Surely the first job of a manager is to get his best players in their best positions and get them playing well. Half of them are now on the bench because we haven’t got a position for them. Utterly ridiculous. 
 

The Hull result obviously spooked him but now that we seem to have found a bit more resilience at the back with McCarthy in goal and Wood coming in surely today was a good opportunity (especially with Quarshie out injured) to give the 4-2-3-1 another chance. 

 

Why not? It gives us a solid foundation to build on and allows us to be competitive. I'm not a fan of formation chat in general because I think formations are obsolete but we've found a way to be solid which we'll need to be and I don't think we need to come away from that to start scoring goals. I don't think playing more wasteful attackers would make us any less wasteful. I think we need to stop being wasteful. As I've said on here for quite a while now, there isn't some magic formation, team selection or player that suddenly gets us ticking that four managers in the last year have ignored.

We’re a shower this season. Obviously I hope Will turns it around but at the moment it doesn’t look close to happening. Even if we had won today, which we absolutely should’ve done, you’d reflect on the way we’re playing and know we’re not troubling top 6 the way things currently are. 

That's absolutely fair enough. Don't agree with all your takes, nor yours mine I'd imagine, but good to understand where you're coming from. 

 

Yeah it's a shower at the moment which is weird in itself because, what I know of his Lens team, they did have something of an identity.

Get him gone. Ridiculous appointment, he’s not turning this round. Thanks for being bilingual. Pre-season play a back 4 and then change the shape to a 3 and then talk about the system you want to play and then chuck fellows in off the bench to play as a wing back. Ross wasn’t even starting v the skates and then all of a sudden he can play 3 in a few days. Struggling to think of anything he’s got right yet. Boring as fuck to listen to n all
