Which is fine. It doesn't say anything about him having an ego though.

"ego" has many meanings.  All derived from its original Latin meaning of I / me / myself.

Please don't get me wrong. I think he's a great player and I'm glad that he is playing for us. He will however need to adjust his temperament to the English game.

No he doesn't. He's proven so far that his temperament is great. It's our other loser players that need to adjust their temperaments not Scienza.

I see things a lot of other people miss.

I raised a reasonable question and I received a reasoned and sensible answer from Verbal.

We can move on.

You see a lot of things that aren’t there

Eh? Are we talking at cross purposes?

What I am (attempting) to say is that he will attract a lot of physical attention from other less talented players and he probably won't win the fouls that he might have expected in his previous experiences.

"he will have to adjust his temperament to the English game" he's already won more fouls than any other player since he signed I am sure. He doesn't need to adjust he temperament, he needs to keep doing what he is doing.

Just because you yourself can't see them doesn't mean that they aren't there.

Just because you see them it doesn’t mean they’re real outside of your own inflated ego.

Indeed,  but he's more use to us on the pitch than suspended.

Yeah cos he’s really struggling overall isn’t he.

In what way?

I have to say I've found the arguments on this thread rather difficult to follow. He feels that he isn't getting enough protection from the refs, and I suspect there'd be very few on this board who disagreed with that view.

Objecting to attempts to physically harm him seems reasonable, and I've seen little evidence of diving.

Whatever happens from now on he'll always be loved at Saints. Pahars style cult hero.

The fact that he doesn't yet have the armband is another mark on Tonda.

The man is class. Give the man a key to the city. I havent felt a connection to a saints player like this since at least a decade...maybe longer.

To be honest when Stephens is on the pitch I don't mind him having the armband. But Armstrong is the worst vice captain I've ever seen. So Scienza should be in the conversation for that at least.

When Aribo leaves, give him the number 7 shirt.

Le Tiss, Lambert, Long... and Leo.

Did Keegan spell his name with a silent L? 🤔😁

The best player in the league and to be honest it’s probably not even close.

Credit where it’s due, Spors has got us a gem.

Seen a few doubting him to step up to the prem but if todays anything to go by he will be just fine.

I think it’s actually debatable now if he’s better then lallana was with us at this level ? Both great in their own ways lallana a bit more tricky but Leo has the directness and pace that he can as most cut through teams by himself if he tightens up the shooting would be a monster

that word again - "fine"

He needs to score more with the chances he has to be a good premier league player. He is good enough to step up though

That’s my only criticism of him he misses a lot of chances. Ability wise probably good enough to step up but should probably have had 10-12 goals this season

Absolutely but because many of his chances are kinda self made we can forgive it more .. also at least he always does provide a goal threat when you compare him to fellows on the other side Leo is the only one who really kinda cuts in and provides that goal threat from out wide

Agreed - he should've had one today easily. Love the guy, but that final ball is more often poor than good.
1. Should've scored that major chance

2. At least two chances today where he could have passed across goal to Larin or Azaz. Although I think the main Larin one he didn't as he (Larin) was offside??

He'll be in the Prem next season, with or without us.

Really can’t see anyone forking out the cash required for someone turning 28 in September unless he seriously ups his output. I think we can say goodbye to THB either way though.

Larin didn't use his brain on that one. All he needed to do was stay behind the ball and he's onside for a tap-in. The fact that he didn't is a worry and vindicated Leo's decision to go for goal even though he missed. Larin should have held his run to stay onside which would have given Leo the option - he'd still have shot mind you 🙂
