Harry_SFC Posted yesterday at 19:29 Posted yesterday at 19:29 Quick turnaround for this one and despite them being in even worse form than us I can only see a home win. McCarthy, Jelert, Wood, THB, Wellington, Downes, Jander, Scienza, Azaz, Fellows, Armstrong. (4-2-3-1) Changes needed at the back and a change of formation (neither will happen sadly). Front 3 were terrible today but a real lack of alternatives. Maybe pushing Fellows up would help things.
AlexLaw76 Posted yesterday at 19:39 Posted yesterday at 19:39 I suspect 3/5 at the back, slow and predictable when playing out from the back. Hoping THB can find his Pirlo boots or Leo can do something on his own. Fully expect them to squeeze the middle of the park. 3-1 to Brum 4
die Mannyschaft Posted yesterday at 19:40 Posted yesterday at 19:40 Birmingham 4-1. We were lucky at home and after Oxford shambles with subs and tactics cant see us not being out played. We will take Scienza off and play for a draw, put lots subs on and lose competiveness in key positions. Saints are too easy to defend against and teams have worked out we are a one man team. He goes off and they go in for the kill.
Willo of Whiteley Posted yesterday at 19:51 Posted yesterday at 19:51 (edited) Birmingham 3-1, or 4-1. So undecided. We aren’t getting any points here. Not pessimistic, just realistic. Edited yesterday at 19:51 by Willo of Whiteley 1
Lee On Solent Saint Posted yesterday at 20:35 Posted yesterday at 20:35 Watched them earlier. Although they struggled to break Derby down, they are big, direct and aggressive. I know we beat them earlier this month but the way we have gone backwards since then points to only one outcome.
Pamplemousse Posted yesterday at 20:51 Posted yesterday at 20:51 They'll have more of the ball which will actually suit us. 3-0 away win. Yes I have been drinking. 1
sockeye Posted yesterday at 21:13 Posted yesterday at 21:13 We might win, we might lose or might draw. But I think the empathetic 3-0, 5-1 etc wins are well behind us now…
Sheaf Saint Posted yesterday at 21:15 Posted yesterday at 21:15 Don't think I can even be bothered to watch. The Tonda bubble has well and truly burst. We've reverted to an even shitter version of Russball, our forwards have forgotten how to score, and our defence is more generous than fucking Santa Claus. 3 1
Appy Posted yesterday at 21:17 Posted yesterday at 21:17 We’ll lose, our team full of son in laws will crumble. 2
Morse Posted yesterday at 21:26 Posted yesterday at 21:26 Brum 3-0 win. We have a truly appalling defence that we expect to play out from. Until SR fuck off things aren't going to get better. 2
Give it to Ron Posted yesterday at 21:51 Posted yesterday at 21:51 Klarer their best defender sent off today. Demarai Gray came off injured and think Doyle out as well. Their keeper is as bad as ours 3-2 defeat last minute winner for them,
LGTL Posted yesterday at 21:55 Posted yesterday at 21:55 Game we’ll absolutely lose. Any sort of play off hope diminishing quickly. 1
Zorba Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Some zuwin, some zulus. 2-1 home win. 0-1 half time. Scienza subbed on 60 mins. 1

Wade Garrett Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Will Eckert change shape and key personnel or stick with what is failing? Would love to see a back 4 and a bench with Bazunu, Manning and Stephens on it. 5

Ridiculous situation to get into. However just dump Stephens he isn't needed. Put in Bragg to bolster the midfield. That will immediately take the pressure off the defence, and maybe, just maybe, Bazunu and Manning will be less exposed. Birmingham will be forced to commit more to attack, that inevitably will give our forwards more room and time. Also grow a pair and start getting narky. Fed up with other teams taking the piss I know somebody who knows more about about football tactics than me, is going to point out the flaws of that system, but they have to try something different. 2

Hussar Saint Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) Nailed on home win! Our fragile pussies have slipped right back into their old ways and Tonda will sub anyone who is remotely threatening before 60 mins. So depressing…. Edited 14 hours ago by Hussar Saint 5

We'll still find a way to gift them a win anyway. It's what we do best. 2

Miltonaggro Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Birmingham 3 Saints 1 Tonka will play Bazunu and three centre backs as per his negligent mandate from above. He will panic and make inexperienced / rash substitutions of our better players at 60-70 minutes. We will concede at least one more than we score. Greatest era in our history continues apace. 8

I honestly can’t fathom how people think that Bazunu is our best goalkeeper, and that Manning should be in the side ahead of absolutely anyone. Both League One standard footballers at best and I don’t want them anywhere near our starting XI 5

tdmickey3 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago 3 not player marking CB,s An awful oppositions wingers favourite full/wing back A ball watching hair pulling captain A poor positional, non shot stopping, scrambling, panicy goalkeeper A 1 trick, stupid substituting, Ankerson puppet coach All set up to be great evening 1

What people like you, the negative posters fail to understand is that the strategy is in phases. When SR first arrived that was the assessment phase. We are now in the break everything phase, shortly we will move into the rebuild phase then unparalleled glory is inevitable. You are those that lack understand cannot comprehend what is going on only those of us more enlightened ones see this. 7

It’s actually incredible the amount of money we keep needing to throw at this squad just to get it into the top half of the championship table, in order to merely negate and net off the effect of the abysmal management of the football side of things 4
West Dean FC Legend Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Three CBs - no matter what the score. Lose 5-1, win 4-2, doesn't really matter, the philosophy, tactics, players selected by the club, will not change. Tippy, tap around the penalty area and halfway line. Score loads of goals - great! Let last-minute winner in - great! Results mean nothing to the philosophy! 1

Wade Garrett Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago If he keeps the same shape and personnel he’ll get the same result. I don’t think Tonda has the bollocks to upset the players. He needs to get in their faces and give them a few home truths, then drop some of them. Bazunu, Manning and Stephens on the bench. 4-2-3-1 with the emphasis on getting the ball quickly up to the top 4 and busting a gut to support them. He won’t do it though. 3

No. Still did this and the players threw him under the bus. Between the players and Wankerson pulling the strings TE is merely a spectator 3
