Sopranos, Band of Brothers, The Wire, Peaky Blinders, Only Fools and Horses, Fawlty Towers, The Office

Honourable mentions to Star Trek TNG, Quantum Leap, Extras, Game of Thrones, Broadwalk Empire

not going to be a classic, but I like The Tulsa King right now

Oh, never seen breaking bad.

i wanted to include Line of Duty to the list of greats but the ridiculous last series just destroyed the show… probably why they are coming back, probably to fix it.

Difficult, but from a. Comedy POV if have to go with the US Office.

First series of True Detective was very good, Better Call Saul was excellent, really enjoyed Narcos.

Blue Lights is a very good TV programme at the moment as well, worth a watch.

Only Fools, Auf wiedersehen pet, minder, sopranos. In more modern times, breaking bad, Yellowstone, slow horses.

Chernobyl. Basically perfect.

Hard to disagree with that. Add Peaky Blinders, GoT, the Yellowstone origins series and Dark Horses of recent times, there is almost too much choice these days. In the past Edge of Darkness, Only Fools and Horses and Dad’s Army stand out for me but again there were so many greats back then it’s purely subjective.

West Wing is an absolute classic, probably the first TV series that I binged on (via DVD). Still holds the test of time.

Slow horses is very good, mostly because Gary Oldman is supreme.  I’m enjoying Landman at the moment even if it is a parody of itself.

I thought The Last Dance was brilliantly put together, the story of Michael Jordan at the Bulls. Only 10 episodes but very well made.

Fawlty Towers for still being genuinely hilarious.

Mindhunter was brilliant, I wished they had done more than 2 seasons.

Peaky Blinders, GoT and LoD all magnificent but scarred by poor final seasons IMO. Interesting to hear about more recent shows like Yellowstone and Landman as I haven't seen those yet. Best thing currently for me is Slow Horses, just finished Down Cemetry Road which is by the same writer and was very good.

Saw the stage version in London last year, that was very good even though I knew every line.

Slow Horses is excellent and I'm looking forward to watching Down Cemetery Road.  Slightly different but Dopesick stands out over the last few years.

Bit of an oldie now but back in the day "Edge of Darkness" was a big favourite of mine.

Couldn't stand Yellowstone - couldn't finish it in the end, generally boring characters doing boring things. Haven't done Landman yet.

Haven’t seen Yellowstone but we enjoyed 1883 and 1923.

I’m not going to be very original and say The Sopranos and Games of Thrones. Came late to The Line Of Duty but that is up there. Oh yes, agree with Slow Horses too.

Comedy wise it has to be Only Fools and Horses along with Monty Python and Fawlty Towers with a special mention for Michael Palin’s Ripping Yarns.

This is England

Peaky Blinders

Fawlty Towers

Only Fools and Horses

The Affair

Generally any series where Harlen Cobern has written the book is a belter too

I never really got GOT, i know loads of people who love it but i watched once to see what the fuss was about and it just seemed ridiculous to me. Any adult that watches a program where kids are dressed up as Kings and a dragon can fly across the screen at any moment is questionable.

Surprised to see so many votes for OFAH and Fawlty Towers given they both been recently branded racist and therefore liking them supports the far right. I expect Katy Hopkins likes them too.
