I assume we've heard nothing from the FA about their investigation.

Hopefully we've got someone lined up for when the inevitable happens with 1 week to go.

Why would anything further happen? Nothing further happened before and it's not really got anything to do with anyone else if the league have already dished out a ridiculously harsh punishment.

I respectfully disagree. The club has been punished but not him. I think a one year ban from managing in the PL would be fair.

Wouldn't surprise me if it went the way you  suggest but :  do you mean the PL , as opposed to EFL ?, do the FA have jurisdiction over the PL or EFL ? Also seems slightly bizarre that the FA might issue a ban on something that , to my knowledge, isn't specifically forbidden by the FA itself or PL..

Have wondered what the outcome might have been if ahead of an FA Cup tie where no specific ruling is in place.

At least we know it won't be Gary O'Neill at short notice.

But all yellow/red cards and suspensions etc are managed by the FA not the leagues.

So the thing you're making out is strange is precisely how the game is run here. The FA clearly have "jurisdiction" over the leagues.

If Tonda gets banned by the FA then it is in principle the same as another player getting banned for violent conduct or whatever.

Indeed, when you browse the FA disciplinary actions you see that they ban and fine all sorts of people for a mixed bag of things. The word that crops up as often as not is "misconduct".

But he has been punished. I would assume he was on a large bonus if he had got us up and a much-improved contract once he got there. The FA should say they have looked at the situation and, in view of the punishment already handed out by the EFL, no further action is required other than a warning about future conduct. I hope the club and its lawyers are saying the same thing.

They will not take anything like a potentially missed bonus into consideration when determening if he has been punished or not. Most likely, they won't even care if he has in some shape or form been punished. They will look at it from their angle, and they will find him guilty of som form of misconduct.

The way power works is that those in power tends to like to use it.

My only hope is that the punishment will be on the softer/shorter side.

Yes he has. If he gets any EFL ban the FA can f*ck off and I hope Saints lawyers hit back with everything they have got.

Good to see the ongoing interest in South Coast football from the Northern Echo, especially with their insightful breaking news here... 🤦🏼

New Vape shop opens in Middlesbrough...giving residents a distraction as they await the FA's decision on Tonda Eckhert.

Hope we ban some of these journos from St Mary's. It's getting beyond parody now, they're literally obsessed.

Saints should blank out any references to Boro in programme,  site, make coaches park miles away or even cancel game at short notice.

Make sure there is no toilet paper in bog as they are full of shit.
