It would have to be to a Premier League club surely, not sure his stock would be high enough for Bundesliga. Would an PL club go for him? I don’t see it. Also in his interests to build his CV with us and stick a promotion on there. I think he is on a lot of shortlists around Europe. I don't think he stays too long if we don't go up. https://the72.co.uk/2026/04/23/southampton-stuttgart-eye-tonda-eckert-hoeness-exit/

Not that I'd want us to sell him but he'll likely go in the summer if we don't get promoted. 1 hour ago, benjii said: I think we would ask for more than that and unless he has a release clause we don't need to accept a poor offer. This is the worry. It seems we agree these at fairly low sums (£25m suggested for Scienza)and perhaps look to renegotiate terms after a year. If it is the case then it’s a shame, but reverse argument is we can’t sign the player without.

But I’m with Gio seeing an element of Steve Williams style in the videos. Anyway if he doesn’t give a Williams - Schneiderlin hybrid performance v the Skates then it’s open letter time to Spors. Great that he’s living up to hopes and expectations. Hope we can keep him for another season, whichever division we’re in.
S-Clarke Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He was immense tonight, carried on from the FA Cup game. He reads the game so well, and you wouldn't think it by looking at him, but he's so strong and so hard to get the ball off of. He protects it so well, anticipates well - but just watch him off the ball as well, he's got a very intelligent and mature above his age approach to his work rate and the positions he anticipates. 4

Jander's legs seem like Inspector Gadget when he makes some of those tackles, you can see the leg grow, win the ball and retract again. One of the best at winning the ball in that way I've seen, without fouling. He's got a huge future. 3

Pilchards Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Had a good look at him today and every tackle and quick ball to get us going was done by Jander. Easily can see a team shoving a 40m cheque under our noses if we don’t go up. 1
HarvSFC Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If we can get £40m for Fernandes then we should absolutely be asking for the same for Jander.
