SuperSAINT Posted 30 September, 2010 Author Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Good signing if true. Still pretty young isn't he? 25, I think. In need of a career rebuild. I'd be pleased if it's happening.

Ludwig Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Yeah, always liked him too. Glad to see him returning, will add a lot of options to our midfield.
SuperSAINT Posted 30 September, 2010 Author Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Was linked with Blackpool before the window shut, so a bit of a coup for league 1 IMO.
The Kraken Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 If he's anywhere near the player he was with us previously this would be a fantastic signing.
Saint Billy Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Rated him, very industrious, would be a good move, but, get a winger as well please...

keithd Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Would be delighted to see this happen. And should we get promotion maybe a permanent signing next season please
stevegrant Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Would be good if he's anywhere near the player he was when he was here previously, but by all accounts he's been crap for Preston in the last year or two. A move could be what he needs.
Weston Saint Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Decent time with us previously. His 3 year contract with Preston runs out in January 2011. Could be loan now with an option to sign in January? Solent are near to the club so if they are saying that on twitter it just might be true

Window Cleaner Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Decent time with us previously. His 3 year contract with Preston runs out in January 2011. Could be loan now with agreement with an option to sign in January? Solent are near to the club so if they are saying that on twitter it just might be true Would be a good signing really because we'll have to let Morgan go in January if we aren't there or thereabouts in the promotion hunt. SuperMikey Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 (edited) He was certainly very good when he was here before, would be a great signing in league one. Has gone off the boil a bit in the last few years, but dropping a level and playing regularly in an 'easier' league could be what he needs to get kickstarted again. Very astute loan signing if true, very impressed with that. Edited 30 September, 2010 by SuperMikey

Yorkshire Saint Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Good signing if he plays as he can .... suprised by just the one month though
Smirking_Saint Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Cracking signing, just what we need. I am f*cking well happy with this. Now all we need is another striker and perhaps a winger, but this goes a long long way. Happy days
Lighthouse Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Brilliant news. If he's half the player he was in '06 I'll be delighted. If not, well you can't go far wrong with a month loan.

The Kraken Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Good signing if he plays as he can .... suprised by just the one month though "Initial" 1 month, as stated on the OS. Sounds like we'll probably have an option to extend.

Saint Charlie Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Good signing if he plays as he can .... suprised by just the one month though Normal for initial loans, can then be extended til Jan. Great signing, will start v Tranmere I reckon as Morgan away with France U21s. Hammond 4 bookings and Wotton injured....

Arizona Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 29 starts in CCC last season, 3 assists, 2 goals TBF, Oakley was pretty pants in his last season with us, then lead Derby to promotion the following season. Schneiderlin and Morgan were both poor in our last CCC outing. A fresh start and a new team could do him the world of good. If not, well it's 1 month so it's not the end of the world. Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Excellent news. Just need a striker now, IMO. A winger, too, would be nice but I can't help thinking a striker is what we also really need. The "initial" bit sounds promising. NA says he needs to assess his fitness & to see how he is so I guess it's probably something we can extend easily, if he does well.
sammysaint Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 I think were be playing 451 chelsea style hammond ms and chaplow in the middle with puncheon and lallana given free roles on the wing with lambert upfront

chrisobee Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 I liked him when he was with us, a one month contract shouldn't be an issue as I'm sure there will be an option to extend it. At this level I think he's an excellent addition to the squad.
doddisalegend Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 I really don't remember him from last time, but any sort of signing is welcome right now anything that might shake the team up and get things going. Good to see Adam trainning in the background behind our new signing on the O/S too. A fit Lallana will make a lot of difference to the team

PokingFun Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 Interesting that he played a lot of games last year for them and it seems that for whatever reason Ferguson doesn't fancy him and therefore he has been placed on the transfer list. There is no suggestion that he has lost any ability as he played 30 odd games last year so in L1 he should be very good for the division and a possibility of permanent if he does well given his transfer status. Slight doubt is the comment about having injuries to overcome last year but a risk well worth taken with a young, proven player from a higher division. rooney Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 A decent player with us before. He also came back after his loan finished previously, to do the traditional lap of honour at the last game of the season. Good attitude.

OldNick Posted 30 September, 2010 Share Posted 30 September, 2010 he is one of the few ex player loans who came back and was given a good reception by the fans. He even came back and did a lap of honour with, the team on the last day of a season. Again not pacey but a willing worker for the team. Quite happy with that one. Not sure how he will fit in with Guly if he is going to be in centre midfield though
