LGTL Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I also like how they’re discussing punishments including us forfeiting the first leg 3-0, excluded from the play offs entirely, 12 point deductions next season, playing the home leg with no fans etc etc. I never imagined coming across a fan base as fucking thick and mythical as Pompey, but crikey I think we’re close. 6

Proper weird bunch. Been fun mugging off some of their fans online that tried slating our numbers this season. Got Pompey level of delusions some of them cunts. I guess they’re the Bournemouth of the north. Newcastle and Sunderland have got each other and they’re the little noddy cousin.

Midfield_General Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Hi, apoplectic* Boro lurkers 👋 Can I just say that if the reaction of your fanbase to this joke of a story is representative of the way people from Middlesbrough cope with the tribulations of life in general then it’s no wonder that your city and indeed entire region is in such a state of irreversible decline Enjoy the game x (* That means ‘angry’) 6

EssEffCee Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Quote Southampton officials can be called to EFL headquarters and be told to give evidence should they deny the charge. It’s not infeasible that the entire senior management and coaching staff are asked to go to London on Monday and Tuesday, thus throwing their preparation for Tuesday night int chaos Honestly what world are they living in when they think the above might actually happen? Ffs 😂 6

die Mannyschaft Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Its a new rule since leeds spy drone at Derby that teams can watch an opposition within 72 hours of a match. Looks like a in good faith type agreement for clubs to abide by. Cant see any point for ang coach to watch a team unless they want to asses a player to put a transfer bid in. All games are available on YouTube or EFL highlights. We already know the Boro players, who can do what, thier tactics and how tgey play from the 2 leaque games. Saints could have just sent someone to watch Ipswich, Millwall, Hull and Boro in thier last 2 home or away games to spy official by buying a match ticket

Whitey Grandad Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This is from the Daily Mail: "Southampton sent a junior intern to allegedly spy on Middlesbrough’s training session ahead of their Championship play-off semi-final. Daily Mail Sport has learnt the identity of the employee in his early 20s who was caught in the bushes at Boro’s Rockliffe Park training ground this week. The individual at the centre of the ‘spygate’ storm has worked for Saints for nearly a year and is listed as a first-team analyst. He has worked at other Premier League clubs. His current job description includes the word ‘intern’, raising serious questions over why Southampton would instruct a junior member of staff to break EFL rules, if that was the case. The club have not commented, 24 hours on from Daily Mail Sport breaking the story of the sensational spying furore. The EFL are investigating and, if Boro’s allegations are proven, a substantial fine will likely be served as a minimum punishment. The sanction could yet be more severe, given clubs were clearly instructed not to spy on opposition training following the Leeds United spygate saga of 2019. The League introduced a new rule after Leeds were fined £200,000 when boss Marcelo Bielsa admitted to sending a colleague to snoop on Derby County’s training." There's a revealing slip in there, 'He has worked at other Premier League clubs.' 1 1

I doubt they have that much discretion. If it's in their regulations it would take something extraordinary to overturn it. Otherwise it would have been a shorter period from the start.

RedArmy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago To be fair it must be fucking awful to be a Boro fan. The manager you got rid of is currently 3rd in the Premier League and might get the job full time at one of the biggest clubs in the world. His replacement decided a guaranteed relegation from the Premier League was more interesting than carrying on at Boro. Then you finish 5th in a 2 horse race. All in less than 12 months. 5

By not reacting hastily we are seizing back control. Fuck ‘em.
