Turkish Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago the video which came out in the mid nineties narrated by David Baddiel is now available on Amazon Prime. Get very nostalgic watching it, so lucky to have grown up seeing his whole career when i was able to go to games most weeks For you young'ens its a must watch 12
Sunglasses Ron Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Watched it myself recently, it's certainly nostalgic! It's not aged particularly well, but the goals of course are timeless!
Paul_B Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Brings back some great memories! Used to watch it on repeat, can't remember if it was on VHS or if DVDs were out by then..... As you say we are very lucky to have been able to watch a player like him at our club! I'll definitely be giving that another watch

Good shout on Amazon Prime, thanks though Turkish!
Turkish Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago I’ve still got the video too, plus the signed certificate from him and Chris Nichol from my 1988/89 junior saints membership

Not watched it for a long long time...not having a video player hasn't helped. The number of amazing goals is just ridiculous. Unbelievable in fact. I know 93-95 were his stand out seasons, but I love watching his goals from when he was younger. That 89-90 season was bloody brilliant. 1

It was like watching a top golfer, never seemed to smash it, always looked so relaxed and effortless but the power he generated made a lot of shots unstoppable. 2
Challenger Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Saw the thread title and assumed it was about him spouting more bollocks theories like the moon,s made of cheese or SR and the government are doing a good job. 2
Toadhall Saint Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Was so fortunate to see most of his goals in the flesh. What a player. 1

I think that’s his “Unbelievable 2” blu ray coming out soon.
Doctoroncall Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Same as most, I have the VHS somewhere in the house. May have a compact disc version as well! recently saw the highlights of the 3-1 win over the grey shirts and how precise MLTs finish was for his goal. How we missed that over the years.
franniesTache Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Mandated watching on the bingo bus this video, alongside crips that are kept in the fridge, panda pops that are kept warm, bingo that's rigged, and facepaint and jester hats.

West Dean FC Legend Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Down south recently, talking to my mate (for decades) and he apparently is mate of his. He was at some golf do or something, stood next to him, built up his courage to talk to him and apparently you genuinely wouldn't know he is famous or was a top level talented professional footballer. He's really ordinary and he plays golf with him occassionally, chats to him.....fair enough I say.
LiberalCommunist Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We were blessed to have him for his whole career. Still cringe at how little he earned when you look at some of the shit on massive heaps now. 1
LGTL Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I used to watch the VHS as a kid at least once a week. I can still remember most of it word for word! I don’t think the younger generation of fans appreciate just how good he was.

He was scoring 20+ goals a season in a pretty shit team and a good percentage of them were goals of real quality, he didn't score many tap ins did he. 4

Just how much would he be worth by way of transfer fee now? Edited 1 hour ago by Toadhall Saint 1
Lee On Solent Saint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Loved the guy then and still do now as most fans of my generation will. So many memories and stand out goals. He was an absolute football genius. Fuck knows how much he would be worth if he was playing now. 1
saintstowin Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Yes, nostalgia alert! I'm sure I kept mine. Bought it at a signing at, I think, Oxford St HMV where there were a fair few Saints and others fans even though in London. Well excited to meet him that day.
AlexLaw76 Posted 41 minutes ago Posted 41 minutes ago (edited) What a video. I was there as a kid and a teenager for MLT. Unbelievable player. he would be a £150m player now, comfortably. Edited 41 minutes ago by AlexLaw76

Absolutely world class brilliance. 1
