Feel for Arsenal they battled hard.  Much as everyone doesn’t want to like PSG I enjoy watching them and I love Kvaratskhelia hes a wonderful footballer who doesn’t rely on speed and strength like so many do, used to see him At Napoli and think he was a rolls Royce destined for the very top.
that said a club owned by an oil industry win again, decisions went their way, probably deserved it on the balance of the game

Players that do those stupid stuttered run ups in penalty shootouts and miss deserve the pain of losing. Letting your fans down by being a complete bellend.

Rashford in the Euro final springs to mind.

I’d love to see a stat for them they seem to miss more than they score. Just pick your spot and hit it

What an abysmal final, poor from both sides. Arsenal bottled it and didn't give their stars like Saka the chance to shine - went all the way to the final then didn't turn up and were too afraid to go for it. They must be regretting now that they didn't have a real go.

Not sure the TNT Sport commentators watched the same game as I did. Full of praise for the Arsenal performance but they did nothing after they scored?

What ever happened to a player sprinting up to the ball and leathering it?

Pathetic stuttering runs.

I don't remember ever seeing a stuttering run up being scored. I remember plenty of them being missed though. I think I'd go to prison for beating a player to death if I ever managed a team who lost a penalty shootout because of a penalty like that.

PSG are a young side without some of the big personalities,  I enjoy watching them more now than when they had Mbappe, Messi etc , impressive to win back to back

Going to be weird on their Premier league trophy parade tomorrow, already most of their 'loyal' fanbase will miss it as still travelling back from Budapest,  bound to put a downer on it losing today like that.

Been a great season for them though, winning the league first time in a generation, came so close in Champions league, fell short in the final of the Carabao and just came up against a better side in the FA Cup

Only one who does it well is Toney. If you’re going to send the keeper you’ve got to hit the target.

Arsenal sat back too much. I think they could have given PSG if they were a little more confident.

The two penalty misses against an awful goalkeeper. That's just poor. Not sure why Eze did the stupid run up. As for getting a cb to take the 5th penalty...

Players wouldn't do it if there wasn’t a decent rate of success. They do it to get the keeper to move first, so that they can put it the other way. Missing from a stuttering run up is no worse than running up and wellying it into the car park.

Agree to disagree on that one. If your plan in a penalty shootout is to try and out psych the keeper by making him move first then you’re asking for trouble.

Give me the Le Tissier and later Beattie method of pick a spot, don’t change your mind, and twat it.

Never saw Rickie Lambert fucking around with stuttered run ups like some kind of cunt.

Some weird flex’s from other clubs on social media.

Chelsea showing off the trophy cabinet tour with the CL trophy being front and centre.

Djed Spence of Spurs seemingly reposting and cumming in his pants of the fact that he once successfully played ok against Arsenal. Weird flex from a not very good footballer against a team that won the league when you only just survived relegation.

If a coach had told Eze to do what he did, Eze would probably have told him not to be so daft.

Rightly.

Rule number with penalties: hit the bloody target. Even an embarrassing Panenka penalty which a goalkeeper gently catches is better than hitting row Z. If you miss the target you won't score against anyone, including my Gran who passed away decades ago.

And a Panenka. Just pick a spot and thump it. If the keeper saves it then they save it. Rickie was my favourite penalty taker.

If that was the best that football can do I'll stick with the Championship. That was an utterly shite and boring game of football.

Arsenal played it exactly how people expected they'd play it, they just got lucky that they scored first. PSG have had better games though. Doesn't matter though, the trophy is all that matters whether you're Arsenal, Palace, Villa or, erm, Hull. 😝

You've done it now, Spence to score the winner in the World Cup final.

Le Tiss, Lambert etc. They step up for a pen, you have complete confidence in it being converted.
