Lol? What?

For legal aid work, maybe. A top silk is charging 4 figures an hour for private work.

What they charge coming through where i work...

Depending on a range of circumstances they can charge between £500 and £2500 per hour plus VAT.

Depends on Chambers (higher in London) and types of cases.

Yep true, these are London-based.

On more interesting news....still waiting for a decision

r/Championship - r/Championship waiting for EFL to make a decision

Well, that's half of a trainee solicitor rate at a standard large law firm in London so it's either fixed-rate public work or these are junior local barristers or there's something weird going on!

Another day off? They had last weekend off as well.

We're at the point of checking hourly rates for legal aid or chamber renting or anal cleansing or something now.

Can't wait for this season to end at this point.

Hold on, i'd rather wait until saturday evening for it to end myself. I dont want us kicked out 😄

I worked for The Times (the fourth generation of my family to do so) just before Murdoch bought it and was very proud to do so as it was held in such high regard. When the takeover was announced the moral on the newspaper went through the floor as they new it was the end.

Yeah... and their spelling deteriorated too... ;)

Edit: damn... Beaten to it... Difficult to keep up with this thread!

I suppose if they're being paid by the EFL they might be limited on hours, goodness knows what a KC's hourly rate is now

All of this will be retained fixed fee rather than hourly, they are acting as arbitrators. Prestige on the day job.

Well it's about time for someone ITK to predict 'something big' at 2pm

Just wanted to pass this on.

My brother's mates nans acquaintance heard from the milkman's cousin that there may or may not be an update passed on to the press. They're suggesting we may have a big update on the case in an hour

I did actually have a session of colonic irrigation some 20 years ago but can’t recall how much they charged. Did the trick though so well worth the money.

From the Beeb- haven't seen this posted here yet:

Boro want Saints to be thrown out of the play-offs, arguing that spying on their preparation "goes to the heart of sporting integrity and fair competition".

If Southampton are found guilty - and they have not issued any kind of denial - then all options are on the table for the independent disciplinary commission.

The hearing began at 09:00 BST and a decision is expected later on Tuesday, but there is the chance it could drag on into Wednesday. It all comes down to how much time is needed for deliberations.

No-one can predict how this will end.

The whole reaction to this is mental isn’t it totally whipped up by Middlesbrough. It’s not even an offence in most of the football world is it?

My take on it is that the final will still go ahead on Saturday. Too many challenges to change it…& it would not be fair to Hull to change it.

The question is what happens if they rule against us and we appeal ??

He's referring back to an article he wrote 4 days ago, which I think ties in with Boro's "throwing toys out of pram" press release?

I honestly think the funniest thing would be if we had evidence that exonerated us and had just been sitting on it and staying silent letting boro wind themselves up in the press, just to present it at the hearing, get off scott free and then take them to the cleaners for defamation

If 'multiverse' theories are correct, this is very likely

Two Lesbians probably. Sisters. I'm just watching.

Oh you mean regarding the Independent Review. I'm still large fine and suspended points deduction. To be accurate £2.2 million fine and 3 points suspended. No Saints staff in trouble. Game on as planned.
