Possible for your connection to double check and confirm? Just finished listening to the TSP and Alfie’s comments are interesting that the club are not sure of it! Wonder if it’s just his agent trying to drum up some interest maybe?

We've 100% made a bid. I think the club are just trying to keep it under wraps as they are desperate to get the deal done on the quiet (hence nobody at the UK end carrying the story) before any other club has the chance to nip in. I think it'll be done within the coming days.

It's not that odd really. My GF frequently tells me she's not sure whether it's gone in or not.

Be careful - we had a shot first half that I thought had gone in the goal but hit the back of the net from behind…you don’t want that, or do you…😉😁😁

Spertsyan plays for a Russian Club.

Due to sanctions, you can't just put a bid in for a player.

Are there ways to get a player from Krosnador?

Well PSG managed it, but they are under EU law and we're under UK law so there may be differences.

I mentioned it the other day.

Get Gozteppe to buy him (Turkey does not have sanctions), then send him out on loan to us with a optional buy fee.

I think in the end he will stay at Krasnodar, where he has been all through the youth setup, and probably sign a new contract there.

Possibly, but he said he wanted to move to a bigger league, so seemed to be welcoming a move in this window.

@Barsiem Thanks for posting this, what statement are they referring to?

As I announced a few days ago, Southampton has offered 12.5M€ to Krasnodar for Eduard Spertsyan ! The offer and documents officially arrived today at Krasnodar. The Russian club is considering the English club’s offer. #Spertsyan

Not exactly keeping it under wraps considering you somehow appear to know about it 🙂

Well maybe they shouldn't if the club are trying to keep transfer info under wraps - loose lips sink ships and all that.

What a load of bollocks. Keeping it quiet my arse. We all know about it, it's in Russian media and some random Armenian bloke on twitter. It's not a secret.

Maybe have a chat with Alfie House about what the club have told him on this.

Alfie's sources are likely people working at the club but that doesn't mean they know everything about transfers. The idea that we are keeping it quiet and clubs don't know about him is obviously rubbish because even random fans know about him!

Wingers we’ve scouted recently: Fellows (WBA), Sima (Brighton), Abdoulie Manneh (Mjallby), Carlos Vicente (Alaves), Dominik Fitz (Austria Vienna), Tyreece Campbell (Charlton), Lewis Koumas (Liverpool).

Quite some variation in the type of players there but did some YouTube scouting last night and like the look of a few of them.  Fellows is obviously very good for this league and would be first choice if money wasn't an issue but I quite liked Sima and Carlos Vicente.  Sima looks raw but he's got pace, power and seems to have done pretty well in most of his loan spells.  Last year of his contract too.  Vicente looks like he runs all day, works hard and has a good cross - kind of blueprint for the types of qualities Still seems to want.

I don't disagree with any of that but the original source clearly stated that the club is trying to keep this info under wraps - if so perhaps we should respect that. You are entitled to disagree of course.

Its absolutely laughable isnt it. International sportsmen with deals worth 10s of millions all of which have agents with contacts across the world and people seriously believe there are a whole host of secret phone calls and meetings taking place where only a handful of people in the world know about it. that they can keep it away from any other club who might be interested by not telling a local journalist at a in Southampton who works for a newspaper read by about 50k people 😂

Bit like people who think young players should sign up for years on low wages because they or their agents or families are so stupid they've got no idea what other young players are worth.

Perhaps we should respect though Turkish that that club want to keep this under wraps. The fact you're talking about this now could scupper the deal.

I'm looking forward to this Armenian moving somewhere in Europe in a week or two and us going for a slightly lesser light around about the same time. No doubt some on here will be bitterly complaining that chat on here is what ruined the transfer. If only we'd kept quiet and respected the club's secret squirrel tactics!

Sounds like Grealish is going to Everton on loan, not sure if that impacts the Dibling deal at all.

But there have been a few deals mooted in the press today, so the transfer window is slowly building up to the rush period

I think someone on here or Twitter said that because Krasondar aren't state owned / don't hav any affiliation with the state it is ok. Then again Abramovich whilst having links to Putin wasn't a state owner and he had to sell up so who knows!

Have they paid us for Shea's loan yet?

Any money we give to wednesday is ultimately money chansiri pockets when he sells (at a loss regardless), same guy that publically went after saints and declared war on us. I've got nothing but sympathy for Wednesday fans - but they are going down, will be sold (they are too big a club to fail), and will likely wind up in administration at some point along the way - my sympathy doesn't stretch so far as to helping their sleezeball owner hang on any longer or getting any more money than needs be. We also aren't a charity, and don't need to be doing any more mara deals.

You've obviously misunderstood me.

I didn't suggest that we overpay. I suggested that we shouldn't take advantage of them. I'd be disappointed if we tried to do the latter.

Re Wednesday, yes, very sad for the fans and not nice seeing what is traditionally a big club fall so far. Hope they get decent ownership.

Just goes to show Alfie doesn't have contacts in the recruitment team and is fed by the media team if and when at the appropriate time

I would have thought that this ends the Dibling to Everton move but wouldn't rule out Spurs popping up as they are always a bit annoying like that and are probably after someone like Dibling given the need for bodies and their renowned 'flair' (they keep telling us). Bloody hope not, though, and that we have him for next season. If so, might mean we cool off on our pursuit of Spertsyan or suddenly discover permit problems etc

We should have used a smokescreen to divert people off the scent

if only we’d pretend we were in for Grealish we could have duped all the other clubs in the world as to our real target and swooped in for the Armenian geezer before him or his agent knew what was going on

I wouldn’t be surprised if Spurs went for Grealish and scuppered the Everton deal.  Especially now they’ve lost Maddison.  Grealish is mustard as a 10 as well as on the wing.

Can’t see Levy paying £300k a week or whatever he’s on

Still a bit of a risk but it was the reason why PSG went for Safonov because Krasondar aren't linked to anyone on the naughty list.

The big issue is around payments and how it is transferred to Russia, in a nutshell you can't hold anything more than £87,000 (or 100,000 euros) for an individual or unsanctioned company based in Russia, but UEFA have been encouraging clubs to use escrows to get round this (which still might be illegal under sanctions..).

Wouldn't see this level of blatant disclosure on the CoT, who know how to pass along information, while keeping it quiet.

Most importantly, any chance Fernandes is staying? What’s the current likelihood? Played really well in the second half on Saturday and looked to be enjoying himself. If he stays he’ll be one of the best, and quite possibly THE best, midfielder in this year’s Championship.

Now Forest know they're in the Europa league they'll start pushing ahead with their transfer targets. Make of that what you will
