Dibling gets his dream move to a big club

No mate, did you not hear - he's been packed off to fucking Everton 🤣🤣🤣

Poor bastard.

But if some desperate gimps are actually going to pay £42m plus 20% sell-on for a kid coming up to a year left who's career total is 2 goals and 2 assists, then you're going to mug them off for it aren't you?

Not yet, that's his next move.

Dibling has potential to be 5x the player Fernandes is but right now thats just potential.

I would have loved Dibblers to stay but he threw the towel in 2nd half of last season and wanted out. For that alone we needed to have got rid as soon as Everton made their first bid.

According to journalists we went cap in hand to EFC after they had walked away from the deal, in which thankfully they went through with the deal.

Unfortunately clubs will now know we have cash on the hip and will have us over pay for our own targets. A spectacular cock up from this useless board of ours.

The only thing going in their favour is keeping hold of Fernandes.

It's fairly obvious the big boys are going to wait and see how Tyler does for Everton. If he does well they'll be gathering like vultures next summer and we won't have to wait long for our sell on percentage. Also wonder if his agent will insist on a release clause. This all smells like a stepping stone type move.

Great piece of business by the club. Extracted another 5-7m from Everton and a big sell on clause - for a player who didnt want to sign a new contract.

A super player yes, but not convinced he would have had a big impact for us in the Championship - especially if his desired PL move didnt happen

Most importantly its about reinvesting it wisely to improve us in the final third

It might be higher but there's no way they will pay close to £50m

So the club has sold a talented young player for big money,  which is our club’s plan to move forward. That said please for the love of god can we add to the starting 11 and not more bloody squad fillers that contribute nothing but frustrating cameos and are hard to shift later. 1-2 quality players rather than 3-5 substandard replacements

I'm sure the club have a promising youngster from the German league lined up for about £7M

What on Earth is so good about Dibling??? A boring petulant teenager sums him up! ... As a winger he's scored 2 goals for Saints in the Premier and Championship leagues, and Everton are prepared to pay £42,000,000!!!! ... Bring it on as long as all the money is invested wisely on new players!!!

how on earth have you come to that conclusion?

The only thing I will say is that Dibling is badly advised if he is going to Everton. Even Moyes has said Everton have struggled to sign players because they are not in Europe. There is little prospect of them getting into Europe in the foreseeable future. Bad move for him. Otherwise, I wish him well.

Would only have been £35m if he wore his socks up high...nothing screams 'potential' more than low socks and having a sulk on.  Good business.

Got to laugh at people suggesting Everton is a bad move.

A good club, very good manager, not gong to get relegated and not in the glare of the top 4/6.

This is a great move for him, if anything

To fight relegation for a second season - I would imagine that is a beating he doesn’t need.

He's young so more money and more Premier League experience. If West Ham go down they'd be forced to sell him and he'd probably have a release clause anyway.

Everton being used as guinea pigs by the big boys - if Tyler is brilliant they'll all swoop next summer.

Have to say I’m very unbothered about him leaving and especially for that kind of money. Added plus that @Coastal is happy and hopefully won’t be posting on here any more now he has his man.

Decent deal that for a lad that cost us nothing. Interesting to know if he pushed for the deal or his agent. When the next wonder kid breaks through they have dreams of playing for the top 4, not Everton.

As someone else said, he either has an absolute stormer and we end up getting another £10+ million further down the line when he goes to a big club, or he stinks the place out and we’ve had their pants down for 40 odd million.

I wouldn't be so certain about that. Did you not see how fucking abysmal they were against Leeds on Monday night?

Yes, but far too early to judge anything.

We were largely abysmal against Wrexham, but no one would suggest we would do well to finish mid table...

Abysmal whilst generating the highest xG of the entire EFL in GW1. Frustrating game as it was, we were not abysmal, just found the breakthrough way later than desired. Ref does his job properly and we would have had 2 pens too.

Happy with this. Yes we lose a prospect but with PSR this sale makes a lot of sense. It might help us get what we want for Mat now. Good luck to Tyler, Everton aren't the club I'd have personally picked but with Palace rumoured to have been sniffing around it might have forced Everton's hand a bit.

Anyway we have JRob so we march on.

Appears that we softened our asking price considerably and went back to Everton today with our tail between our legs. So fuck knows what we were originally asking for if we’ve sold him for over £40m!

Only what Paul Joyce is reporting, and he’d know from an Everton perspective.

I think he’ll go the same way as both Alcaraz and Lavia.
we get good fees, they were both huge prospects…..but really haven’t shone at their prospective new clubs. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I just have a suspicion that Dibling will get lost at Everton. Can't say what tangible evidence that's based on but, just a feeling.

Not the same career stage but anybody else getting Steve-Williams-to-Arsenal vibes?

Guess we'll have to take his word for it then. Of course it could easily be a bit of propaganda from the Everton hierarchy to make them look smart 🙂

But they have bought potential. Tyler is 19 and yes, he has bags of natural ability but remains to be seen how good he will become. I'm delighted with £42m including add-ons and a good sell on agreement.

If we had done that deal in reverse, i.e. bought him for that people on here would be raging. How many have we bought for potential and they've come to nothing. Good deal and dare I say it from what I saw last season good riddance.

Yeah Saints crumbled and finally listen to Michael Dawson and reduced the asking price significantly. You need to believe that you scouse cunts

We probably remembered we only got 12 points last season, so thought we better almost give him away.

Nope. Steve Williams was already one of the best midfielders in the first division and everyone knew it when he joined Arsenal. There was no potential about him because he was already very very good and had already proved it match after match in proper football like what they used to play back then. Tyler is potentially an excellent player but nowhere near delivered at top level English football what Williams had. Our captain as well !

Getting huge money for Dibling is good, I'm fine with it since it'll get reinvested - just whether those investments turn out well and I hope they do.

Potter is the same manager as Martin - said it last year when all and sundry seemed to want him in.

Dibling another Academy success story who has gone on to bigger things, like Bale, Walcott, Ox-C, Lallana, Danny Mountain...

Can't be fked with him. Seen far too many Saints academy kids leave too young and never live up to their potential, he's yet another. But thanks for the £.
