Don’t have to see Line-acre presenting MOTD either after this weekend. Not that I’ll watch it much next season.

So,that’s over too.

I haven't watched it at all this season, I've avoided MOTD like the plague. In fact any football review/highlights programme has been muted in my house, this season has really muted my enthusiasm and interest in wider football generally. As soon as 5pm hits on a Saturday I've had enough of football for the rest of the week.

Thanks Saints.

I think this is the sad reality for many of us.

Look at any players who are potential assets, who are leaving and don’t play them. With our luck AR and MF do their cruciates in the last game and we’re lumbered with them

I genuinely don't care. The only thing irritating thing is having to travel down from London (and back) with Arsenal fans who are as annoying in real life as they are online.

They are born with a permanent arrogant sneer.

I believe so. They have had to change their name and suffered a bit of a tragedy with one of their main contributors.

These cunts are about to face the wrath of the Saints - with a full-throttle St Mary’s behind a team that can barely string three passes together

Great title, sums up the season.

One last hurrah boys

Or is it:

'This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.'

So the worse season we’ve ever endured is finally coming to an end.

For those of you still attending, please, please please don’t embarrass us further by applauding the cretins on a lap of honour. The stadium needs to be empty for it, and better still the players should be getting some serious abuse. As should Sport Republic.
On that subject, when is the next fan forum?

In a naming rights issue kind of way or a witness protection kind of way?

In that they didn’t have permission from the club to use the name Arsenal is my understanding. So naming rights.

I don't normally swear but, you must be ****ing joking!

Can we come up with any special chants for the last game? I'm in the Itchen so have a few ideas for SR..

But for the team something like "attack, attack, attack" followed by the crowd collapsing into cynical laughter?

I’ve now received the email about not running on the pitch twice now.

What the hell’s the matter with people at this club?

At a guess, I’d say they don’t want you on the pitch.

Given that the club sent out a narky/cocky tweet to Derby when we got to 12 points, I suspect they believe the fans will be excited to celebrate 12 points.

Only reason I'm bothering to go is to have a nice cathartic boo at the end

I reckon the club are hoping the u21s win the cup tonight so they can send them on the pitch to parade it at the same time as the first team do their lap of appreciation

I was so annoyed with that that I actually replied to it, even if it probably disappeared into some void.

Makes me wonder how many people are in the same boat. The players have been afforded almost ceaseless support - with the only noteable ire directed at managers. We've had excellent takeup on home & away tickets throughout.

Is it admirable? Or acceptant to a fault?

Either way, there can't be too many qualms if the crowd turns on the precious darlings once the season's over.

Just seen a vid on FB feed of the club rolling out THB, Manning and Lallana to make phone calls to the most loyal fans. WTF - can you actually belief the people called were very polite and full of praise and thanks? I was thinking, if Manning phoned me he’d get both barrels, but then I thought hang on, it’s not his fault he’s shite, it’s the fault of the idiot(s) picking him week in week out.

Surprised you left out the 0-9 given our track record.

Hope Ramsdale has a worldly performance then

Just listening to Rusk’s pre-match presser. Everything points to him playing 5 at the back again and inviting pressure. With no THB and no Bednarek, there’ll be a right dog’s dinner of a defence.  Also probably means no Tall Paul so we’ll not score a goal. It’s another disappointing game on the horizon for Saints fans I predict.

It's very sad, it sounds like we also won't get to see KWP one more time and I've wasted my time making a Albert Grønbæk can I have your shirt sign :(

"Interim manager Simon Rusk has confirmed Southampton will be without a number of key players when Arsenal visit St Mary's for the final game of the season on Sunday."

Oh no! Not our key players! Wherever would we be this season without them?!

Glad to be missing this one.

Despite having a season ticket and doing a handful of aways, I’ve seen us pick up 1 single point this season. Dross.

"Once we moved past the points record"

The points record ... sounds like they got 100 points in the premier league. Sorry, THE POINTS RECORD?

FFS.

ARGH

I REALLY hate this team so much.

No. Have never seen the point of names on the back of shirts (especially adults).
