I’m not seeing evidence of the basics in terms of passing and move in the team. I watch other teams in possession and there seems to be more structure and purpose in their playing - they create more time on the ball and therefore less risk in their passes. 2
Pilchards Posted yesterday at 14:04 Posted yesterday at 14:04 I’m sorry it’s not progress. Played two very weaken teams and we clearly struggled in both. We indeed have no game plan especially watching Armstrong run around like a headless chicken chasing loss causes. 3
Appy Posted yesterday at 14:15 Posted yesterday at 14:15 Does anyone think he’ll be there next season? Would be stunned if it’s not a “thanks but goodbye” in May when we’ve finished outside of the play-offs. 1
AlexLaw76 Posted yesterday at 14:30 Posted yesterday at 14:30 We keep coming up short, whilst looking average at best, against teams with loads of players unavailable Tonda out 2

With SR who knows, they are mad, so it would be no surprise if he was I would prefer him to be gone before Saturday 2
Ted Bates Statue Posted yesterday at 15:44 Posted yesterday at 15:44 still need to make sure we're on course to finish safe of relegation before they can think about next season. One league win in almost two months isn't going to cut it. 2

It was sarcasm but yeah I agree. 😂 He won’t be here next season, neither will Spors.

Johannes Spors will be gone in the summer too. Expect a gardening leave type scenario. Spors will be gone with Tonda as he did persuade dragon to appoint tonda

What was the point in the whole experiment? for SR to see if we already had a genius manager within the ranks that could get them out of jail? 😂 I believe it just means there is an agreed payout figure in the contract.... rather than on the hook for the balance of the contract

Dell McDellFace Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Many people on this thread: "We turned Carrick down for Tonda" The commentator on Sky said he was interviewed, but not that we turned him down. It could well be the case that he turned us down because the offer didn't give him the autonomy that he wanted in terms of team matters. And maybe Tonda is constrained and advised who/when to substitute based on what the data scientists say - he hinted as much in an interview. Perhaps he is okay to take the flack for things that aren't under his control. I still like him and want him to succeed! 1

I'm not at the like him stage yet as he seems so distant and guarded in interviews rarely showing more depth to the personality seems another serious bloke ala will still. That is the ultimate issue any manager that comes here it seems isn't allowed to manage in the sense of the word and that will never ever work out so SR need to change the philosophy or we will continue to have a rotating door of managers.

Turn him down or not let a decent manager manage the club how he wants - just as bad as each other IMO.

Wade Garrett Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago 10 hours ago, Starksj1995 said: 100 percent will as dragon trusted spors Than Dragan is an idiot. Jumped from one nerdy kid to another one. He was advised to get someone experienced in and ignored that. Went for the cheap, easy, compliant option again. Spors is a prat, he wanted his mate in position as soon as they sacked Still. But the blame goes on Dragan. He could have said no. 1

The club were live interviewing Tonda for weeks, so any other links were just tabloid filler as the club had already made their choice. It was probably made in the summer tbh, but acted on sooner than they envisaged - but Tonda's trajectory was decided the moment he was made U21 manager. Edited 6 hours ago by S-Clarke
Mr X Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) That's the thing none of us expect to win every game and anyone that comes in needs to be given a reasonable amount of time but we need to see some evidence that Tonda could be the right fit and I really dont think he is. After the initial run of four wins we have been really poor overall and that wouldn't be so bad if performances were good and in game tactics and management was sound or players has started performing better under him but they haven't! All in all I can't see that he is the "manager" to get the club back on track but then who is???? Edited 5 hours ago by Mr X 1
Jack Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Boasting about how we have 96% of the squad available for selection isn’t a great look when we’ve got 7 points and 1 win in 9 games. Especially as we’ve dropped so many points to sides with half their first team sidelined. He bores me to death 1

I heard it and I was like “fat lot of good that did us when other teams were 96% depleted”.

Maybe it’s about defending his tactic of taking our best performers off after an hour to save them for the following week’s defeat. Edited 49 minutes ago by Jack 1
