I don’t think we will be signing Falchener. Viking has no need to sell, and say they will do what they can to persuade him to stay and play in the CL with Viking.

Falchener says that he will only consider it if Viking accepts a bid, and it’s a dream come true to play in the CL with Viking. 

I also believe that when he does go, it will be to a bigger club. 

Would be a good signing if we could pull it off, though!

Unpopular opinion, but as someone who looked into him extensively when Alfie House mentioned him a few weeks back, He in my honest opinion is an upgrade on Taylor Harwood-Bellis. Much quicker, much taller, much stronger and slightly younger. Also very similar technically. Let's hope they can get him done if Taylor leaves

Yes, now that Viking can dangle the carrot of Champions League football, I think we'll struggle to prise him away even with an offer of a higher salary.

I think we're ok with the Vikings - they never got that far south. Barbary pirates from north Africa on the other hand hauled off a few slaves from Devon and Cornwall, which I think they did just to piss off Lowe.

Would love to see Edozie, BBD, Downs and Bazunu all depart. Add Archer to that on loan and I would be happy - think he has something to offer, but it’s taking too long now and he needs to move on. Add Stephens on loan and it’s a big cheer, but that’s not likely to happen.

The CB links are very exciting. JWP link is probably good business, but how will he fit in if Jander and Downes are still 1st choices in the team? I fear that tinkering and an unsettled squad may result. We’re still missing the essential quality striker in my opinion, plus a wide left/right attacker too.

Schlotterbeck -captain and experience "mentality monster"

JWP ex captain and experience 

Larin-experience 

Which is a spine of leadership and experience. You would hope with a few more of these types of players in the team that we will be less passive as a group and also that we will have a bit more nous and resilience about us.

I'm not sure Stephens leadership and experience are a good thing. He's had a wretched start to the season.

If he vaguely starts looking like the Blackburn and Sheff Utd version (first time around) then whoever he goes to might buy him in January for a couple of million. But can understand them wanting to look further at him first as his wages must be fairly hefty where he joined us in the PL.

BBD such a bizarre signing and that's not even with hindsight. In the rosy glow of a promotion summer before we had kicked a ball in the prem I remember thinking it was such a bizarre signing and not at the level we needed. Amazingly he was actually much worse than I thought and surpassed even my initial low expectations.

St.Marys Stadium sits directly over the site of one of the first big Viking raids in England; the "Sacking of Hamwic" 

Although the 'sacking' really didn't do a lot for Hamwic (old town was pretty much abandoned following this), the English probably actually won.

(What's really weird is that when they built St.Mary's and confirmed all this, they didn't excavate below the pitch, only the stands and footings. So all that history - including a properly ancient graveyard - is lying there under the feet of the players every game they play).
