He scored plenty of goals for Blackburn. He also did well at Sheffield United and Derby. For whatever reason he just hasn’t managed to perform for us.

Although the 'sacking' really didn't do a lot for Hamwic (old town was pretty much abandoned following this), the English probably actually won.

(What's really weird is that when they built St.Mary's and confirmed all this, they didn't excavate below the pitch, only the stands and footings. So all that history - including a properly ancient graveyard - is lying there under the feet of the players every game they play).

It was a Hampshire lad from Winchester that did for them in the end but he couldn't cook.

He had a purple patch for Blackburn but he was fairly crap for them before that.  He did pretty well for Sheffield United in that premier league season but wasn't that great for them in the Championship when we loaned him out and, yeah, for a winger, he did OK for Derby last time round. 
He's such a weird player and I go from feeling quite sorry for him to quite frustrated.  He's not really a winger in the traditional sense, he's got no pace, can't beat a player to save his life and I can't remember the last time I saw him put a cross in.  Good luck to him and I hope he gets a decent move but he's been extremely poor for us.

Yeah I agree.

He looks every bit the traditional center forward, physically, but isn’t.

i think he’s probably best suited to teams who don’t have as much possession, playing for us he’d be required to penetrate a low block fairly often and I haven’t seen 1 minute in 1 game where I thought he’d be able to take on a wing back or make a run in behind, or beat a man and stand up a cross of any quality.

I thought he was a good signing after his stint with Sheffield Utd in the prem and looking at his record, but he’s been absolutely abject to the point I feel genuinely sorry for him
