SNSUN Posted April 28 Posted April 28 All Ipswich now. 2nd is done but what a ride it has been. Let's win the play-offs shall we? 😜 1
Mr X Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Looking more and more like am Ipswich winner! we are knackered 1
Mr X Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Just now, coalman said: We can still nick this. Not looking like it
SaintsRoyalty Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Get George Long on for the lols. Shit keepers can score headers.
Lighthouse Posted April 28 Posted April 28 What a save! Such a shame it’s not going to mean anything.
ChristopheVAFC Posted April 28 Posted April 28 If we can’t win the match, we must at least make sure we don’t lose it... A special mention must go to tonight’s referee, who was particularly poor, failing to award at least two penalties and a red card that number 24 should logically have received. The battle isn’t over yet, lads. We mustn’t give up! Come On ! 2
AlexLaw76 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 2-2 Ipswich were never going to lose that, and we have seen why they need to finish 2nd. They players they have a far better than the other 3 in the playoffs. 2
obelisk Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Got to hope that Ipswich win on Saturday. Wouldn't want them in the play-offs. Saints legs went at the end. Disappointing. 1
Mr X Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Should have won that.... Still it was looking like a loss at times so grateful for a point!
Patches O Houlihan Posted April 28 Posted April 28 bollocks ...we're still unbeaten in the league though. 3 more to go
SouSaint Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Unlucky boys. Ran out of steam in the end. Dust ourselves off and win the POs. You reds.
Willo of Whiteley Posted April 28 Author Posted April 28 Edozie wasn’t the right sub. Should’ve kept Larin on. Ref gutted not to be on the winning side. Rest a few players at Preston, role on the play offs. 4
Baird of the land Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Fair point. Bit disappointing that we dropped do deep at 2-1. rotation at the weekend I’m guessing
SaintsRoyalty Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Home fixture for the playoffs is key. Cannot have passengers like Fellows and Edozie at the sharp end of the pitch. Fingers crossed Matsuki is fit. 2
coalman Posted April 28 Posted April 28 If we were going to have a shonky defensive performance better tonight than in the playoffs. Now we can at least manage players to be in the best shape for them.
Swaythling Saint Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Shame we couldn't hold on, would take anyone but Ipswich in the play offs
Harry_SFC Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Can't moan - players knackered because of that amazing cup run. Great game of football. 4
Lighthouse Posted April 28 Posted April 28 So, a draw neither side will really give two sh*ts about really.
northdevonsaint Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Professional job by Ipswich. we looked knackered by the end. play offs still a remarkable achievement from where we were. Don't feel too gutted
Osvaldorama Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Great game. Fair play Ipswich, thought they were fantastic tonight. In all honesty we should be joining them in the autos. We are both better than Coventry imo. But we stuck with bazunu, will still and arma for far too long. Oh well. Up the saints. 8
benjii Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Good game considering what we went through on Saturday. Nothing to fear if we play them in the playoffs with our squad fit.
Saint86 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 (edited) Deserved to win that game, despite being absolutely shattered after City, and at least we stopped Ipswich's promotion party and have given them something to stress about during the week. Ipswich are bang average and very lucky the season isn't a couple of games longer. Maybe even 1 longer as i've got no doubts both us and Millwall would have caught them. As for tonight, the Ref certainly gave them every decision going in this one as well. They're very lucky they'll dodge the playoffs as i'd rank them behind Saints and Millwall for quality. saintant Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Charles has scored some great goals but not sure how he stays on the pitch for the whole game tonight. Great goal by Larin. We looked shattered but not surprisingly. Now win the play-offs. 1
StrangelyBrown Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Shea Charles with the ultimate propaganda performance tonight. What exactly is he saving himself for? Everyone else put in a shift but Charles trots around like a useless twat. Never have I seen such a pathetic performance in such an important game. Rant over. 1

James G Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I don't think it's the worst result. Automatics were unlikely after Bristol City. We need a rest of sorts I'd trust us in the playoffs after a rest.
sfc4prem Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Quality game of football. Shame we didn't come out on top. Either side could've won that. Got some quality little players Ipswich. Jack Clarke looks a superb player - reminds me a bit of Lallana.
Maggie May Posted April 28 Posted April 28 No wins in three is concerning form going into the play offs. 2
Scoobysaint Posted April 28 Posted April 28 If and when Ipswich go up, they will struggle in the Prem with VAR. Every single corner they were shoving our defenders away, blatant but never spotted. Also they won’t get all the dodgy pens. 1
