Relegated by Sunday night?

So as I calculate it, we can be relegated by this Sunday evening. 

If we lose against Palace tonight, Wolves beat Ipswich on Saturday, and then we lose against Spurs on Sunday, then we'll be on 9 points and Wolves will be on 32 points, meaning we'll be 23 points behind them with only 7 games/ 21 points left to play for. 

I think that would set another exciting new PL record, as no-one's been relegated before with seven left to play? Derby went down earlier by date in 2007/8 (they went down on the 29th March), but only had six matches left at that point. Huddersfield also went down earlier by date in 2018/19 (30th March), but they also had six left.  

Roy Castle would be proud of this side.

a few more heavy defeats and we can break the worst goal difference too we're on -49 record is -69 so 21 needed, should be easily doable with 9 games left but we're currently on course for -64 on current form so the lads need to sort this one out

I always remember when we played Derby last day of the season years ago, when we were comfortably safe and they'd already been relegated, and they pumped us 6-1

If you have to be relegated, this is the way to do it. Remember it is the hope that kills. We have had no hope since the Advent calendars appeared. No heart breaking moments like we endured in 2005. No endless analysis of the fixture list working out possible permutations. 

Being so crap means that we have been able to prepare for life in the Championship for several months now. Every cloud has a silver lining. 😁

I think in our first relegation from the old First Division, we were already down when we went to Goodison Park, scene of our normal defeats, and won 3-0!!

Perhaps we could do something similar and spoil the last game at Goodison, this season.

I don't think relegation being "confirmed" will makes any difference.

It was confirmed before kick off last night, it was confirmed before we kicked off against Wolves. No one went into those games thinking we could still stay up.
