Nah. Im not slating him, but hes been the boo boy of a section of fans for a while and clearly wanted out imo. Good move for him and club imo. Dunno what people will do now he and wooton have gone.

A good move in january perhaps, but we have two fit clear wingers now. Holmes isn't good enough in my opinion, even if he was fit.

Trying to think of a positive spin on this. According to

http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10367~2222486,00.html

They have had 4 injuries to attacking players. Maybe this is only a 1 month deal (though as many suspect I can see it being permanent in January) and if is only a 1 month emergency deal maybe he will come back firing on all cylinders following a month in the Championship.

Worth a try wasn't it?

I don't think he'll ever play for us again

I personally think people should be showing leftback a hell of a lot more respect. Puncheon has been gash for ages though and to be honest if he did have a big argument maybe he is too much of a bad influence to have around.

I personally think the fact he was right about this means I won't be commenting on his accusations/insinuations again.

tbf we still have time to sign a replacement ourselves on an emergency loan, just seems like quite a lot of pressure to be heaped on Chambo's shoulders all of a sudden. I hope he's not injured, as he was subbed at HT in the international tonight. If he is, we've just made one heck of a cock up.

I only saw him play live twice and on tv a few times and my opinion of him was that he didn't really add anything to the team as he was too unpredictable and erratic, and didn't work hard enough when we needed to defend (might be a harsh assessment, but I can only go on what I saw). Unless we get hit with a bunch of injuries ourself, then I don't think he will be missed.

I hardly think we could get in an "emergency" loan having ourselves just loaned out JP.

The emergency would be covered by us recalling him.

No, this is the squad we have until January

All loans between 1st September and the November loan deadline are classed as "emergency loans".

Chaplow, Bignall, Puncheon, Pulis, Saville, Wotton etc etc are all emergency loans.

None of us know what Saints are planning, for all we know they may have replacement(s) lined up already, may be using a change of system etc etc so to comment on this is a little premature. Puncheon hasn't been anywhere near as effective as Chamberlain, he is on a large wage and would not be happy sitting on the bench. He hasn't played much part in a Saints team for the last 4 games.

Even without Puncheon - Lallana, Holmes, Guly Do Prado, Dickson, Chamberlain and even some of the development and under 18 team wingers should be adequate until January and if not, the emergency loan window is still open!

You gotta love opinions, they can be so polarised.

Half the forum wanted Puncheon out, he's gone and half are slitting their wrists at the news.

Chill, we have cover, Lallana can play on the right as well as the left which leaves Richardson & Holmes as cover on the left for a few weeks.

very good player, slated because he was the one who would try to beat the last defender or open defence with a cleaver ball through - which inevitably doesn't always work. Excellent ball control.

Admitedly form not great but ridiculously poor support from "fans"

Maybe the replacement is lined up, but Alex does create a problem in how you bring in someone to act as bit part. AOC will be first choice, but unlikley to play 90 mins, so there if there is no space for a real first choice wide MF. If that means just another squad player, thats unlikely to be any improvement on Punch. Have to wait and see, but risk is the side will be weaker not stronger.

If Puncheon has been causing trouble with his attitude towards Adkins, then he is not needed at the club. We need players who play for the shirt. I doubt Puncheon ever did- and thus he is not needed. No point having him if he doesn't care about us.

Lefback seems to spot on with his posts - now with what he revealed about Lambert I am concerned

His level of accuracy suggests he's getting his information directly from the 'inner circle' at the club. Worst case is that there is a disgruntled player at the club leaking this information.

If it's not a player (or coaching/medical staff) who else can it be? It must be someone who hears team news directly from Nigel Adkins, surely? Who else does Adkins reveal team news to in advance other than this close knit group of people?

Terrible, absolutely terrible. I am pretty f*cked off this week, i just can't see AOC turning in the same performances week after week if he starts, he looks much more effective coming on from the bench for me. (baring the other night when he scored twice admitidly).

I really don't get how so many people think Puncheon was crap, he gives so much balance to the team, works hard, tracks back, puts in a good tackle and has outstanding ball control. He often to me looks the only one that can make things happen, he certainly did when Lallana was out of the team. Unfortunately his runs and passes were not being picked up by his team mates and this made him look bad, but things don't happen unless you try !!

If it is an internal matter however and there has been a bust up then i can accept that it is best if he is away, if not, and he is off i certainly hope we have a replacement lined up.
