From 35 mins, 55 Seconds.

Poor old Bompey fans, this really does show how sad they are. Booing our boys as they got off the coach, "Dodgy Keeper" aimed at Super Kelv (how ironic).

Good old Nigel bigging us up!

The whole feature had the feel of one of those specials that are done when the non league team gets a big team in the Cup. eg All the interviews with the Bompey fans with the face paint, the weird looking ex hippy, thekids singing, the old dear cheering on the Cherries etc etc. It could have beem subtitled Bournemouth - the town that style forgot.

Strange that they decided to analyse the Gobern sending off (and agreed they could not add anything to it) but did not even mention that the ref overruled the linesman for the Bompey goal.

The gobern sending off was a real scratch your head moment and it's really difficult to figure out what he was trying to do? It didn't look like he was trying to hurt anyone though but it was an obvious sending off.

The offside goal was a clearance from us that hit 1 of our players so the ref was right to over turn it IMO.

I don't disagree. It was strange however that the offside & the overruling of the linesman never got a mention.

Don't see why people agree that their goal should stand because it came off one of our players ? A deflection doesn't count the player that the ball comes off must be in "control" of the ball first for it to stand !

36:32.... "come on the cherries" from the grinning, face-painted moron is a particular highlight

I think the old gentleman who says he was there when Saints last visited in the league was a little confused in saying Bournemouth won as the record books clearly show we won 3-1...........lying old ***** :-)

And turning up with cherrys face painted on you looks just so so wrong !

giggled right at the begining when the fella at the ground called them Eddie Howes Bournemouth side, bit behind the times fella

ususal carp coveridge though

When was this then? The only reference was to the fact that Howe had departed, but was the architect of where they are now. And I think a reference to "Eddie Howe's former team" right at the beginning.

You can't accuse coverage of being crap if you can't even be bothered to listen. Mark Clement follows football league clubs all season and has done for years so I bet knows a hell of a lot more about lower division football than you do.

It wasn't deflected as I first thought. Fonte tried to clear it, it hit Butterfield and fell to a Bompey player.

The assistant referee was correct, Andre Mariner got it wrong (how unusual). The laws of the game and the International Board decisions clearly state that it is an offside offence if a player gains advantage by being in an offside position. Gaining an advantage means ""playing a ball that rebounds to him off a post or the crossbar having been in an offside position or playing the ball that rebounds to him off an opponent having been in an offside position". There is nothing in the laws or the clarifications from the IB about control etc. The goal should definitely have been disallowed. But hey, who cares, we won 3-1.

The dodgy keeper chant couldn't work out if it was them to Kelv or saints to forecast

The booing of players getting off the coach must just make the team talk so much easier

It worked for Jalal though.

you cant be offside if it is played by the oppo, as was this case.

If our lads were in amy doubt as to what this meant to the Bompey fans then this single event must have confirmed it.

I bet NA couldn't believe his luck, to have a pre match pep talk presented on a plate!

As to Lee Bradbury trying to assert that this fixture is as much of a rivalry as us V skates? What was he on?

If any Bompey fans are reading and feeling a little low you can contact the Samaritans on 0800 202031 that's 2-0, 2-0, 3-1.

That is all.

If a player is in an offside position and the opo defender plays a poor ball back to the keeper. Would the attacker be offside? Im sure that your comment is based on the ball being played by the attacking team in which case yesterday Fonte passed the ball to the attacker via Butterfield so made the decission correct?

The main reason to get out of this league is so that when someone shows highlights of our games, they do so through a broadcast quaility camera from the correct angles and not via an eight-year old's iPhone at the back of the stand...

Strange that they could have a decent camera filming Clem with a Director of Photography, accurate lighting and a proper edit, but they couldn't be arsed to do the same with the game...

MESSAGE to football programme editors:

I don't give a feck what Brian in Brighampton thinks about Peterborough's chances of lifting the Champions' League in 20 years time.

I don't give a feck what Clem says about the last time a chip shop burnt down preventing the home fans from enjoying a Saveloy on the way home.

I don't give a flying feck if Steve Claridge played for Weymouth or AC fecking Milan.

I am a football fan. I want to watch FOOTBALL...

To understand how I feel, let's show eight laps of the Grand Prix and two hours of Eddie Jordan shopping in Bahrain high street...

I thought the coverage was hilarious at the beginning - any real Bournemouth supporter must have been cringeing in embarassment - a really bad way to end a bad day. I loved the booing of the opposition players as they get off the coach - a great way to get them wound up and play better against you.

What? Bornemouth did not play the ball forwards so there is no way it could've been offside. Very lucky ricochet but a great finish.

They didn't show the Bournemouth penalty appeal either... very strange.

Ridiculous coverage. Talk to some saddo with a pair of boll@cks on their faces but don't spend 5 seconds showing one of the most controversial moments of the game....

It wasn't a penalty, that is why they didn't show it.

i think you need to check the rules mate, a player is not off side if the ball comes off a defending player, defelection, intercepted backpass or whatever. It was a goal. nothing wrong with it.

As usual Skate Claridge found it extremely hard to comment on the positives with saints and concentrated on an incident Goberns rush of blood to the head. Impartial reporting my arse. Week after week its the same.

This will not detract from a great day out yesterday `oustanding` giving so much back to the pathetic teenage Bouremouth fans after all thier petty scummer comments under thier breath around the ground yesterday, so brave.

sheer joy

Theres nothing like a good away game.

He's a local tramp. He's usually down at the speedway on a Wednesday peering in through the fence .

Back in the Keegan era he would always be outside The Dell and come and stand at the back of the Lower West Stand for the last 10 minutes when they opened the gates.

Was always on the same train as me coming back. He is supposedly an eccentric who is quite well off.
