Willo of Whiteley Posted Tuesday at 20:57 Posted Tuesday at 20:57 Expect the line up tombola to be in full flight for this game. Can see Downes, Stephens, maybe every Quarshie reinstated into the team, because let’s face it, he definitely isn’t switching from three CBs.
benjii Posted Tuesday at 20:58 Posted Tuesday at 20:58 No need to change anything. System is working. And if it isn't, just swap the wing backs around a bit. 2
AlexLaw76 Posted Tuesday at 21:01 Posted Tuesday at 21:01 The system is working / not the issue and it is getting better and better. Just to cut and paste from the last couple of games. Expect 3 at the back, expect Fellows to maybe play RWB and possibly Manning at LWB. Reckon Downes may come in and rinse and repeat

Lighthouse Posted Tuesday at 21:12 Posted Tuesday at 21:12 They’re in the relegation and in dreadful form, so I think we’re going to need to bolster our defence, maybe add an extra CB just to make sure. Keeper (Either one, I don’t care) Wood THB Manning Fraser Edwards Welington Downes Charles Jander Armstrong I know it’s risky but it’s worth a try. 11
James Posted Tuesday at 21:13 Posted Tuesday at 21:13 Let’s be honest, who cares? Feels like this season has already passed us by. We won’t even sniff the play offs without a striker. 12

Surely bazanu can make the team too, playing as a sweeper. 1
Wade Garrett Posted Tuesday at 21:22 Posted Tuesday at 21:22 More 5 at the back from the insipid ginger idiot. Probably another winless Saturday. Absolutely criminal that Still can’t get more from that squad. 3

benali-shorts Posted Tuesday at 21:28 Posted Tuesday at 21:28 We could crowbar in another CB, leave Fellows Azaz and Robinson out and see if Ronnie Corbett available to add to our comedy midget attack. 6
benjii Posted Tuesday at 21:28 Posted Tuesday at 21:28 Macca Mads Wood Quarshie Welly Charles Jander Fellows Scienza Armstrong Aribo. 3
S-Clarke Posted Tuesday at 21:35 Posted Tuesday at 21:35 Blackburn are due a win, so we know what will happen here. 4

die Mannyschaft Posted Tuesday at 21:40 Posted Tuesday at 21:40 Saints cant handle direct proper footballing teams like Bristol City so another loss 2-0. £40m tean looks no better over 95mins than league 1. Leo must be thinking about handing transfer in Jan
Pamplemousse Posted Tuesday at 21:48 Posted Tuesday at 21:48 We'll get back to drawing ways. An optimistic 0-0 1 1
Badger Posted Tuesday at 21:49 Posted Tuesday at 21:49 I’m going but think it might be a better afternoon looking for and counting the famous 4,000 holes in Blackburn, Lancashire , than watching Saints.
Mboto Gorge Posted Tuesday at 21:52 Posted Tuesday at 21:52 I fully expect us to lose this aswell, a team could be bang out of form and still benefit from us gifting them a few goals, we will probably focus on tightening up whilst forgetting we also need to show some threat at the other end, and lose 1-0. One thing I’ll guarantee- we won’t win .

EBS1980 Posted Tuesday at 22:01 Posted Tuesday at 22:01 Expect Stephens for Edwards. It should be 4-2-3-1 though. With Leo Azaz and Fellows as the 3 that should be more than enough to create chances. 1
Andy Hill Posted Tuesday at 22:23 Posted Tuesday at 22:23 Play the U21s or U18s - can’t be any worse and at least they are used to winning. 1

CSA96 Posted Tuesday at 23:25 Posted Tuesday at 23:25 (edited) I'd go to 4-2-3-1 as I think the key to getting out of this rut is going to be getting Scienza, Fellows and Azaz on the pitch and in the final third at the same time. I hear the criticism of Azaz and some of it is pretty fair, but he has proven it with Boro and with Plymouth and has back to back double-digit seasons for goals and assists. We need to find a way to get him going and that's on the coach We've committed £15m on him and don't have any other No. 10s in the squad, so he needs to bed in and find his feet quickly So I'd go for... McCarthy Roerslev Stephens Wood Manning Charles Downes/Jander Fellows Azaz Scienza Armstrong - Reasoning... Defence: get your experienced heads in there, take Edwards out of the firing line now and keep Quarshie watching. THB can play instead of Stephens if you prefer but I think Jack gives you more leadership and personality (yes, I know...) Midfield: I like Jander but his slack passing has cost us about three times now? Flynn is experienced and a bit more 'streetwise' in the Championship. Wouldn't drop Shea Charles, so it's up to you if you want Jander or Downes here Forwards: Archer is a dead weight so sack him off, get Fellows and Scienza where they should be (out wide and running at the full backs) and put Arma up top because he's the only striker worth anything if the ball comes to his feet in the box or 1v1 (even if he can't lead the line well and it's not his best role) Find a way to become more transitional when we're attacking. Get the ball into Azaz early and try and get Scienza, Fellows, Armstrong running into channels and beyond the defensive line That's all I've got but it's what I'd do at this stage Edited Tuesday at 23:27 by CSA96 5
Jack Posted yesterday at 00:04 Posted yesterday at 00:04 Trust the process etc THB needs dropping again after tonight, and we don’t need 3 CBs anyway. Don’t really care, this season is a write off already. 2
OttawaSaint Posted yesterday at 01:54 Posted yesterday at 01:54 Don't feel like putting myself through another 90+ minutes of this. Heading for 4 wins in 50 league matches. Fuck that. 1
Sheaf Saint Posted yesterday at 05:07 Posted yesterday at 05:07 5 hours ago, Jack said: THB needs dropping again after tonight, You're not wrong. But the really worrying part is that he wasn't even the worst CB in the pitch last night.
EBS1980 Posted yesterday at 06:53 Posted yesterday at 06:53 With both right backs now injured I guess it’ll be 3-4-3 for a while longer with Fraser and Fellows sharing the right wing back place
AlexLaw76 Posted yesterday at 06:56 Posted yesterday at 06:56 (edited) I would freshen it up a little. Mccarthy Edwards Wood Quarshie Manning Downes Charles Fellows Azaz Scienza Armstrong Surely a big ask for Wellington to play 3 games this week, freshen it up in midfield and get Fellows and Azaz on the pitch. not ideal having Armstrong up there, but get Azaz closer to him. Edited yesterday at 06:57 by AlexLaw76
Willo of Whiteley Posted yesterday at 07:06 Author Posted yesterday at 07:06 Just go attacking. Mccarthy; Roerslev, Wood, Quarshie, Welington (if fit); Charles, Jander, Azaz; Scienza, Fellows and Armstrong. The front three in rotation with Azaz just behind should destroy Blackburn, but we know this isn’t clicking at the moment. 2
Sarnia Cherie Posted yesterday at 07:19 Posted yesterday at 07:19 Both us and Blackburn need a win. I just hope it's us.

Excellent supporter, I'll give it a miss as save on 3 longer trips is almost a season ticket for leaque 1 next season. Although Saints will still be very expensive. Wanted to do Blackburn as last time there won in cup 1984, huge support and great football. Plenty empty Blackburn seats back then

The blame for any major errors lays squarely on Nathan Wood, not only for the awful goal, but also a lot of sloppy decisions and passes that crept in under 2nd half pressure. To go directly after THB is a somewhat harsh narrative.
Thripp87 Posted yesterday at 09:11 Posted yesterday at 09:11 I’ve got 2 travel and 2 tickets to this. Please someone take them off me, open to any offer. Not an easy sell I accept, I just can’t be bothered to go. 1

Dman Posted yesterday at 11:58 Posted yesterday at 11:58 First 6 pointer of the season for me. Lose this then the double relegation is well on the cards. 0-0 or 1-1 because that's what we do against shit teams. 1

THB barely jogging back for their first as they’re breaking, then just stands there 2 yards behind everyone else to play them onside for the 2nd. Kind of flukey goal I know but if he gets out then it doesn’t happen. He generally slows us down at every opportunity and doesn’t look interested to me, and has been that way all season. 5
Lee On Solent Saint Posted yesterday at 17:18 Posted yesterday at 17:18 Fully expect Stephens to come back in. Wouldn't surprise me if Baz was also back as well. Still continuing to throw shit at the wall in the vain hope that some of it sticks.

Blackburn will certainly battle and were on the verge of beating Ipswich until late abandonment recently

No doubt if they are physical we will get bullied in our usual manner. I don't think we have ever had a team of so many physical weak players 1
Convict Colony Posted yesterday at 18:01 Posted yesterday at 18:01 Guys i've decided predicting scores is now beneath me. Elite predictors predict players and i am manifesting the shit out of this one. Damion Downs will score. 2
OneMrsWallace Posted yesterday at 18:09 Posted yesterday at 18:09 I'm predicting we will be 1-0 down with 10min to go and Still will send Stewart on with one good leg and a crutch, given that's a better option than DD with two good legs. We still lose. Of fuck it, who cares - certainly not the players, manager or owners as far as I can tell 🤣
