Yeah but the article wouldn’t have been published if it was BS.

Why?  Boro will lap it up, and the Daily Mail want something to fill their pages before going full on about Keir and Zac tomorrow

What a load of bollocks it's a game of football ,Staff go to watch games all the time

This was training, specifically set pieces.

Edit: the set pieces allegation is in the Guardian’s write-up.

Yeah cos the Daily Mail has never, ever, ever printed anything that wasn't true has it 🙄

It’s quite clearly designed by Boro to unsettle us. Hiding in the bushes for fuck sake, I’ve heard it all.

Hasn't PornHub been blocked in the UK? Maybe he was just looking for some old school offline porn?

When did this “on the grass” pony come from. FFS, what’s wrong with “back in training”. I’ve noticed it creeping into the game, fucking hipster pony.

That was me once or twice but I realised it slowed me down, cost me loads and my employers brought in random drug testing so I knocked it on the head.

Should make him easier to mark.

Were these games at Ayresome or Riverside ?

Interesting you mention a 2-2 draw. I recall two games that might match up. A 2-2 under Chris Nicholl, I think Ruddock may have scored but also missed a penalty (c1989). More ‘recently’ a 2-2 from being 2 up under Strachan.

The Strachan match seemed to be pivotal in his time with us, as before that we seemed to play to attack and win. After that game it seemed to me we were a lot more cautious, and play not to concede.

It was at the Riverside and we were 1 down and then 1-2 up and we lost 3-2.

Oooo link please.

I’ve got messages from Pompey supporting mates who are taking the Daily Mail as verified fact and demanding expulsion. 🤣

Wow the delusion. They really have taken it as fact haven’t they 😂

lets not pretend that if it were the other way, the previous lot within our fan base (and there are loads) would be raging about it

Yeah, newspapers never print anything that isn't verified to be 100% true.

That's the spirit!

We have had an amazing 2026, but in the league, we have looked open and we cant keep clean sheets.

We have peaked a few games back, and reckon the intensity of the last month or so will hit us

The only clubs they’ve managed to beat in the last 2 months are QPR, Sheffield Wednesday and Watford

If we don’t win both legs on the pitch I’ll be amazed.

And the in the last ten games, Boro have only managed to beat the bottom two teams in the form table over that period, conceding more goals than we have in the process.

The last few games we have badly missed Stephens who is expected to be back for the playoffs, and Downes who has sat out the last three suspended and should be as fresh as it is possible to be at this stage of the season.

I feel more confident than I did when we played WBA 2 years ago.

That forum of theirs is full of crackpots.

Someone wants us to be booted out of the playoffs and given a 12-point deduction next season. Bit OTT.

That is fair, but just these unbeaten runs just do not go on, and we have looked leggy recently (obviously). As you say, Downes being back (and rested) is massive

You need @Wade Garrett's rousing expletive-laden speech.

It is true. Who knew, I don't know but it was a Southampton analyst.

Can't be true, it was mentioned in the Daily Mail....right?

If it is true and he is connected to the club, we could be in hot water. This will be taken very seriously after what Leeds did.

We should all just be getting excited for the big game this weekend, not debating any consequences for cheating. I hope this isn’t true but Athletic saying there is CCTV evidence. Just disappointing and dominates the build up to the biggest game of the season.

There won't be any punishment beyond a fine. It's far too late to affect the league standings.

Bloody stupid thibg to do if true. Will have only succeeded in motivating their players.

as said, feel like the club will look pretty daft come sat afternoon. Remember the Derby players and fans loving it when they beat leeds after the same incident

Yeah, massive overreaction all round, including on here.

Yeah, so they are basically saying it's ok to do just not directly before the game.

It's their own fault for using their own training ground IMO.
