And if saints don’t do it presumably you will be one of the first on here complaining that they “ don’t listen” to fans.
I agree it’s largely a PR exercise in being seen to listen and being open with supporters. I also agree that nothing said will change playing policy - nor Beer policy😵‍💫. BUT for those that want to get some insight into what our new Manager is really like it’s a great opportunity to ask him a direct question with a follow up. I will go to watch and listen intently to his response (s) and hence to make up my own mind about the measure of the man.

As you recognise, it’s a PR exercise therefore as I’m a realist when it comes to such matters, my expectations regarding any outcomes from the event are low. In fact I’ve attended one of these events in the past and at a time when I had more belief in the people at the top table. That meeting was as useful as chocolate teapot back then too!

Look, I do recognise everyone deserves the opportunity to attend these events if their heart desires - I’ve just learnt over the years that the best PR ‘stunt’ the club can pull off is putting out a decent team to win a good proportion of their games. That floats my boat.

It'll be a good listen, but never expect anything too ground-breaking.

It would be good to hear some uncomfortable questions put to the likes of Parsons if he's there, but I think it'll be centered around Spors and Still as the new people in the building - so it'll only be good news stories.

Its like planning permission meeting for housing estate or motorway it's all agreed already so one of those have to do tick box exercises. Did anyone raise the issue of passing back rather than concentrating on scoring goals.

They are by and large a PR exercise of course, but I generally enjoy listening. I think the panel try to be as open as possible, but the thing that always irks me is the number of idiotic questions from the floor - either irrelevant or too specific “why are you playing xxx?”. Also, people love giving long winded intros to their questions which no one wants to hear, and wastes time.

I hope Blackmore vets the questions, weeds out the ridiculous ones, and manages the floor better this time.

what are ridiculous questions to you?

I only listen to these forums to find out if any season ticket holders are in the audience. And if so, how long they have held those season tickets.

Specific questions like “why did you play ‘so and so’ in a particular game?”, “why are the shirts so expensive?”, “can we get better beer in the concourses?”. And yes, I’ve actually heard all of these questions before…

So I got 2 x tickets for this and these were supposed to be delivered to the ticketing app...nothing so far.  Anyone else not got theirs yet...?  Or is this another glorious moment for the ticketing department??

I remember at the last one there was a guy asking if we could do more for the away fans. Giving them a shout out on the tannoy, three cheers and a round of applause 😂

Lol, incredible

Do you have to submit the questions beforehand for them to choose? If so put a fawning one up how good SR are and then when you get asked go for the throat lol

Can someone please ask if we'll continue with huge tifo banner over Northam wall before games and if the same goal celebration music will be played when we score?

When we score???

Ironically, that's probably the thing they've prioritised most - it truly has become the best away day for fans!

We’re already giving them 1000 more tickets than we have to. I bet we’ve got little posters in the concourse thanking them for coming like noddy clubs do.

Can't wait to see St Mary’s rocking to this again

The younger fans like the more American type of celebration that they can enjoy the moment, whilst the more miserable old fans would rather  silence and be able to throw the 'who are you' chants at the away fans. Personally id like a row of American cheerleaders with pom poms aka American basketball. I can the lose my eyesight and dont need to watch the crap we get served up week on week. There again seeing the young ladies I see wandering around town I think I might stick pins in my eyes to not have to watch them 😀 Only teasing before we get the precious yokers on to me

Specific questions invite specific answers, which could be revealing.

Vague, unclear questions invite generalised, meaningless responses.

And specific questions (like "why are the shirts so expensive") may not be answered directly, but they do make their point.

Would love it if someone could ask about this and whether it is possible to reduce the away end and give it to home fans if needed, like you could in the Northam.

Anyone got a bingo card ready?

We’ll definitely get someone saying “I’ve been a season ticket holder for 50 years” or words to that effect.

I can’t be arsed to listen to this crap .

Its more like the Adam Blackmore show If past years are anything to go by .

big introduction by Adam introducing the panel . 15 mins .

Someone from the audience will ask a question then Adam will add his opinion on it , then after the answer Adam will again add his 2 pennies worth .

in between questions Adam will ask his own .

this will follow suite for each question until 15 mins from the end where Adam then summarises the evening and saying how lucky we are the club open up the forum .

The price is ridiculous. £7.30 for a pint of Asahi?!

Ive got my tickets and my question ready.

I’ve been a Southampton FC fan for more than 40 years, and in that time, the club has become more than just a team to me — it's a part of who I am. Supporting Saints isn’t always easy, but that’s what makes it so special. It's not about chasing trophies or jumping on bandwagons. It’s about loyalty, resilience, and the pride that comes with sticking by your club through every twist and turn.

From the days at The Dell to the move to St Mary’s, I’ve watched the club grow and evolve, while always holding onto its soul. I’ve seen legends like Le Tissier light up the pitch, witnessed last-gasp relegation escapes, emotional promotions, heartbreaking relegations, and cup runs that brought a city together. I’ve celebrated unforgettable wins and sat through painful losses — but never once considered walking away.

Being a Saints fan means believing in youth, in passion, in fighting above your weight. It’s about supporting a club that represents our city with pride — a club that nurtures talent, plays with heart, and keeps going, no matter what. There’s a unique grit to Southampton, and that spirit flows from the stands to the players and back again.

Over three decades, the faces on the pitch have changed, but the feeling I get every time I see those red and white stripes hasn’t. It’s about more than football — it’s identity, it’s community, it’s history. Win or lose, I’ll always be proud to be part of the Southampton family.

Once a Saint, always a Saint.

My question is this.

Can we have Meat and Potato pies in the foyer?

This is how you act at these things, right?

Post of the year. The right type of pie is very important.

Interesting to hear the last championship season described as "scraping the playoffs". Don't think those in charge were too happy with not challenging for automatic.
