I really like Matsuki. Unfortunately Leo is having a bit of a sloppy day and Archer is.... playing.

Matsuki definitely growing into the game and puts himself about, but Leo is a class apart even on an off day. Archer has not convinced 😞

Alarming how awful we've been seen second half against West Brom. No tactical flexibility from the manager so expect more of the same.

Tonda is petrified of Millwall. Yes, Millwall. This reminds me of the Pellegrino season where the players were instructed not to attack for fear of a counter attack. I was a regular but stopped when Pellegrino parked the bus at home to Huddersfield, the lowest scorers in the PL. Predictably the 1-0 lead was thrown away.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Not sure who he’s trying to convince saying that on repeat every game. Himself?

It's basically like we're playing 523 which is completely imbalanced. So Scienza and Matsuki are coming deeper meaning it's more like a 541. At home. No wonder we're devoid of attacking ideas. Get Wood or Stephens off and stick another CM or attacker on please God. How can thousands of fans see it but the people around the club can't. If you want to play the 3 CBs, maybe do it away from home but Tonda has shown no tactical flexibility since he's been here.

That was possibly the most shit half of football I've ever seen, and I've seen a few shit games. It's almost as if this lot literally does the bare minimum to break a sweat, they probably chat about meeting for golf at half time, and this lot earn tens of thousands per week...i never thought I'd see most of an entire team stealing a living but there you go.

Trouble is, he finds a nugget of form and then the Nanager changes the fucking team to be even more defensive so his supply also changes. Shit.

Just watching the HT highlights. That moment when Millwall let Stephens waltz to the edge of their box, and he basically just passed it to the keeper. WTF?

Fucking rubbish half.

Wish I’d never bothered. It’s fucking freezing as well.

Genuine question, at what point would you stop bothering?

I lasted the first 20 minutes and decided I could do literally anything with my life and would be more worthwhile than watching that shite.

I find this modern dogmatic formation rigidity stuff bizarre. We need an extra midfielder to combat their tactics as we haven’t a target man. There are times playing 523 will work well, this clearly isn’t one of them.

Live match report from St Marys.

Went for a wee on 33 minutes and it was a big decision to walk back upstairs and re take my seat. If I’d come on my own I think I’d be back in the car by now.

End of report.

I remember when Kompany strode forward for City once, when they needed a win to close in on the title, and he rifled one into the top corner. What a strike. Sadly Stephens is not Kompany.

this is a perfect example of why this system is shit.

They are pretty happy for any of our CBs to have the ball in our own defensive 3rd, whilst they man-mark the rest of our team. No space!

When we do attack, most of the time we have huge gaps between the front 2/3 and everyone else.

When we lose the ball, we are VERY quickly in a back 5 with Downes and Bragg racing across the pitch covering for the 2-v-1s Jelert and Manning at facing....leaving huge gaps in the middle of the park.

We are expecting far too much creativity from THB and Manning...just madness

This system just cannot be all we have. It will get us absolutely no where in the league, all whilst spending a fucking fortune for the privilege

Yeah, the fact that Archer finally managed one instinctive flick to score a goal should not hide the fact that he's 99.99% crap. It was predictable that he'd be hopeless today when given a start.

Matsuki has done okay but I think with Jelert on perhaps Fellows could come on for Matsuki

Are you Tonda? Get Fellows on for Wood or Stephens! Go 4231 and bloody go for it!

Yeah there is absolutely no need for 3 CBs today. Millwall are so comfortable.

Seen I few comments that Matsuki is doing ok, watching him live he looks like a 14 year old who’s been flung into the men’s team to make up the numbers.

Right then. Old Speckled Hen. Purely for medicinal reasons of course.

C'mon Saints, give us something to smile about.

Don't worry, I'm sure Captn Jack is looking after him, fostering excellence in him with all his big game experience.
