Missed an open goal there with the plain back, I don’t get it. That said, I reckon

white looks better than red.

Just a thought, but would a plain back be cheaper to manufacture than stripes ?

And just for a moment I was gonna get a new saints top, first time in years , then they ruin it as per with a plain back! Some  people don’t care, they just don’t get tradition and just the fact it looks better with a black number in red and white (in my humble opinion). 
we have this knack of just getting it wrong every year, why is it so difficult and who keeps making it so????!

obviously its not confirmed and am hoping it is stripes at the back, just have to wait and see but if these leaks are true then it just feels like another opportunity missed to sell a huge amount of nice shirts as it looks great from the front , just leaves a bit of a sour taste or that three walls of a room have been painted and the 4th wall just left as it was!

Because if they make a really nice shirt with a historically and aesthetically pleasing design then lots of people will buy it creating more revenue for OUR club as without the fans there ceases to be a club. If you design something that is crap or at best a half finished mish mash then people won’t! 
Tradition actually means something to a lot of people. 
Nobody is wetting themselves and there’s nothing wrong with voicing an opinion , from what I have read on here most people are just annoyed as a nice design seems to have been ruined once again, if you like the shirt with a plain back then that’s up to you but don’t criticise those who don’t.

Most fans will have a strong view on the kit their teams trots out in, mostly based on ‘tradition’ and maintaining that.

I’d like to see a more traditional kit, and if it is going to pay homage to the 1976/7 shirt then should do so fully. That said I wouldn’t look to wear it myself, though understand many others  do.

It’s an age thing I’m sure but I see plenty who I’d put in the ‘old enough to know better camp’ doing it, sometimes older than me.

The colour blue in those images is almost identical to the blue P&O use in their corporate logo as well, which would be a nice tie in. 

I know this is silly but whenever I see Atletico's kit it reminds me of the US flag and all the painful US Flag outfits people wear on commemoration days etc. I prefer black shorts so as to not fire this association as often 😆

On that note I'd never buy a kit with a gambling sponsor on it, too many relatives / people I know have had their lives ruined or had massive problems from gambling addiction. All this online stuff just turbo charges it, it's no good at all.

They never list them with badges etc, but they arrive with it all on.

Ditto. They banned Beer from Footy shirts but allow sponsors that might as well be advertising Laudanum or crystal meth, does as much damage.

In fairness, the training tops last year had Draper Tools on them, but the retail versions did not.

My eldest really liked the yellow (new forest inspired) and red one from the last promotion season - sometimes they're really just nice sports tops, and crucially no sponsors is a big plus.

In truth, so far most of what Puma have released has been utter garbage (i much preferred Hummel), although the away shirt wasn't bad this season (or at least for the kids without the betting logo on it).

Yup, some of them (like that yellow one) are really cool and, in my humble opinion, much better purchases than the actual match shirts.
