I honestly think it will drag out until halfway through the autumn

If City lawyers are involved I wouldn't expect a decision until well into the next decade.

In fact given the time it is taking, I am inclined to believe that we have lodged an appeal and that is why we haven't heard anything.

You may well be right but I don't see why it can't be announced. If they've set the punishment and we've appealed why the need for secrecy?

Perhaps they keep it secret to avoid the inevitable media scrum with all its noise (seeking to influence the outcome?). Personally I’d rather they keep it private for the time being, as frustrating as it seems.

Exactly. And they won't want people panicking unnecessarily if they are still hopeful of a reduced punishment.

If it contributes to a siege mentality which helps push Saints into automatic promotion places, would it be seen as a sporting advantage 🤔

Need to string it out until such time as he is no longer our manager!

I can see that if we make a bad start to the season our leaders will lose all interest in defending Tonda. The FA will probably lose all interest too…..

If the FA follow the Chelsea route then it'd be a suspended sanction in a few years time. But then it isn't Chelsea or City so the FA blazers will probably want to kick one of the smaller fry.

Has there been a run on plain brown envelopes?
