already most of the way home and dry, let alone with a +30GD after 17games. I know they'll suffer a blip, but i can't see them not finishing top 2.

The other place i suspect will go to one of Ipswich, ourselves, or maybe Brum. Ipswich are looking ominous now, consistently grinding out results and already in the mix for automatics.

Birmingham have a solid team, should keep getting better and better, and have the ability to significantly strengthen again in January if needed.

And saints, i think we have a very good squad for the division - need to keep going as we are now and we have every chance of getting the 2nd spot.

I don't fancy boro or stoke - i think they'll both ultimately fall away.

Playoffs:

Whoever doesn't make it for the automatics out of us / ipswich / brum, and then stoke and boro, then pick another - Bristol city perhaps?

I am writing Leicester off for promotion. They're getting at least 1 set of points deductions (possibly 2), and i just don't think their squad is good enough for promotion.

Good to see we are now among the top scorers in the Championship. Coventry are way out in front with 47 then it's Ipswich and Hull on 28 and us on 26. If current form continues we'll certainly outscore Ipswich and Hull.

Ings coming up against Portsmouth tonight for the first time since that 4-0 win at Fratton.

He's only on the bench but would be nice if he gets an opportunity to recreate a knee slide in front of their fans...

It's 3-0 for the Blades right now and he's just come on...

Shame we don't play them for another two months. Hopefully we continue to improve and they continue to slide back towards League 1

Way things are going you wonder if the skates will stick with Mousinho.

I always thought Gary O’Neil would end up there. Possibly their manager when we play them

Their owner moaning about the cost of the EFL today. Shows you how crap Still was that despite having to bring a shaky reserve keeper on that he was never tested and we didn’t score against them. Mind you, we also were the only side to lose at Ewood Park this season as well. Ginger Mourinho Will was not.

Pompey have one of the smallest budgets in the league (apparently). Everything about our approach to that game was a fucking disgrace.

I think Quarshie costs more than their entire transfer outlay this summer alone.

Matterface is a prick but he made that exact observation on commentary and it’s impossible to argue against. If they had better than Colby Bishop up front we’d have lost that 0-2 on national tv.

Anyone seen any pictures of the away end at Sheffield United last night? Hoping to use it as a bit of ammo but I’ve not seen any pics on social media.

Had a look, no pictures but The News has an entire article about their amazing support... It's so weird

In fairness, 1300 fans is more than Leicester took down here on Tuesday.

They crack me up, just can't help themselves can they.

"Chris Wilder was full of praise over the ‘passionate’ Pompey faithful who made the long-midweek trip to Bramall Lane."

We took just over 2000 up there midweek , they won't like that.

Seems to be quite a few more empty seats in the away end than when Saints played there, must be terrible traffic on the M1

Saints supoort home is far better than Pompey over the years and that's undisputed. Saints away also mut now be better especially in seasons when not playing well or relegated seasons.

Such a tight division and two more games to come this week could change quite a bit

20251206_204242.thumb.jpg.9ed016364bb2a5fab62bd3786be68c3b.jpg

This month is going to change this league a lot I think, injuries starting to show - as Coventry are stretched squad wise a bit at the moment.

This is where the likes of ourselves and Ipswich can certainly make up ground, and where you may start to see the likes of Stoke, PNE, Millwall and such drift off the pace slightly as the amount of games stretch their smaller squads.

Be interesting to see how it looks in a month.

They do, any opportunity to talk themselves up they’re all over it

whenever there is a post on Facebook about us our them they first few posts are always from them either posting about how great they are or how bad we are. Imagine having that much of an inferiority complex.

Agree, what's the cut off for booking suspensions ? Usually get more of those this time of year as well as players accumulate 5.

I thought we had some strength in depth but have been disappointed with subs recently, good to see Archer back in contention and Shea Charles not far away , going to need them

Millwall have done a remarkable job considering their injuries.

I personally think (and have always felt) that Ipswich would be a shoe in for an auto place. They’re nicely positioned and seem to be finding another gear. I reckon they’ll win the league.

Coventry have got a buffer and have played well so far, be interesting to see if they can keep that up when injuries and suspensions mount up. They’ll be disappointed if they don’t get autos now.

If Tonda can keep it up then we’ll be in with a shout. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if Us, Ipswich, Sheff Utd and Leicester all end up in top 6, which is exactly what you’d expect with the financial arrange we all have.

I’ve noticed this a lot over a long period of time: if there’s a neutral page that says something positive about us, the first few post or two will say something derogatory for no apparent reason, until you click that persons profile…location: Portsmouth. Really is sad
