Yeah, Andy Goldie.

Thanks, that was the name I was thinking of. I don’t think he’s actually gone there as yet having googled him.

Those poor bastards on there mentioning Martin being linked with them once again.

They won the title ten years ago, the FA Cup 5 years ago.

Yet here they are, below us in the league paying for their post league win hubris.

Tell me you wouldn’t swap with them though

Had they not had that remarkable season we could have qualified for the champions league that year.

It's a bit like asking if we would swap with the Skates for their FA Cup win. Difference being I was delighted to see Leicester do well, gave clubs of a similar scale (us) hope.

So what? They did and we didn’t. Even if we did make the champions league we wouldn’t have won something.

yep I’d have swapped winning the FA Cup like the skates did and I’d happily swap our recent history with Leicesters too. I can’t think of any reason why you wouldn’t

Signing Lascelles would be far too sensible and pragmatic for SR. No resale value, just a disciplined, experienced leader at the heart of a defence.  Exactly as we’ve never had since Fonte left.
I’d love us to be one of those interested but would be surprised if we are

Had a bad cruciate injury and has barely played for two years. I do think he's a good defender and a leader but presently I'm not sure I'd take him over our existing CBs although our habit of signing crocked players speaks for itself.

He ain’t going anywhere

Why ? Any idea if not offered the role at Leicester, or declined it?

We’ll get a loan fee at least so he’s finally started to pay back his transfer fee

His value must be absolutely rock bottom so fingers crossed he bangs a few in.

Birmingham City don’t play in the SPL so he will need to find new ways of getting motivated.

Let's just hope Saints have a deal already sorted to replace archer.

Hope is all we have left with these clowns

If this signing leads to Russell Martin being appointed manager, then after 28 years of supporting this club..... I'm done!!!!

Tonda was pretty confident they’d be at least one coming in

So was Juric this time last year and we brought in the square root of fuck all.

Had a quick look on the Leicester forum for comments about Aribo. Found this gem about their manager search:

As luck would have it we've got a great goalkeeper they can have too, Russ said if he was looking for a keeper then he'd be the one he'd want.

This suggests their offer was £18m, assuming with add ons. I welcome them moving on.

We’ll get more for him in the summer. He’s not a terrible defender, still a fair bit to learn, but considering the shot he’s had to play alongside in recent times he’s been ok.

The bit I thought he needed to improve on was his “leadership”, so not berate your teammates when a mistake is clearly on you, don’t let your head drop.
Be more commanding and rousing to the team, a motivational type. That said we’ve certainly seen that in the last few games.

They say that everytime. Sure they’ll bid again.

I can see that. On the team sheet you write

*Cameron Archer

* do not select this player

Getting rid of Bazunu, Larios, Downs and Aribo in one window is some going tbf.

Only on loan though, they’ll all be back……!

If Leicester use their Saints loyalty card for the Aribo deal, given previous purchases, that surely gives them enough points to qualify for a get one free?

The pathetic 2024/25 squad has been dismantled. If archer Armstrong and Aribo go, well only have half dozen or so left.

The fact that they've screenshot some of the insults on here and even their fans find it funny is brilliant

Love the post: "seeing Sulemare depart only for Aribo to replace him is like recovering from a broken leg only to be run over by a bus."

I’m sure they’ll be plenty of offers to drive him there too so won’t even have to stump up for a cab fee
