Perfect result from Watford, eases the pressure somewhat.

why? Don't think so. Still a massive 3 points tonight. Adds to pressure not to mess up.

Really hope the players are up for this and they dont play like they did against WBA.

Need to get fitness and conditioning spot on to get through the last few games. And have the right attitude (as per the Fulham and Coventry).

You see it so often, the team going first socks up, the team playing after fails to take advantage due to that little bit of respite given.

Norwich... Another one of those teams where "changing the manager will achieve absolutely nothing".... ;)

it is nothing to do with managers as we’ve been told many times pal 🙄🙄🙄

Is it me or have the "it's the quality of the players... no-ones's going to get a tune out of them" experts gone a tad quiet of late...? ;)

Maybe they're discussing their next move with the "changing the formation won't have any effect" brigade...? 🙂

Win tonight and we go 6th. 3 points behind Hull and 5 behind Millwall both of which have a worse goal difference than us.

We'd still be 8 points behind Millwall but anyway getting a bit ahead of ourselves even mentioning them.

People are saying it wouldn't surprise them if Norwich make the play-offs...

The points difference between Norwich and the play-offs is 9 points. If we win tonight, the points difference between ourselves and Middlesbrough in 2nd place will be 10 points... ergo automatic promotion is still on...!

Beat that for getting ahead of ourselves... 😂

so you agree it doesn't ease the pressue

I really hope they’re up for this one. I’m sure they will be knowing they’re three points away from the playoffs. It’ll be a major psychological boost.

That said 3-1 Norwich.

I've not driven to a midweek game for a while, does the new park and ride run for the game and if you're coming in from that direction is it worth getting or better to just park in town?

Don't worry just seen on the OS it's weekends only...

We'd be 8 behind Millwall. Edit: someone mentioned already nevermind!

The sun is shining bright here this morning in Southamptonshire, spring is in the air , the birds are singing and the mighty Saints are at home,  must be God's way of telling me to go out early for a few pre match beverages in the sun , surely a home win to put us into a play off place*

*reality it will be another WBA style game,  1-1 draw

Norwich will be bang up for this and know that they must win if they want to make the playoffs. This could potentially be our hardest game left (although maybe not with Ipswich and Wrexham still to come). Win this and it will be a major test passed. I reckon it will be a draw though which isn't a disaster given that Wrexham just lost. Fingers crossed I'm wrong though!

Watford winning takes the pressure off a bit. Whilst we want a win, even a draw moves us closer.

The play offs are a party we are definitely not invited to, we're currently sitting on the wall outside with a bottle of white lightening. Someone is going to drop their guard soon and we are in, ready to cause havoc 😀

Watch for the manager handshake tonight.

Tonda: I'm so lucky that the players started doing everything!

Clement: I know! I pinch myself at my good fortune at fluking success.

The more attacking, and open Norwich are, the more it should suit us. It's the more defensive...sorry...low block...teams that are a pain to break down.

A win for us.

Just coincidence. Both teams upturn in form coincided with a change of manager, it’s the same players plus new signings the club would have made anyway so can’t give the manager any credit for that

its also coincidence that those who said it’s nothing to do with  manager have gone quite as this time of year is notorious for surprise birthday parties, weddings and peak work times

After a spare in the Northam for tonight if anyone has a ticket but can’t make it and want to sell it on? It’s sold out now. Usually the midweek games have loads of gaps so thought it’d be worth asking.

Failing that someone might have an answer to this - can you just walk into the Northam from the Kingsland corner or are the stewards on top of it there?

You can’t from the Kingsland but you can from the Itchen North. It leaves the corner open on the concourse for access to the fanzone.

There's still plenty of seats on sale in Northam blocks 47/48 👍

This is one of those weird games that comes under the Saturday 3pm blackout, so anyone trying to watch on TV will find it harder than usual.

Indeed. I am pleased we've finally got a manager who has the team performing in line with my expectations of the squad quality. Possibly even slightly above them :poundit:

Nearly getting back to a fully fit squad. Who drops out of the Coventry matchday squad for Scienza, Stewart, Wellington? I draw the line at Jay Robinson getting back in but what if he’s considered? Of course you would hope that useless oath Archer would drop out but can’t see it unfortunately.

Obviously we will not win all our remaining games but we are on a good run at the moment beating the Top Club at the weekend  so why be pessimistic just support the players and we will probably get to the play offs

I'm going to stand outside looking in the window of Radio Rentals and/or Rumbelows (don't mind which) waiting for their televisions to update the Ceefax page.

That's how I found out we beat Man Utd 6-3.

I've said it a few times on various forums but the Disney end to the season is a 92nd minute winner at Wembley for Wrexham vs us cue the montage of losing to us in the 94th minute on day 1 etc....

Anyway, I think we'll get a draw tonight personally - SMS often seems to pile a bit of pressure on the players and Norwich are on a great run of form (which is annoying as I hate them).

Hope I'm wrong and we blow them away 4-0.  I'm going Saturday so expect Oxford to do the double on us sadly

316 for scores?

I think this is going to be a tough match.

It's going to be won down the wing, we need to move forward quickly when they're forward

I think we'll win 2-1. I think Azaz will score one, and their goal will come late on

Anyone know of a good stream for the game tonight ??

720pstream usually works for me, you can google though and there's a whole resource dedicated to such things called champagne pages. Don't think I'd be allowed to link here.

Had this not been rearranged I'd have gone to it and it's not on TV tonight which blows chunks. But I'll have SSN updates and you lot so I'm covered.

We’ll smash these bumpkin cunts tonight.

It'll give them a nice dose of reality and then they can fuck off back to their “good run of form” by beating the likes of Preston, Oxford, Blackburn, Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday again.
