It wasn't sustainable, and could have (and some argue should have) happened at any point for a while.

SR have yet another chance to reflect on their very long list of failed appointments, and other decisions, and make a change to their approach.

Come on, the team RM took over was better than this one!

And no, I thought Still had to go. I said so a week or two ago.

Not much. Adams and KWP, but would say we're better in Midfield now.

Thank fuck for that. Disaster of a fucking manager.

On a human level I hope he spends some time with his wife and uses his payoff to take advantage of what is important in life.

Agreed the right decision but can’t help but feel a bit sad about it. Seemed a decent guy but appeared massively out of his depth from the start not helped by the dickheads round him on the pitch and in the boardroom

good luck for the future, but right decision for us right now. Another Sport Republic disaster

It didn't work. God knows who we bring in but I'd take someone that just plays the best players I the best positions in the best formation. We all know the issues are bigger than just the manager but at least someone that can come in and steady the ship, maybe pick up a few wins and get us to the January transfer window in a reasonable league position that we can push on from.

That would be very sports Republic.

That's the truest statement the club have ever put on the OS.

We’re averaging a manager every 6 months. Obvious, but we can’t keep going on like this. I fear for our future.

It’s more than that isn’t it, the next appointment will be seventh since Ralph went 3 years ago

Yep and I believe it’s very much going to happen.

Onto the managerial merry go round we go. Whoever's in next, 10 games to turn things around or out you go.

Our centrebacks and strikers should be fucking ashamed of themselves. A little more composure at either end of the pitch and this season looks totally different.

Sticking with my prediction that now he's sacked he'll manage in the Prem before we return to it.

Agreed. Seems a lot more like someone you would root for than some of the twats we have had in charge.

It's exactly what will happen, which is why I'm not jumping in the streets celebrating. There's nothing to celeberate.

We've just had to cough up another enormous amount of money to another sacked manager, and we all know how this plays out next. There's nothing to be excited about.

I can't even get my head around yesterday. He must have known his job was on a knife edge and he still put that team out. Whatever you think of Martin, at least with that Spurs game he made a desperate attempt to do something different. It was a disaster but he tried to do something. Still? Nope, five at the back and Armstrong as the lone striker. Stick with the same bullsh*t plan that's failed him in every game up until now, is very obviously not going to work again and every fan in the ground can see is hopeless.

Yeah he's gone, but nothing will change. We'll now lurch into the next disaster, it won't be a manager anyone 'wants' - just saying.

If new coach cant play real football then we can get them out too. No more analytics EA 26, 600 pass and 1 shot football.

Hopefully we will get someone with a bit of experience from the Hungarian second division

Have zero confidence we will make a decent appointment. Nothing will change until SR move on.

You clearly haven't been watching us this season then. Creating chances wasn't the issue.

'Good around the dressing room' - a bit like Stephens I guess.

That 'good lad' myth.

While Still was clearly out of his depth, these utter t**ts of players disgust me.  No heart, no bottle and continually getting managers sacked because of their shit attitudes and lack of effort.

The likes of THB and Downes and many others can go do one.

I am afraid I agree. Another attempt to find the next Pep Guardiola or Pochettino.

Why on earth would he come here? He's got a good thing going on at the moment. I can't see us as an attractive proposition for anyone at the moment.

Those sorts of managers are well out of our league now. We need to know our place in the chain now.

We have a decent squad, loads of money spent. Pulling the trigger now gives us a chance, with a decent manager, to at least try and aim for mid table. Usually I'd be excited about who our new manager would be, but this time, I'm shitting it, It needs to be someone who can string at least two wins together.

I've said that exact same thing since I heard the lineup. Just go balls to the wall, tell your team to attack and leave it all on the line. Instead we got insipid business as usual. It was almost like he had given up.

We’ve spent more on firing managers than real #9’s! the same striker that could of prevented the whole god awful mess we find ourselves in.

Stuart Armstrong, David Brooks..

On paper, and, even though I don’t like him, in reality, Martin’s champ team looks like Barcelona in comparison to our current crop.

His prem season helped build the useless ***** we have now

Awful appointment, thank god that’s over.

Please appoint someone with some fucking experience now

Beyond belief that having seen a 33 year old bloke with limited experience in Belgium and France wasn’t up to the job, they turn to a younger bloke with less experience to bail them out!!!

Ekert may be one for the future but this could easily derail his career, which is something we do quite well ( Jones, possibly Selles, and Still).

Wanted him to work, but the last month has been indefensible.

I'll repeat my thoughts: there is a rot in the club that runs far deeper than Still, and replacing him alone is not sufficient.

I have zero belief we will arrest our decline under this ownership.

Nothing will change. SR are the problem.

And the core of this group of players. Correct decision of course but like @Turkish and @S-Clarke I do not have any sense of celebration, actually sadness.

Until the goalkeeping and centre forward positions are sorted out properly, along with certain ‘senior’ players behaving like professional adults, the second half of the season will be as grim as the first.

I shit you not, the Sky Sports notification came through the exact same time the first firework went off at Whiteley FW display.

Shock they’re throwing another 21’s boss under the bus.
